Was confirmed that Cold was stronger than an enhanced Frieza who was even stronger than on Namek in what I believe was his second form. If he wasn't stronger than his son, then he most likely would've been overthrown a long time before the Namek Saga

I love your little theory on how King Cold is in form 1 just older, imagine how his 2nd form must be MASSIVE with gigantic horns. Worse yet imagine how terrifying his forms 3 and 4 are...
Now that would Be Action Nightmare for Prince Vegeta of Sadness! Since Vegeta was rather saddened by his father`s death, but did`nt know how to show it as a kid! Because his father never taught him that skill! All children know how to hurt, but need to be taught kindness! Without that skill, we would get a whole universe full Frieza`s or King Colds even coolers! Even Lord Beerus could`nt down play the coronavirus by the way! He would need to use the dragon balls to wish it away!
I always thought that Cold was just buff insane first form. Like he never learned about Forms. because he didn't need to. Which is why Freeza becomes his heir, even though hes a garbage ruler. I think Cooler only has one. But only because he is hard working and probably trained like a maniac.
Freeza was super gifted at battle transformation, and so even though he didn't train... it was more that he didn't train with a master and did these fucked up transformations by watching transformative species. Its why Zarbon a transformer was his number 1 guy even though he sucked. It was why he had Dodorio around. Its why he's sucking up to people like Ginyu with mind opowers. Its even why he let a few Saiyans live. He stole their techniques without any discipline or focus. And doesn't responsibily use his powers.
That is why second form cooler is awesome. And Second Form Frost is his last form. Because Freeza was a crazy little mutant freak.
@ELIZABETH LEE Well, Frieza's transformations are more about controlling his natural powers. He conceals a certain amount of it in each form. In other words, he has forms to suppress his energy.
I would say Cooler's transformation isn't his natural form, but a truly evolved verion. I imagine Cold is a little of both, and thst his sons inherited these traits, and expand upon them.
King Cold always did felt like a wasted potential. It's sad we never did see him fight. He looks like he's already transformed into 1st Form because he looks exactly tall and buffed like Frieza did after his first transformation.
He had a purpose. It was to introduce trunks like raditz was to introduce Vegeta.

I think Toriyama didn't think about King Cold's transformation state at all, and just kind off created him for no particular reason
If that is true, perhaps King Cold was an experiment to see what Frieza`s 2nd transformation could look like if he put the concept into action! From an artist`s point of view, it some times is important for good ideas to be seen in an experimental drawing to make sure it fits in nicely with what type of theme he was going for sort of like a test run to see how scary the form could be!
There should have been a Cooler Saga instead of a movie. Maybe set it 1 year after the Cell games and have Cooler's power level much higher than what it was in the movie. In the arc we could have him come to Earth seeking revenge like in the movie but with Goku dead he decides to take out Goku's next of kin and take his time destroying earth, this leads to Gohan being the one to defeat Cooler.

I've been feeling for a while that Cooler could be a filler arc between Freeza and Cell but make it so that Goku loses because he can't control the Super Saiyan state and Vegeta is the one that turns Super Saiyan and kills Cooler. Thoughts?
I'd say King Cold is probably in the 2nd form because the horns are bent.

Well, if we count Chilled that‘s not really an indicator since his horns are curved in his 1st Form too.
The only reason I don’t think cold has more forms is because the main argument that he is in a surpressed form is because he didn’t know who trunks was and didn’t sweat him, but we know that goku still defeated cold and frieza in the future timeline
We don't know that. The frieza race are able to customize their appearance n any form. So that could be a first or the could be his final form we may never know
I always imagined King Cold used his second form because it was larger and more imposing (because you know, he's the king) but if he could change forms like Frieza and Cooler then it would have made sense he would do that after seeing Trunks destroy Mecha-Frieza (although it could be argued he didn't have the chance to transform before being blown up). It's one of those mysteries I guess. It might be something that they grow into though like the video mentioned.
But I think that Chilled didn't have transformations since from what I've read of the lore Frieza's race can't all transform, only some can so I would guess that in Chilled's time that mutation to transform hadn't come about yet.
All I know is that Cooler is Cooler.

