      Hey Shris! It's best to use the address you're currently residing at, if you'll be there until graduation! If you're planning to move back to Nepal before you graduate, use your Nepal address. The address on file is the one that your diploma will be sent to 💜

      lowercase characters (a-z),

    Is this university accredited as an institution of formal education? Can the degree awarded be validated in countries like Colombia?

      Hi Engvic, please note that universities are typically accredited in the countries where they are established and accepted by convention is many other countries. Since we are established in the US, we are only accredited in the US. Please feel free to reach out to the ministry of education in your country regarding the acceptability of US accredited degrees in your country. You will also be able to request that our registrar notarizes your degree and transcript for you here in the US when you graduate from our program, before we mail your degree and transcript to your house address. Please visit the US department of education's website at ed.gov and click 'college accreditation'. When the new page loads, click 'look up a school', then type 'University of the People' into the search box that comes up and search to confirm our accreditation status.

    How much money should I have to finish degree program

      Hi Embosh, the estimated total cost of our Bachelors program (including the application fee) is $4,860. Keep in mind that we'll not ask you to pay the entire amount at once, you will only pay $240 at the end of each term if you take 2 courses per term. A term lasts for 9 weeks.

    I'm married and had my IDs updated with my married last name. However, my transcript from the last school I attended is in my maiden name. Please advise if I can still use my maiden name. i may have issues if I have to submit an ID in the portal.

Then, when you're uploading your documents (shortly after you've been admitted and you save your spot), please include a copy of your change of name document as well as part of the uploads -- that will clarify the name discrepancy with our office of admissions.
