Thank you, pulling out "detail" is 100% something I'm going for. I try to cut fine frequencies that are too loud, and boost anything that was too quiet. It creates a lot of clarity, and I think it makes the music feel more visceral and "alive". And once you have that clarity, you can also boost the low bass to a more "modern" level without it just sounding like a muddy disaster.
I sadly don’t have any info on that, I just asked Bob Shade for a dark metallic green. You could probably tell him you want the “Hardly Ramone green” if you order from him
I know this is completely unrelated to the video, but do you know if the live shows in the late 90s (such as we're out of here) were all downpicked? It seems non human to downpick at that speed and it doesn't quite sound like it. Its been bugging so I figured I'd ask you since you're knowledgeable.
Yes, the late live shows are all downpicked, but there are a lot less strums. The sort of rapid fire way he strummed in the 70s pretty much went away during the 80s and 90s, excluding when they played more medium tempo songs. I'll be explaining it thoroughly in an upcoming video
Sounds great, I love the fuzzy bite on the edge of the guitars. You can really hear more detail with these remasters.

@@HardlyRamone I'm interested to see that video. I've been obsessed with the downpicking style for a while.