Cooler's Revenge takes place after Trunks warned Goku & Z-Fighters - during this time Goku & Friends Trained in Preparation for the upcoming battle against the Androids ."This Time Period" is when Cooler came.
This makes sense because then Kakkarot got his "Zenkai" boost after being healed on Yardrat ... In addition, training from Yardrat. That Zenkai boost made him significantly stronger - therefore the Kakkarot was stronger when he battled Cooler compare to Frieza.
I could double check just in case - Cooler is much stronger than Frieza Final Form (not referring to Golden Form)

you forgot that cooler nearly killed Goku but he used a sensu bean and since he was hurt his power shot up extraordinarily thus making it so he could beat cooler the way he did

Goku probably also got a power up after the fight with frieza as well, as he took plenty of damage in that fight ( the longest fight of all of anime, there's no way he wouldn't get a boost after that)
Yeah. It took ONE casual attack from Cooler to nearly kill Goku, and the zenkai boost he got after that helped to even the odds a bit. Plus Goku's training on Yardrat and however much training he'd done by that point in the three year gap before the Androids.

I dont believe King Cold is stronger than Frieza, nor do i believe your assessment of King Colds personality is very accurate. My reasoning is simple:
1) Frieza often claims to be the most powerful in the universe, and is known as such by many alien species, even King Kai says it at one point i believe. They never say "except King Cold"
2) When Trunks defeats Frieza, King Cold doesn't say "he was weak anyway" or immediately power up to fight Trunks. He is afraid and tries to steal Trunks sword and use it against him, thinking it was the source of Trunks power. This suggests that after seeing Frieza killed, he knew he would be outmatched and was looking for an advantage, and his lack of transformation suggests that Form 2 (or possibly older Form 1) is his highest form, and his sons were able to surpass him both in power and transformative abilities.
baval5 Except "final" form is their *original* form. They only have other forms to be *less* powerful, and control their power.

Oszy Cooler isn't a cannon character. The specs of Freeza's species aren't entirely known, but it's possible Freeza's final form is an abnormality.
baval5 Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't it stated that the z fighters felt frieza's power and one that was even more powerful? By that I would assume that frieza is far weaker than cold. I would also assume that cold is able to grow stronger than him even if he doesn't know of the transformations. Tho judging from newer materials I would also assume that even at this time cold knew that he would be surpassed at some time. We don't know much of cold, but it looks like frieza was leaps beyond his far and brother in terms of training.
Something that also supports this idea is that frieza shows a high level of respect to his father. Nearly the same that he showed bills.
Cooler in his final form was confirmed by Goku to be stronger than 100% Frieza even if Goku went ssj against cooler on Namek he would still lose
Something I noticed is when Frieza went 100% he gained a huge increase in muscle mass whereas Cooler's muscles on his final form don't seem too extreme given his size, possibly meaning that just like his father, he never went full power.

+samiamtheman 73 As explained when trunks fought Cell (ironic because of Cameron's profile picture) in his Super Trunks form, when you go into a form that increases your size. gain a lot of brute strength, but the muscle mass the body gains makes you slower. For someone with incredible speed, this is a huge disadvantage. This could have been the case with Frieza's final form 100%, which is why Cooler may have stayed away from that form. Forms like that also show a lack of control over your own power, so maybe Cooler could just better control his power, giving him his 2nd form.

Good video. Frieza and Cooler were my favorite Dragon Ball Z villains and I found this pretty interesting to learn about.

I like the idea that Cooler is weaker than Freiza unless he uses his ultimate form. It makes sense story wise since Freiza never trained but Cooler wouldn't have been able to accept his brother being stronger than him, so he actually worked hard and that's why he has that extra transformation.
According to multiple DB games and Toriyama himself, Freiza and Cold were born as Mutants of their race who were far more powerful at their birth than 99.9% of their race would ever be in multiple lifetimes. Cooler however was not born with this mutation and had to train heavily to get to the point he was at which is why he doesn't have regression forms like Freiza does as he never had any uncontrollable power from birth. Cooler was likely born about as strong as an Elite Saiyan or maybe as strong as a member of the Ginyu Force and just worked his way up from there.
Since Freiza's race reproduces asexually that means their children are genetic clones meaning if King Cold is a mutant than Cooler would also be a mutant and while not exactly canon DBS Heroes fixes Toriyama's mistake and shows that Cooler has just as much if not MORE potential than Frieza what with him being able to access the Golden form instantly without training AND stacking it on top of his Augmented form AND not experiencing any stamina issues like Frieza did

But Frieza is a much more in depth character who has more character development and is the best villain in dragonball in general, better than king piccolo, better than mercenary tao, better than the red ribbon army, better than the androids, better than cell (well he's an android but still), better than buu, etc etc
Cooler is one of the top movie villains though, him and Broly.

