The best teacher, I have ever seen. Thanks a lot and keep it up
I bless the day I came across this video. You just taught me a few things on syllables as well.
I'm an English teacher. I've been working for the Rio de Janeiro Board of Education for 13 years. I follow the instructions suggested by the Board in orde to teach 3rd grade High School students at the first bimester about Resumé, and Curriculum Vitae. I assign to them both for being translated, and main parts of them when applying for a job. I'm going to show them, around 45 students your vídeo. Great class! I wish the best for you,. Canadians. We are now homeschooling, and your class helps a lot. Thanks a lot, and a big hug.
It took lots of words from Arabic too. Thank you ..good and clear
Very clear and attractive lesson. Thanks a lot!
U have focused on American/Canadian pronunciation of "resume" (document).
Nice explanations, I'm delighted.
Hi! It is a very useful lesson for me because I teach my students how to make a Resume, called CV in Morocco, to apply for a job. Regarding your homework question, I should say, it's unuseful to embellish things on your CV because the recruiter will find it out during the interview with you.
God bless you!
Hi there, where are you originally from?
wow,god bless,u just relieved me from a dilemma
Thank you sir
Great lesson
Thanks so much! 😃
Nice video.....! Thank you >>
Sir tell me that what is the scene of British English and American English...
You need to long press the "e" button and select "é"👍🏻
really i have never do that , but some people likes embellishment . or to lia over laying .
That's great!
A french word. A different kind of english pronunciation, meanings completely different in both languages. That's really mad english! Dieu sauve la reine.
Haha, yes! 😄
I don't know how to pronounce it , Mark.
🙏🙏👍👍🌹🌺
I have embellished a little, I think it's necessary sometimes. imagine you want to go for an interview, you should dress up better than another time. I think a resume should be interesting but not lie.
Sir ,u forgot to mention sanskrit language when u said stolen English words
Your explanation is so good. I think I won't ever forget the word 'embellished' and pronunciation learnt in this 9 min video. 😍 I was searching for the correct pronunciation for the verb and the noun form of the word 'resume'. Thank you so much. You are an excellent teacher ❤️ keep it up 👍
Sometimes I´ve embellished in my resume , it´s necessary when you need to get the job but never is good to lie
Haha, yes, I have embellished a thing or two. I used the term "a good team player", although I also most productive and efficient when I work on my own.
Another thing that makes me sort of "polish" my resume a little bit is the fact that I have a diploma in psychology, not in accounting, so I usually write something like psychology/economy/social skills in my CV. It has worked well so far. Hehe
Haha, that's awesome!
Wow I can understand almost all, I’m learning English rn and I think you are the best teacher.. Thanks 😘😘
👍
Fast forward video at 1.5x plzzz
Thank me later
Finally 😎 I catched the idea 💡 how to pronounce Resume.
Thanks for your lessons! I'm not an english speaker, because here in Venezuela we speak spanish, but I understood everything you said, and I must to thanks because you gave me a good explanation about this word "resume". You're very kind to doing so and an excellent teacher!
They even stole from Hindi and Sanskrit language of India
I’m in a stage of Inglesh that I definitely know that the Inglesh don’t have an exact pattern to read it and prounoce it
Thank you so much sir

