XM dropped the ball on this piece when it comes to qc and those heads being smooth and dull compared to the body. Definitely not a fan of that green saliva or the base which in my opinion is too dull and oversized. The whole thing should be able to ship in one box. Great review as always and love your honesty. Thanks for sharing.
i usually don't have issues with their product. i guess it's better to happen to me than others since i'm not very anal about this kinda thing. i like the base being huge and not too heavy and still doesn't take away from the character. i think they could get away with just one box but it will be so heavy too.
No eres fan de su saliva verde porque no eres fan de Venom, los fans verdaderos amamos esa saliva verde es totalmente característico del personaje, sin mencionar su enorme base que es para engrandecerlo es obvio pero no lo notas ya que no eres fan.
el envío debe ser en dos cajas de lo contrario no se podría enviar por el peso por eso se distribuye en dos además del cuidado de la pieza.
Overall, I think the textures on both the base and Venom are too much. I agree with you in some degree. As a whole is good, but a pass for me.
Was really hoping this was the venom piece I’d finally go in on compare with my sideshow bust, but looks like I’ll keep waiting for now. Great video as always and appreciate the honest reviews!

We are waiting for shipping notification for now, shall see when it arrives. One big Venom statue, for that cost. Don't need plugs anyway. Venom should be done in dynamic pose always, imo, and this one is. Congrats,great statue,at least for us
nice Jelena! i know a lot of people will love it. the price is fair for what you get for sure. it's a very nice statue, just not the best of Venom for me yet.

I really like this one. Probably my favorite Venom Statue to date. The concept and intensity make this one for me. Your critiques mirror my own. The body is too textured which clashes with nearly all the portraits which instead are more smooth. Had no idea he was so big. I saw a picture next to the first Batman PF which I used to own. I thought that Batman was pretty big but Venom dwarfed him!

If the the portrait with green saliva, didn't have the green color and instead was clear or not there would that be your favorite portrait?

Wow. Very bold move for an undertaking of this magnitude by XM. Love the base and concept of this Venom alot better than the Sideshow one of him standing over half a glider and green ooz on the base. Whenever they make something with that many parts and details, there will always be some quality issues. Just like the Sideshow one it has noticable seam lines which by the looks of things is the least of your problems. The way he is posed on the angel and not sitting flush could be a future issue. Very impressive piece and looks amazing all together. Congratulations on getting it.
I am happy with this statue. the seam lines can only be seen from the side angle so it's not that big of deal but you can't unsee it. I hardly ever come across QC issues with XM so once in a while is ok. i can always get the replacement if it start to lean or whatever too.

This is definitely a cool-looking statue but at the same time a little disappointing from XM studios. The price is fair considering what you're getting, but the QC issues Marr this piece.

This should arrive in the next few weeks, hopefully it pegs in properly... Maybe it's just me, but when you put the statue sideways (like 7:10 ish in the video), it doesn't look like that big tendril at the back actually adds that much depth to the piece? About 5cm or so perhaps? Not sure whether I will put that one in or not. Anyway, thanks for a good look at this, Art.
that's awesome. let me know if you have problem with the foot when you get it. the tendril adds another 4 inches of depth from the base (which isn't much) but since Venom is leaning to the front, it looks like it's further back.

Great review as usual! I got mine yesterday, however the left hand can’t key in completely, so disappointing
but the feet are ok on yours? i just noticed that the left hand is way off from it's placement too...
The feet I’m think is ok .but left hand really bother me when I’m looking at it. I saw the other collector’s pictures I think they have the same left hand issue like us in xm life .
Are you running out of your white pedestal display units?
i have couple of more left but i'm saving those for huge pieces
Very nice statue but I like more the first XM venom, is more simple but is insane. Both are great statues.

I have not seen the first venom in person but i do like this one. I bought the electric turntable from Toys King which they stop selling but they are from China. Sorry i couldn't help you more.

Still waiting mine as an Europeen (french) collector.
We can see there is "blue shades" on his body, but far far less than a previous review i've seen (it was with atheprototype...)
For me its a shame, because I thought it was a realy good idea to had them.
Can you tell me if it's the video that make it less "visible", or it's really a tiny shade ?
I cannot tell also of thoses shade are less visible on the heads.
good point. i forgot to talk about that. the prototype had more visible blue highlights in it. the production has less but you can still see some under a white light.

Great review as always! Not my favorite Venom, and I agree there is way too much texture on him. Unfortunate about the right foot floating and the 1 portrait flaw.

Yooo what up Art, great review my bro. I love this statue and for $1100 its a great deal in my opinion. I def don't think you need the plug in, i like it the way it is. Another great piece added to the collection.

Man. XM needs to fix their paint! Why are there dots on the transformation portrait?! That wasn’t there on the prototype!! Also the key in on the right foot and how the left hand doesn’t key in (second one I’ve seen like this)!! WTF. Less than 700 of these and their QC is garbage!!! Disappointing to say the least…especially waiting almost 2 years since I pre-ordered this
this is the first time i'm having trouble with statue from XM so i'm not gonna be mad over it. the paint job on the face is a little disappointing but overall, it's still a great statue.
@@artstatuecollector2nd statue from them, with 3 more on PO. Hopefully it ends up settling, or they fix the issue before they ship anymore
Never liked the texture they added to the costume, gave me the impression of burnt plastic. The blue highlights on the emblem on his chest and back either show up a lot worse on camera, or they just did a bad job painting it.
the blue highlights aren't really jumping out at you in person. it has the blend of grey and shadow in it.
Love it Art but I'm getting lbs.