That was in the Ocean dub back in the day! And yes that was Akira Toriyama`s team`s fault! They made a mistake just like the time someone colored the hair red once! Now that was the foundational mistake that gave inspiration for Super Saiyan god`s hair coloring!

Freeza, Cooler and Cold all want the dragonballs to give themselves (and only themselves) immortality.
Vegeta want's the same, or at least to prevent any of the above from doing so.
The Z-fighter's comprise the last faction in play here.
Vegeta would know Freeza, Cooler and Cold are coming [or already there] (he detected the Ginyu's after all) and either attempt to play them off each other or immediately ally with the Z-fighters, planning to betray them and use his immortality to annihlate the cold clan.
Presuming that King Cold isn't vastly more powerful then his sons (not a very safe assumption I admit) then it becomes a game of politics between them, with the Z-Fighters/Vegeta as the only outside faction.
Given the personality's involved, King Cold is likely to hold the upper hand. While Cooler has better elite forces (despite Freeza likely Immediately calling the Ginyu force) and Cold has a larger force of weak minions, Cold's practicality and calm puts him at advantage. If Freeza arrives in a village, he'll kill people until he gets the dragon ball or directions, then kill the rest. Cooler likely kills someone to demonstrate his power, then demands it. Cold likely offers safe passage on condition of the ball/information. (he rules an empire, he might as well be polite with them about this so they don't become a bother.)
All sides rapidly snap up and conceal some of the dragon balls, but only the Z-Fighter's have the cooperation of the natives (if not necessarily Dende) because they're the only really non hostile force. In addition they have the Dragon Radar to discern the location of the balls, giving them a priceless Intel advantage.
An all out civil war between Freeza's forces, Cooler's forces and Cold's forces ensues on Namek, which might well provide enough chaos for Vegeta and the Z-fighter's to assemble the dragon balls and use them. Assuming that Vegeta can't pull off his betrayal plan, Piccolo is brought back to life, bringing the Earth set back into the equation. Everyone except the Cold clan's forces is moved via dragon balls to earth.
This gives them time to rally and the civil war to play out. Assuming the three discover they've been suckered, it's likely all three of them race towards earth, none being willing to unite while immortality is still on the table. Earth has the travel time in order to prepare to fight the coming three part invasion.
The only chance of victory they have is the Hyperbolic Time Chamber. Provided that Vegeta can convince them they need his strength to win, the most advantageous strategy would be: Gather all the most powerful Namekian warriors together, including Kami and fuse them with Piccolo. At the same time, send Goku and Vegeta into the HTC for as long as possible. (Their mutual rivalry would push them both brutally) While they use the chamber, dispatch (if possible) Krillin, Gohan and Piccolo to train with king Kai (mostly for the Kioken technique really) then run them through the HTC (Krillin might go in with one of the other earth fighters, since Gohan would likely prefer Picoolo to Krillin for his more intense training.)
Assuming it takes more then a week for Cold, Freeza and Cooler to arrive (likely they go to rally their chunks of the empire to back them up before rushing there after all.) earth has vastly more powerful defenders to face them with. The three standouts being Piccolo (all that fusion + HTC use) and the two Saiyans (biology, rivalry and HTC use are a potent combination) with Gohan and Krillin being the best second line fighters and the rest of earth's forces being best used to deal with the mooks.
Assuming that Freeza rushes in without backup, (as his personality suggests) he arrives first and likely dies very quickly as Piccolo doesn't screw around. This death likely convinces Cooler to be sure he has enough backup before going. King Cold, the one with the most forces to rally and the most motivation to get revenge, ends up getting there last.
Provided Cooler isn't killed, he likely ditches the idea of going it alone and ally's with his father. Cooler and Cold arrive with all the force they can muster and a large scale (really, really large, one bigger then Bardock's rebellion) battle ensues. The problem is, with two sets of dragon balls, even if the three strongest fighters are killed individually (given their personality's it's possible to do this.) they simply show right back up, fully healed. With the less powerful fighters eliminating the weaker forces, Cooler and Cold likely eventually lose. The damage to the earth is likely immense as even if it was fought in orbit, everyone's throwing around world killing levels of power casually.
So yeah... nasty situation but salvageable. The most dangerous stage would be the possibility that all three of the cold clan work together initially rather then try to get the balls independently. Their speed advantage might mean someone (likely Cold) gets immortality before Vegeta/Z-fighters intervene.
It would be 3 vs 1 against SSJ Goku. It would be dope AF.

