the actual exploit is pretty new
I believe that we have not yet explored its full potential.
It could even be that within so many new developments something appears that revolutionizes everything... who knows?
my knowledge is little and limited compared to most devs(if not all), but I have big ambitions with my project.

I love your videos and the router option would be great just plug it in and forget it like the raspberry pi I tried the linux version for some reason it won't load even after the chmod +x I don't know what I did wrong but thanks a lot for these videos it's always good to see you upload a new update to this lol

After a few days I finally finished my PS4 setup. I have a usb-ethernet adapter hooked up to my pc and the PS4 on a stand behind my desk with a bunch of exclusives installed as well as P.T.

Congrats man. If you let me ask something, does the ethernet cable need to stay connected all the time while the console is on? Or once the exploit start working you can unplug it until the next time you restart the console?

@@devilkinggaming1603 I think I had that problem too. If you have 2 ethernet cables plugged into your pc make sure to select Ethernet 2 when you do the exploit and before testing your internet connection uncheck the "Connect to the internet" option then check it back. That should let your ps4 find your ip

It's an ethernet exploit, so it will be ethernet only. Just like 9.00 was USB only.
Made a huge difference to raspi 3b. Went from being about 10 mins, to about 1min.

This exploit also works on 9.0x firmwares but u can also just update to 11.00

I have a slim model and updated from 10.50 to 11.00 for this and for the life of me i CAN NOT get past defeating KASLR. Sometimes the PS4 crashes at "Sending IPCP configure ACK". Tried different cables, different UI's, bins, payloads, rebooting, rebuilding the PS4 file system... NOTHING is working. Hopefully something will be updated to help us out because i know im not alone with this.

This exploit won't work for 11.02 as it was patched, you'll be waiting a while for the next exploit.
If your good with soldering then you can revert your PS4 if you really want to, or if you have the money to spend buy a 9.00 PS4.

Bit of an update for you, I used the new release as of about an hour ago from the github on a Pi Zero 2W with a waveshare Ethernet hat, it takes about 30 seconds per attempt now so the processing power required is dropping significantly and quickly. This is my new setup so I can free up my Pi4 for other things!

Why update....9.00 very stable and you can get a device to load the exploit without usb
Using a RaspberryPi 3B+ it takes around 40seconds to a minute, I don't mind as I can boot the PS4 and just leave whilst I make a coffee.

I'm still confused, there's tutorials out there for the Raspberry Pi but all of the videos use the Python script, what did you do in order to use the C++?

The only drawback of this method is you have time to jailbreak the system with pc in every reboot. Hope we could have a solution for this problem
That's called a tethered jail break.
One that would be untethered would be called custom firmware, literally replacing Sony's operating system from where with a custom version that is jailbroken from the start.
As far as I'm aware there's no custom firmware for the PlayStation 4. I don't think there will be either.

Turn off network connection and put the ps4 in rest mode and it stays. Make sure to tick the turn on rest mode setting in goldhen also.
@@hassanbenhalli You can launch this on windows/mac/linux, somebody will make an android port soon enough to push the payload and you will be able to do it by phone, you can do it with a dedicated raspberri pi, someone will end up making a dedicated payload pushing ethernet device like theyve done for hacked nintendo switches... This is just how the scene goes.
@@yurty6253 My guy, you don't have to turn off network connection, I hope you haven't been doing that the whole time... as 11.0 is not the most recent firmware anyway, the console wont connect to sonys PSN network, and goldhen blocks all connections to Sonys servers.
You can literally JUST put the console to sleep, its fine.

Im really happy about the new jailbreak but sadly, back then I had no hope for the new jailbreak so i just updated to 11.02

I don’t think the first retail version of ps4 is able to do this exploit for right now cuz I’ve tried over like 200 times actually and every time my ps gets past memory scan it either fails or most times crashes my ps

You can run it on an openwrt router already. Just use a linux build for the corresponding architecture. My router works perfectly fine with the linux mipsel build for instance.

forgot to say that on rspberry PI you can mount a secondary partition as USB memory and load there the goldhen .bin file . so you do not have to use any USB stick.

I was able to run the pppwn_cpp on my router. I used the Linux mips variant and worked nicely. The only issue is that it is quite slow.

I reinstalled it and within 1 minute and some change from cold boot with no user input it auto exploited with the pi

@@gianniskamakas3578 Yes I am able to boot the pi from the PS4 usb port once the exploit has been done the pi turns off automatically and on next reboot the pi turns on again to do the exploit automatically

This time when installing it with the new tutorial the terminal will ask you some questions about how you want the script to be set up
You can choose to use the old python version (not recommended)
Or continue with using the updated C++ version
You can also set it up so that the pi is giving internet to the PS4 post exploit

I tried it on PS4 pro 11.0 and the gui mostly crashes the PS4 mid stage 1, sometimes the jailbreak might fail to search for curropted __ and the PS4 won't crash and will retry the jailbreak but eventually crashes the console
1:03 the only way for this jailbreak to be really accessible is for it to be supported by a router

Isn't it the same as 9.00? Using a PKG that is. You get your PKG file, open the GoldHen options > Debug Settings > Package Installer
And as long as you have the PKG on a USB it will pick the file up you can install it.
I just found my PS4 was on FW 9.00 that I had stored in the basement, so I followed an older video of yours and I have the exploit being sent from a pi zero w and I updated the golden from the 2.0bxx that was on the image to the 2.3 release, what is on the 2.4bxx release that's new? is it needed? now that I've hacked it I really have no idea what to do with it.

Still it seems pretty inconvenient if you want regular network access after the jailbreak. It would be nice if they could add support for automatic bridging a USB Ethernet adapter to the Pi‘s built-in Ethernet after a successful exploit. Yes, it won‘t be full speed, but better than changing cables all the time or relying on WiFi.

@@ReveriePass There is a list of URLs and IPs Sony uses for updates. You can easily block them in your router or firewall (if they‘re not totally cheap). Otherwise that list of blocks could be automatically used when that bridging gets active.

I have GL-AR150 router at home which is powered by usb. I you could run it on a router this one would be perfect becouse you can power it from the ps4 itself.

Tried now with the new 1.7 pppwn launcher, sistr0 stage 2 and goldhen (unpacked version)
I use win11 and with this new launcher I get crashes everytime, it gets past the cpu 93 now but after that it crashes, also tried 2 different usb's, any ideas?

There is years between each exploit, it's not something that can be forcefully pushed. This particular ethernet exploit works up to 11.0, then sony patched it in the next update. Now someone has to discover a new exploit and work around it, and it takes time, now even more because they will be working on making this one more stable.
My strong suggest is not to wait, try to get a ps4 under 11.0 as soon as you can, the more time it pass the hardest it is

I found a brand-new ethernet cable at the recycling place when I was throwing away some trash. Maybe look for one and grab it sneakily I think theyre pretty common to find there
I don't know if this thing has already been asked to mental exhaustion, in which case I ask for forgiveness, but: we will ever see a "stand-alone" jailbreak who doesn't need an external device to inject the code every time you power on the console (I cannot keep the PS4 always on or in standby mode in my house)?
when connecting a pi directly with a lan cable to the ps4 and a usb from pi to the ps4, it powers the pi and everything is done automatically. They're both powered on and off at the same time. Script will be executed on the pi automatically after boot is done.
