Had my b8.5 s4 for almost 8 years and with two kids now and me and the wife being on the taller side I went and got myself my marina bay blue 2022 x3m competition and I can’t even describe how happy I am with it. It exceeded all my expectations and then some the room inside is bigger than expected handling is better than I expected etc etc. and I get to take it to the bimmer invasion this Sunday at the New Jersey Motorsports park (btw you should come too) I think it’s one of the biggest bmw car shows on the east coast if not the biggest
Really awesome to see this x3m! I’ve been out of the BMW game for a while but man they have some beautiful cars with great designs and that x3 seems the perfect balance of sport and utility.
love the car, should consider trying out lowering springs like MSS springs or even better, KW coilovers, really improves the ride of the x3m which is one of the stiffest and also improves the handling, basically making it a baby m3.
Did you torque new one to 150ft/lb?? I'd worry that not enough torque could lead to slop and early failure - but I've no "real" idea. Great video, especially the part about - jack it until you think it is enough, and then it needs more! thanks!
If you think the factory shift settings are good you should get the XHP trans flash. Tons of customization if you want or set it an forget it you’ll be blown away.
you can’t tint windshields, but you can tint it clear ceramic. That’s what i’ve done on both my SQ5 and S4 out here in colorado. Since it’s clear i’ve spoken with a few officers and they don’t care, they’ll only get mad if it’s actually tinted and they can tell.
The wandering you're talking about sounds to me like tramlining from the tires. I noticed it heavily when I upped mine to get 295 rears. The grip from the 295s is great but it really hurt driveability in normal situations imo.
I once made the mistake of getting my windows tinted too dark. It was super annoying at night and just plain dangerous. It looked great, but no mod should come at the price of safety.
So glad to see that I am not the only one using the handle from my harbor freight jack as a breaker bar 😁

She sounds mean!!! Looking forward to the slow(time frame), but tasteful modifications. As always, great to take your time and do them right...

Yes, for sure change toe spec from aggressive factory spec and it will improve

Nah, it was doing it on the stock setup too. Given the wear to my rears, I think an alignment is in order anyway!

A comparison to the sq5 review would be cool.
This does literally everything better than the SQ other than feeling like an Audi and front corner visibility haha
Was the bolt bent ??? I couldn’t tell @ 3:32
It will not go into launch control in d3, it will only go into launch control in s3. Wait til you do xhp and you’re chirping shifts.
Whens a tune happen?
We need to know
Sooner than later?
Wandering issue fixed by upgrading tires 265/295
I have 265/295’s already
@@IgnitionTube I forgot you did in first video, get the allignment done bud
So why did the diff bolt need to be replaced?
Wasn’t sure the condition of the existing one
There is a verified TCM difference in the S modes beyond the transmission shifting for you. It isn't correct for you to say there isn't one.
First
No 0-60 mph time?? Useless video
Its stock just Google it
Which one was is better the sq5 or x3m to you? I have the sq5, but i am getting bored. Thinking about getting the 2025 Mustang GT.
SQ5 was super boring - this has more character but still numb
@@IgnitionTube we just reviewed a GLC43 coupe and that had plenty of character, have you tried one? It could tickle you
@@IgnitionTube Compared to the B8 SQ5?