Here is an idea, what if the Lord Slug saga happened on planet Namek before Frieza`s men landed on Namek and the Z-Fighters were asked by King Kai to go to Namek to free Piccolo`s race, but then learns that Frieza is there! King Kai then changes his mind and tries to convince Goku to not go near Frieza or his family!
After Lord Slug is defeated, Goku fights Frieza and at the end, Frieza is dead! King Cold comes to earth with Cooler back for revenge against Goku! Later on during the training period before the Cell Games, Goku and Vegeta go to New Namek and they encounter Metal Cooler from Return of Cooler movie on New Namek the 2 learn to work together and together they defeat Metal Cooler before coming home with Dende` to become the new guardian of Earth! A scenario like that would definitely fit into the lore much better that way in my opinion! But again that is only my theoretical opinion. So to speak politely, thank you very much for the inspiration!

King Cold was already warned of the legenday Super Saiyan, the main reason he travels to earth is for the wait of Goku seeking Frieza's revenge.
Trunks tells them he's a Super Saiyan such as Goku and even if King Cold presumes this is a bluff, he transforms, makes Frieza flinch staring at him, resists 3 attemps of murder including the Death Ball lifted over his head and takes reprisal with his Burning Attack before chopping Frieza.

Cooler probably held back like Freeza did, used about 50% of his true form and decided just go 100% Ultra form or whatever to end it. Instead of "you are beating me up, just to let you know I am using 50%", because it's a movie, it just jump straight to Ultra form.

Just look at the Radditz fight. They're around 350-400 and Radditz is around 1.2k so only 3x their power and he obliterates them in 1v1s.
Now Freezer comes along with 530k and over a million aaaaand has a hard time fighting Vegeta, Gohan and Krillin? With probably 5-20x the powerlevel of his enemies? Makes no sense what so ever.
The relations NEVER work out. The statements about the power level are often vague or even incorrect and in the end its a huge mess.

I didn't. A Zenkai boost is no 10x power boost or anything that powerful. If it would be, why would they train? They KNOW how Zenkais work. Just take a bag of Senzus, hit your self 10x and suddenly be 10'000'000'000 times stronger - because exponentials!
Even pre-namek Goku would have a power level of ~3'500k BILLION if he did that. So Zenkai wouldnt push Vegeta from like 50-80k to a few hundred thousand.
I mean the Namek fusion is already bullshit enough, that someone with ~20k + 40k = over 1 million.
But when Freeza suddenly goes 2mil, so not even 2x as strong as Piccolo aka less difference between Freeza and Piccolo than Freeza vs rest had, and suddenly he get's completly overwhelmed again.
I mean Akria let's Vegeta say it mutliple times: The power levels are bullshit and the scouters are useless against people that control their Ki, who can jump from 5 to a few millions in a millisecond. That's why i also never understood the ferocity of the community behind it. In the end the numbers aren't even important anymore and there wasn't a single powerlevel shown in the manga before or after the Sayian/Namek Arcs.

markhenry Cell 1 would absorb a lot of the people on namek for nutrition and power increase, rather the namekians or Z fighters would stand a chance is debatable. Cell 2 simply realizes that the objective he seeks (The Androids) aren't there and just blow up the planet, Cell Final would go searching for a worthy opponent to test his power, beat off half the population ( Z fighters included) get bored, and then blow up the planet.

And Realistically Freiza should've won anyway, he already had the dragon balls so all he had to do was just leave and blow up Namek and Gohan, Krillian, Vegeta, Piccolo, and all of the Namekians would've been dead, Goku would've arrived to what was left of Namek, and Freiza would've been long gone and immortal at that point.
Instead he stayed giving Vageta the chance to steal them thus dragging out the fight even more, and giving Goku the time to show up and realize his full potential.

