  • This time, we interviewed Kaz-san, who owns seven Old Triumphs.
He is so famous that people say, "When it comes to Old Triumphs, it's Kaz-san." However, his private life is a bit of a mystery, and it was difficult to contact him directly, so for this shoot, we went into an event where Kaz-san is likely to appear and took photos.
We asked him to talk about his passion for Triumphs and the various events he attends throughout Japan, including the "At One Sweep" bikers' camp event held at Forest Sons Nagatoro in April 2023 and the "Ghost Run 5th" held in Fukushima Prefecture in August 2023, while interacting with various people. He also talked about his passion for Triumph.
He also talked about his passion for Triumph and how he goes out on Triumphs and interacts with people at various events throughout Japan, such as "Ghost Run 5th.
If you have never been to Triumph Riot, please check it out!
    Outline of Triumph Riot 10th
    Date:.
    March 30 - 31, 2024

So nice to see bikes being used and not hidden away in collectors garages. Here in the UK you rarely see an old Triumph on the road. Keep up the good work, and thank you for the subtitles.

Like his style, Kaz-san. Very cool and some lovely Triumphs. Neither he, nor his fellow riders, wear any protective gear - which I find interesting. I guess (as someone else posted below) it's partly because Japanese drivers are considerate, and the roads in good condition.

I agree with Mr Triumph Riot Kaz-San. A well maintained bike will run and run. I did a 3,200 km ride on my 67 Daytona in 2021 to The Burt. Carried full camping kit. You can't ride at 100kms an hour all day, you take it easy and you really really enjoy the scenery! 4,000 rpm

In the early days of Japan's gamble racing (auto-race) Triumphs were one of the preferred bikes. The top riders made serious money in those days and there was even an expert American Triumph tuner building engines for them. Of course, they learned to build very fast engines themselves also. Meguro even made a Triumph copy which looks exactly like the original engine. These days the gamble racers are using modern engines, so many of those old Triumph/Meguro engines have found their way into the vintage bike scene, along with tuning knowledge developed by the gamble racers. My 750 street tracker has a center-plug head from one of the old gamble racers, along with a few other trick bits..... Thing hauls ass!

Such a great video!! As a historian I appreciate the Japanese love for nostalgia. I live in the US and own and 2020 Triumph T120 Bonneville. I wonder if Kaz-san had ridden any of Triumph's line-up of modern classics. I've been riding for more than 35 years and I can objectively say that my Bonnie is far and away the best bike I've ever owned in terms of versatility and price.
Kaz-san also mentioned breaking down on his old Harley which is not surprising but Harleys new line up of Softails have come a long way in terms of reliability, power and handling just like the new modern Triumphs. I would encourage Kaz-san to at least think of adding a new Triumph to his stable of old bikes. Even a T-100 would be a great addition!!
