- HB of B potlood (als er niets op je potlood staat is het meestal HB);
- 4B potlood;
- puntenslijper;
- tekenpapier;
- kommetje.

In this episode you'll learn how to draw hands like Vincent van Gogh. Farmers' hands, just like Vincent loved to draw. He felt their hands were incredibly important, as these were used to sow, dug and harvest on the land. He therefore gave them a prominent place in his masterpiece 'The Potato Eaters' and he made numerous studies of hands in preparation.
Workshop materials:
- HB or B pencil (if there are no markings on your pencil, it’s usually HB);
- 4B pencil;
- pencil sharpener;
- drawing paper;
- small bowl or another object to hold in your hand.
Drawing examples:

Potato Eater was, and still is the pivotal piece he made.. maybe the first piece he put heart and soul into completely...I never saw it in person nor will i see ever.. but in every film and books, my eyes always glued it.. there's something in it that my soul's longing to.. since my college days...sorry if i sound nonsense but it quite true..
you don't sound nonsense at all, it's a magical piece
Very kind of you.. yes it is.
Fantastisch.
lol thanks for sharing.
Thank you for sharing this fantastic video. What a treat to watch the artist work in van Gogh's own workshop!
Glad you enjoyed it!