I greatly disagree in how weak you're making out Cooler to be. I just think that the movie was very inconsistent as to Goku's power level. Either way, Goku, at this point, is obviously *FAR* stronger than the Goku that fought Frieza. I don't think that 470m is wrong for Cooler's power level.
My reason for thinking this is simple. Look at how high over Frieza's league SSJ Future Trunks was. That same Future Trunks couldn't even scratch Goku's finger with his sword when actually trying. Goku would have decimated Mecha-Frieza *and* King Cold.
The only thing I see as counterargument for this is that Goku seemed to have to get pretty angry to go SSJ, but that's probably just another movie inconsistency or else. Either way, even if it's not after the time spent in Yardray and shit, he would *at least* get a zenkai from after fighting Frieza, which would definitely allow him to dominate Frieza like that next time.
I think the movie wasn't written the best that it could have been, still. Maybe it was because of time constraints, so they couldn't make Cooler fight more evenly (which if it was a canon anime arc would have likely been the case) and needed Goku to take him out quickly with a single real struggle (Cooler's Supernova nearly killing Goku).
He is not weak! One fighter who is weak defeats a stronger opponent becomes stronger that is how Goku defeated King Piccolo by fighting stronger opponents and winning with creative strategy and calculating a new skill that would counter the stronger villain`s skills, add that to the ability to survive the worst attack, and heal up! That is how a Zenkai Boost actually works! It makes sense because it started with training and multipliers, then overcoming stronger obstacles or opponents stronger than you and you get stronger faster! Death & Resurrection only became a concept at end of King Piccolo saga! Dying, training and then resurrection first became an idea in DBZ season 1 when the story had no other way to go in order to add on to the Dragon Ball storyline! Raditz was the reason why the saiyan saga occured! Without him, Vegeta and Nappa would not have known about the Dragon balls on earth! They would not care to go to planet earth! Here is another idea I am not sure if anyone thought of it yet. "What If Vegeta and Nappa finished their mission on Shikk then discovered planet Tech-tek and decided to land there only to find out that Vegeta had a saiyan brother himself deciding to recruit him by order? Do you think it would have been a nice stand in for the saiyan saga? Then The Crane School could take their revenge before the next tournament!
So a way that I think that what makes the most sense is that goku had a zenkai after the freeza saga, placing his power around 10,000,000 which is why Cooler has such hard time against him, he gets destroyed when he turns ssj because Goku's power level would be about 500,000,00 which would make the guides make pretty decent sense.

it all comes down to this. if everyone is wiped out by the time goku appears on namek, would he IMMEDIATELY turn super saiyan as a result and would that be enough? goku's super saiyan trigger was pain of loss so that would still be there, but only be greater than it was when just krillin died. The other requirement of super saiyan though was it seemed a certain minimum power level threshhold was needed. And remember, Goku got ONE powerup after he arrived due to his injuries sustained from the Captain Ginyu fight.
That is very much true enough! Take that away and he would be weaker still! That makes much sense! But it cannot be self injuries! It has to be from fighting someone else stronger than him!

Anyone remember Solid State Scouter? That was Bardock`s theme song from Bardock: The Father of Goku movie! Imagine that song given add on to it making it into a real song with real lyrics and numbering beeps! That would change it`s confusion quickly! Also I can see why Rock the Dragon was terrible! It was just too short with repeated lyrics non-stop! There were no other lyrics to it! Yet if they added it to Mysterious Adventure (A.K.A.: Makafushigi Adventure!), it would have been great for the Dragon Ball Z series then! Nothing against Head-cha-la which was great by the way! It just would have been more consistent with the Dragon Ball style both serious and lighthearted at the same time!

Cooler's Revenge is blatently filler but it takes place when they are training for the androids I assume, just like broly was leading up to the cell games.
Goku has become an expert super saiyan by that point, as in he hasn't mastered it which he did in the hyperbolic time chamber but he was stronger than he was even when he casualed super saiyan trunks.
Goku during the movie > goku who pretty much casualed trunks in super saiyan > Mecha Frieza > Super Saiyan Goku on namek = 100% Frieza which he couldn't hold > Frieza on namek without 100%
So yeah, Goku would beat frieza no problem then.
Frieza is stronger than goku now though since he's trained.
Super Saiyan isn't a set power level, and there are masters of all the forms.

