I worked on this building many times in my 30 year career as a member of the taper union local 507 San Jose. There's a hatch half way up the spire, only accessible with an extension ladder from the outside. I watched a guy do this and it made MY legs shake. Lol love the city. Shout out to San Jose and Morgan Hill....home
This was the first building I visited in San Francisco way back in 1991. I was 19, and it was my first time to America, and I fell in love with the USA. The observation deck was epic.
I am glad you enjoyed your visit to America. You were lucky because the security on that building would not allow you into the observation deck. The City is very different now with about a million new buildings. But i9t is still beautiful here
Good idea. I am in the middle of several other things concerning San Francisco so it might be a while. Be sure to check out my channel ruclips.net/channel/UCxebuh52sVlA6xbUcQTx8AQvideos. There are many other videos you will enjoy. Don't forget to subscribe.
Just have always wanted to cler this up if I may in regards the building, on the ouside of it, those slanted concrete portions that are on Both sides of th building, are those actually for the Elevators for the building, or what are those there for actually????
@@SFTourGuide hope that thios doesn't sound like a stupid question, but there actually are MORE elevators that take people from the ground floor of the transamerica building Up to where those slanted portions are located right????
Incredible work! Question Holden, did you shoot all of this footage yourself? Working on a project that we need Transamerica Pyramid footage for. Would love to discuss more if you did. Thank you!
Yes, I did shoot everything you see in the video. I would love to help you with your project. You can reach me at holden@powerverbs.com. Be sure to check out and subscribe to the RUclips channel at ruclips.net/channel/UCxebuh52sVlA6xbUcQTx8AQ. Thanks for the compliment!
Wow, feeling that way is quite a burden to carry round, especially since no one in SFO cares. Leave all that negativity behind and you'll find there is a lot of happiness in San Francisco. Come visit and find out.
bro turns the music down, talks quietly so you have to turn it up, and then he blasts the music again
I am sorry that it worked that way for you. Still, I hope you enjoyed the information and the views.
Hahahah thanks for the heads up, this music sounds like porn music, there’s some thing said about that
@@Piscatorialveteran I hope it got you excited!

Herb Caen sure had trouble accepting this new-fangled building.😉
Yes, but the building is still a SFO icon and we know where Herb Caen is.
Good interesting video, thank you

You are right, they are for the elevators. If you like SF, then check out the channel. Lots to see and learn there.

You should try to get them to let you go to the observation deck.
