With my trauma I had to basically learn how to talk again. I couldn't find anything to talk about. Now three years later I am in a much better place but I still have some scabs from the wound so to speak. It was not combat trauma for me but my trauma shook me to the core
Good stuff Dr P. People need a basic understanding of abuse and trauma. My definition of abuse is anything that you would not let another adult do to you ( shout , hit, belittle , shame and blame ) that you would do to a child is abuse.
In my childhood my grandpa was all the time a very weird and unfamilare person for me. Because of the work from Mister Peter Levine I start to understand his situation and do not jugde him anymore.
He brought the war home and was not able to give me love or to receice my love. Thank you so much.
I'm looking forward to starting this treatment.

Perhaps you can look for someone who has trained with Peter? My therapist has trained with him and does this work. It’s called Somatic Experiencing. You can look up the directory of practitioners. I hope you find someone that can hold space for you and recognize you for where you are in that moment. Much love
The full video isn't at the link provided. I remember seeing this years ago, Peter Le ine was able to show on video this person's trauma occurring in his body. It was kind of in the neck of maybe head shaking, and he would have a reaction. Peter Levine was able to show us that happening in the moment.. anyone know where that full video is by chance?

The young man was in a traumatic incident as a soldier(video on RUclips) with symtpoms, incl. tourette's and this is follow-up showing a much calmer, more regulated human with diffused symptoms, and more engaging!
I wonder if Dr.Levine is still working with trauma victims.Does anyone know?
Not sure but you can look up Somatic Experience Practitioners in a directory. Peter created this work and has passed it onto many others.

Intimacy you can't help them with this. This is only something him and his spouse can work out. And he did absolutely nothing except shake his wad and say yeah