Despite the discrepancy of having Gohan represented as both younger AND with a Tail, I'm certain that Goku still had his time on Yardrat.
The reason why would be is because unlike previous movies, this one can easily fit-in during the 3-year training period in preparation for the Androids. Things can be easily explained - like Piccolo's absence; Goku probably either felt they needed a break from training, and wanted to spend quality time with Gohan and friends - OR this was before the extensive training session began, and Goku wanted to be with Gohan regardless.
Gohan's haircut "relapse" could be explained by Chi-Chi thinking the haircut was cute. And...Random Tail-Growth is Random.
The main reason I believe he STILL had his time on Yardrat mostly comes from the movie's Sequel; Return of Cooler - which would ultimately HAVE to be IN-Canon with THIS movie. When Goku fights Meta-Cooler, he managed to dodge an attack using "Instant Transmission". - It's the famous line where Cooler reveals that Instant Transmission is one of his favorite techniques.
Also, I doubt that Goku was using xs20 Kaioken. Despite being able to handle it, the technique still puts an extensive strain on Goku's body. Using it against Frieza almost ruined him, and was only meant as a last resort. However, while fighting Cooler, he doesn't seem to show any fatigue. It could easily mean that ANY form of Kaioken was used against Cooler.
This is a nice video, Mike! Sure, it may be a few years old, but eh, I don't mind watching it now. Although, I always believed the first Cooler movie happened during the three years Goku and company spent preparing for when Android 19 and 20 (Dr. Gero) would attack. That's just me, though. I agree with your conclusion on the fight man. Freeza in the DBS series was saying that exact thing. He was telling Goku that he would now go full power from the start instead of messing around.

Shin Akumaforu Goku was MUCH stronger than he fought cooler than when he fought Frieza, heck the moment he even got back to earth he weas lightyears stronger than he was when he first turned super saiyan. He had that last form because reasons, in reality frieza's 1-3 forms is him reverting his power because his base (4) is too powerful.

Jenry Vargas Cooler doesn't need to be canon and if power levels didn't matter then they wouldn't have been introduced or match up so well in the section of the series where they're used.
Laughingstock Media He's using Deathbattle's out of context interpretation of Power Levels, what the series was trying to show was that the Z warriors (Goku and his friends) can suppress and increase their power at will, which is a technique very rare in the Dragon Ball universe outside of Earth. So the scouters were made and used on beings that did not increase or suppress their power levels at will. Power levels themselves are not "A joke" or "Meaningless" they simply cannot be measured accurately by scouters when the target it's being used on is suppressing it's power.
To reiterate, if you used a scouter or measure the power level of Frieza, you would get an accurate power due to Frieza not knowing how to suppress or increase his power without transformations. While using it on Goku won't yield any accurate results from an initial measurement, you'd have to wait for him to go all out in order to get anything accurate.
Failcard While you are correct that it is a rare ability, Frieza actually does know how to control and increase his power level without transformation, at least in his final form where he starts out at an unspecified fraction then later ups himself to 50% and eventually max power. So using a scouter on him during the beginning of that fight would have likewise probably yielded a similarly false result (assuming any scouter exists that could even measure his power without exploding).
Emeral Bookwise Frieza did not know how to suppress his power like Goku did, or he wasn't using it for the same concept. Goku suppressed his power to conceal his full ability, while Frieza did not use 100% of his final form because he didn't want to immediately kill Goku, he wanted to toy with him.
It's not that Frieza was actively suppressing his power level, he simply wasn't exerting his max energy.
Typically when encountering Frieza you'd meet him in his first form anyways, but this was just an example, if you're going to sperg out again we'll just change it from Frieza to Captain Ginyu.

Regardless, Frieza was definitely suppressing his power seeing as he actually had to take time to raise his power up each time he raised it, pretty much the same as we often see the Z-fighters do. Ginyu also seemed to imply that he could do so himself during his fight with Goku (or at least he did in the dub). Whether he actually could or not, the point would still stand that he seemed unsurprised with Goku's ability to do so. Overall while the ability certainly seems rare outside of Earth it doesn't seem to be entirely unheard of either.
this channel reminds me of both why I love and loathe DBZ. They didn't struggle to make sense of anything but they made everything interesting. I think we need an entire revamp. Just like the Batman movies someone should come in and chop it all down to logical power levels and make the legends legendary.

The movie does fit in. It fits in the 3 years time between trunks going back to his timeline and when the Android appear
