I feel like I'd love going on holiday with you guys because you get so much out of it but still manage to have fun and times to just chill out. I always feel like I could do so much more on my holidays but don't end up doing them xx
Recently came across your channel, and decided to go through loads of your old videos and came across this one. I am currently living in Plymouh and glad you both had a nice time, so much to do and explore around here. Some of my fav nearby places that are good for a mooch if you come down again are; - Looe (in Cornwall) - Totnes - Dartmouth You can also do boat trips from the Barbican that take you a few places like Cawsand or mount edgecombe (Cremyll) but they also just do ones that show you come of the local areas. They are dog friendly on most if not all. Our fav is the river yealm cruise, but all are nice.
Oh well, a lot of trips start with little complications. 😁😁😁 The Air BNB really is nice!!! The mini golf is so cute!!! ⛳⛳⛳ That is a very pretty marina/harbour area!!! 😍😍😍 What a fun mini holiday! Thank you for taking us along with you!!! Continued love to you, Benji, and Bonnie from across the pond!!! 💜💜💜
Can finally watch you video after a busy few days with hospital appointments . Can't believe you've been to Plymouth when it's so near to where I live x
Loved it, love the vibe in Devon. My husband would really like the cabin, we're going to check it out. Thanks for a fun vlog and Bonnie girl is just the cutest. X
Hi Brogan, I really enjoy watching your vlogs with my partner. As a Plymouth local of 27 years I am so sorry you were recommended rockfish and not one of traditional chip shops. There is SO much to see and do in and around Plymouth. If you go again or if anyone in the comments is going. Here's what I suggest to make the most of Plymouth and beyond: Thee aquarium, which was Europe's biggest tanks for a long time. Lydford is a great village to visit North of Plymouth on Dartmoor, it has a waterfall which is gorgeous, and a really decent dog friendly walk. Plymouth hoe, there isn't anything like it, I would advise parking at the old toys r us which is 10-15 min walk to the hoe with £5 parking all day. Walk from there via Amarda Way up onto the Hoe and you can really appreciate the panoramic views you get once you hit the promenade (long runway on top of the Hoe) The war memorials are some of the biggest in the country. Smeatons tower was never originally on the hoe and was rebuilt and broken several times when actually out in Plymouth Sound. The Terrace cafe has gorgeous views suspended off the fortified rocks of the sound you can enjoy a coffee or a small bite here. The island in the sound is (Sir Francis) Drake's Island. Nothing special about it really but Drake was a bastion historical individual for the city who achieved so many things like world circumnavigation and beating the Spanish Amarda but not before he finished his game of bowls. He was also town mayor and MP. Mt Batten has a fortfied turret, and a restaurant and bar which has veiws of Plymouth hoe, further out into the sound and again across to cornwall. You can get a ferry here from the barbican. Royal William yard was our old naval base, and has been turned into a social place with expensive apartments. Great for evening dining. Theres veiws of the Tamar river, and cornwall. The part of cornwall you see from Royal William yard is Mt Edgcumbe, then it goes around to the interesting peninsula of Rame Head which boasts beautiful quaint villages and beaches like Cremyll, kingsand and Cawsand, whitsand bay. You can get a boat from Royal william yard (Cremyll Ferry). Mt Edgcumbe also has its own ship wreck you can see a mast coming out of the sea but you need to be at a certain beach to see this which isnt technically named. The barbican. The traditional and delicious fish and chips be found at one of the many fish n chip shops on the barbicans main cobbled area. I usually get fish n chips from barbican fish bar on southside street. Plymouth Gin distillery and restaurant is towards the end of this road going towards the city centre. The mayflower steps, where the pilgrims set sail from to land in America, are a ceremonial place really but still a very cool to see. The original steps are actually in the celler of the pub Admiral Macbride. The Barbican is quaint and full of nooks and crannies to explore. There's a miller and Carter with veiws like no other on Sutton harbour. Even a theatre and an old tudor house you can visit. The Box is Plymouths brand new museum, it's exquisite and really helps to visualise Plymouths national importance and historical relevance. Brogan, if you can, please visit Plymouth again. I would love to be yours, Benji & Bonnies personal guide and teach some Janner (Plymouth dialect). You can have an actual pasty (pasties were invented in Plymouth). Great video and thanks for spotlighting Plymouth. Restaurant recommendations: Yukisan (japanese, traditional) Wet Wok (chinese) Maritimo's (tapas) Marco Pierrr Whites Miller and carter Prezzo
Love this! Such a great vlog again Brogan! My mum and I love watching on the tv now we finally got a fire stick 🙌🏼🙌🏼🤩 also we love all the Airbnb places you find 😍
As much as Comic Sans isn't glamorous I think they could've chosen that font as it is very easy to read so all the clearly labelled items, pieces of technology and warnings can be seen by all people who stay as some people may find more 'prettier' fonts difficult to read? I don't know just a thought! I checked it out on air b&b as I thought it looked a great base for me, my boyfriend and our dog to visit but it's practically fully booked the rest of the year 🙈 dam! xx
The owner of that air bnb definitely got a cricut for Christmas. SO MUCH LABELLING! That was like my house when I first got mine. Hahaha. So lovely of them to put in all that extra effort. Looks like a lovely trip.