You're right! They are French.
Very Informative video. Thanks! But I had to watch it at 2x
English looted the word 'loot' from India 👍🏻
Knowledgeable vedio😊 may ur channel grow more faster...love from India❤
English use to steal even words LOL! XD
Hi Hold the letter "e" for 3 seconds and you will see the accent 😉
Can you imagine that when you say resume = pause the video it self pause haahaa. Strange !!
Haha 😃
Yeah. Let's all agree that the English language is messed up.
resume > ( بدأ من جديد (عند التشديد على الإس
resume > سيرة ذاتية (رزِمَي
embellished > ، تحريف ، مبالغة
I kind of embellished my bio to sound more interesting.
volunteer experience > تجربة التطوع
good teamwork > جيد في العمل الجماعي
excellent communication > ممتاز في التواصل
creative problem-solving> مبدع في حل المشاكل
Great job!
No, I have never embellished anything false to my CV I get sacred, I say in my heart maybe they will know HHHH
That's great! 😄😄
english takes everything from others, not just words
Very good explanation. I appreciate
Curry& mango are two loan words from malayalam ♥
From Arabic too 👀 sugar >> sukkar
Word Strenghts is similar to word Sixths
I was just like you, when I applied on my first job. I embellished my resume, when the hiring officer ask some questions which was written on my resume... I felt terrified because I knew some or most sentences I'v wrote was not define my personality... So, I realised and scrutinised my personality who really am I. So that, I can responds to the the hiring officer in more natural way. 😉
😃😃
If resume means to continue, is there any difference between it and lets say go on, come on, keep on etc? There are more words pronounced like this, for example lingerie. CV derives from Latin Curriculum vitae and should be pronounced as it is spelled except last ae which are pronounced just "e" [vite]. The good example for an English word with Russian roots is bridge (a card game). :)
There's no difference in meaning. You could say, "I'm going to keep watching the movie."
That's interesting! Also, I think we got the word "borscht" from Russian. Haha.
Oh I fathom how hard to pronounce this word is for you! But the correct pronouciation of this word needs two consecutive sh and ch sounds at the end [borshch].
Haha, that's great!
No, I don't embellished my résumé, but I made sure the grammar were correct.
To do this "é" press and hold Alt then type 0233 and release. Try it!🤗
I don't have an "alt" key! I use a Mac!
@@MadEnglishTV Oh, well. I guess you better ask Mr. Google then. I'm sure he has a better answer. He can tell you that "alt" key has different name for Mac. :)
English has many loanwords. 🤓
Thanks! I love this vedio!
Your teaching style is excellent. Loving it.
thank you you're the best teacher
Best way to teach... Excellent
4:37 *You can use the ASCII code to get any vowel with an acute accent for example Alt + 130 gives you é. For á use the keystroke Alt + 160, í use Alt + 161, ó use Alt + 162, and ú use Alt + 163. Otherwise, you can also change your keyboard language for any Latin version to avoid using the ASCII method. By the way, you need to activate the numeric part of your keyboard (NumLk), or whether you are on a laptop you need to use the Function key (Fn) to press the ASCII numbers, most of the time is over the letters on the left-hand side of your keyboard on a laptop. Actually, on a PC is quite easy.*
Very good explanation
bro why is this 9 mins just tell us
Thank you for your class
Sir, it's American or British English? I'm new English learner and u r the best teacher I found that. I'm following u.

I never try to put embellishments on my resume because I’m scared, maybe the interviewer would ask me a lot of questions.
But maybe someday teacher, I will.😅
Anyway, thank you so much sir for the very informative video. I want to learn more about English since it is really my dream, to become an English trainor.
Excellent! Thanks!
Perfect explanation
I never embellished anything in my resume ever. But I will have to do someday exaggerate my resume.
Please open word page and go to insert tap and go to the last ribbon named symbol then go to more symbol then type in the charactor code 00E9. And finally, insert it. I am sure you will find your symbol.
Haha, okay! That sounds like a complicated process. 😅
@@MadEnglishTV Haha, oh my!
Thanks. To obtain "é", press Alt + 130
Thanks!
This video is good. Your pronunciation is great. I like them. And thank you so much!
Is it correct to say: Please help me with your full name or phone number. Do you think using help in the above sentence correct?
No, it's not natural to say that. You should say, "Please provide me with your full name and phone number."
Mad English TV Thank you for replying, it is going to help me a lot.
You may type in "Rsum" from the keyboard and insert symbols é from the menu bar. :)
Thanks a lot

Your way of explaining is just amazing!!! I am Brazilian and I have never heard an English native speaker explain things that way!!!
I have embellished my resume to about family members.Because my siblings more than three so l just wrote two members.Once l got experienced that l wrote all members and later it's putting me on trouble.I failed to say each birth dates of them when interview.
Wow, that's interesting! Is it bad to have more than 2 siblings?
I feel very good to have more siblings instead. They warmers my life.
But in this cases l must embbelished to make it easy for me.Of course after l was considering it's wouldn't makes me into trouble in future.

Curriculum Vitae is from Latin.
That's great!
Of corse i did, why not? All people do. I worked 7 years and i had no experience of what i declared in my c v . Buuut i know my limits and my speed of learning . As far as you ' re concerned, no doubt that you worked better on your own. Sorry if i was indiscret . Was i? I also prefer to work alone even if people say i can socialize . I would prefer alone or have stuff employed by me. Das ist alles. 🤗
😃😃