Wonderful guys. Oh first of all I hope Benji's car gets sorted from the overheating issues. So glad it didn't spoil your trip. LOVE lighthouses!!! I may have mentioned before. lol That one there looked gorgeous, and what a setting. The mini golf course had a replica lighthouse too. I can't wait to play someday again. Some of those holes seemed rather tricky! OMG that mannequin would've startled me as well! lol Your accommodations were pretty cool if not quirky with all the labelling :) Admit to being little concerned over you and Benji getting into a spat over the font especially when you first arrived. Anyway, all good I guess.
I absolutely love your vlogs! They are filled with so much happiness and love. Amazing !! You have a beautiful family and make fantastic information, fun vlog ! :)
Love love love !! Your vlogs brogan . Brighten up my day. We are going to Cornwall in a few weeks for a staycation, can’t wait . We were meant to be going to Florida but have had to put off till may 22 . Keep doing what your doing 💕
Great vlog, U2 are so cute! About the fish place, i think that when a restaurant is offering that many dishes, a single one just can't be so very good. I like the restaurants with a limited dishes, that way the chances are that the single dish would be very well made.
Loved the vlog I didn’t know you were going til I saw the vlog, I lived there for 6 years I would have recommended cpt Jaspers used to be a small burger van the best burgers ever ,
Benji and the lemon sole made me laugh. There is also one called Dover Sole but it’s not exclusive to Dover 🤣. We went down to Salcombe and Dartmouth in June - absolutely lovely places to visit
Wow, they certainly like their labelling 😂. It looked great. But personally dark grey as a colour just makes my spirits slump, and I find it depressing. Obviously it’s a practical and neutral colour. Loved all the little extras and nice touches. Bonnie was so excited bless her❣️really enjoyed watching this.
Have a look into Woolacombe/Ilfracombe/Croyde/Saunton in North Devon! Personally I think the North coast has the most beautiful beaches in Devon! I may be biased because it’s where I live but… it’s true! 😆
Just FYI if you were to go North you’d probably want to stay in Woolacombe and visit the other places while you’re there, they’re all within about 10-20 minutes of Woolacombe
Comic Sans is a universal font. And is easiest to read for those with sight issues and dyslexia. So whilst it might not fit your aesthetic it’s being used for a reason
Yes that’s fair enough Mary, most places don’t have writing on walls though. I understand in handbooks etc, but I am allowed to personally not like something if it ruins the aesthetic (in my opinion), but it was more just a light-heart joke about the overuse of the font everywhere
@@brogantatexo you actually said the font itself offended you - sorry I’m not quoting you verbatim as I don’t have time to rewatch. I’m merely saying I imagine the reason that comic sans was used is for the above mentioned reasons.
It’s just a joke Mary, I’m obviously not offended by a font, it’s just not my taste but thanks for pointing that out. It might also be the owners favourite font, who knows
Yes all good thank you Natalie! Had a bit of a snotty nose/cold (should clarify I have done lateral flow tests daily for a week and all negative) but much better today! xx
Another good one, hope benji got his car sorted what a pain, i have to agree slightly with the decor of the b&b but at least it was welcoming and clean, i could tell you a horror story of a self cattering property i stayed at in july, lets just say i am still fuming from the disgusting experience, and how people can take your money then not even offer any compensation is beyond me, what i shame i didnt get to leave a review, it would have been worth a reed, enjoyed coming along as allways, you do the best travel video'sxxx
You picked some lovely places to visit here in Plymouth! If you come back down, Mountbatten is literally 2 minutes away from Bovi! Its on the other side of the beach around the coast :)
Hey sweets 🤗 I’m glad you enjoyed your staycation - I really like the styling of the place and yes they were really generous and thoughtful. And I also don’t mind the use of Comic Sans font 🤣 have a fab rest of the week 🥰 xxx
40 minute train journey ahead of me, and you drop a 38 min vlog. You star! I love Plymouth, I went and looked at their uni a while ago (10 years, I’m getting old! 😫). Great place for a few days away! x
I visited Plymouth on Tuesday 7th September for the first time as part of a tour from Northern Ireland. Really enjoyed The Barbican and a sightseeing cruise. Shame I missed you x
I live near plymouth and went to plymouth uni, wish I’d seen you here, your Florida vlogs are amazing and rewatched them all through lockdown last year x
Love watching your videos this one I really enjoyed love seeing you going out and about seeing different places makes me wish we could but glad I get to see places you visit it looks so lovely xx
Just arrived from my trip to Plymouth and i was excited to watch the vlog just to see what you guys got up too. Pretty much went to the same places, I was eyeing up Tea and Bun for maybe some takeaway lunch but they were closed ( kind of a blessing because we ended up having the BEST fish and chips I've ever had in a tiny restaurant on the way down to the Barbican). Definitely need to go back just for more than just a day! Loved the vlog :)
Glad you had a fab time 💗 I love being a Plymothian! It’s a gateway to Cornwall which is stunning as well if you can get another break in this way at some point xx
Absolutely love your vlogs Brogan! Bonnie is such a cutie bless her! I’ve recently started vlogging myself! Good luck for the Blogosphere awards tomorrow! X

“I agree. I just wouldn’t have comic sans.”

Why don't you insure Benji on your car as well, you can do it for a few days with certain companies.
We considered it but it was 5pm on a Friday so we didn’t get the chance. Benji is a bit too big/tall for my car too x
Primary school teacher here! I can assure you we don’t use comic sans 🤢❤️❤️❤️
