Great you have continued with Lucy Thomas arguably the best female singer around. Yes your first reaction was for the best ever version of ‘The Prayer’. Lucy does sing ‘Oh Holy Night’ so yet another song waiting your reaction. Lucy sings many covers including Adele so lot’s on Lucy’s channel for you to compare. But if you don’t want to get upset listening Lucy crush your favourite iconic singer then listen her original ‘Broken Dreams’, an all-time legend classic waiting to happen.
I’ve never heard anybody sing vibrato like Lucy. Lucy can do long vibrato, high and low, quiet or belting, all at the same time, so she must be a very comfortable singer. 😉
Lucy is such a very special and exceptional young women. She is beyond just talented. Lucy makes every song she sings into a masterpiece. She feels every word she sings. This particular song is more than wonderful. Lucy's genuine purity truly touches the heart.

Most popular but not necessarily her best, her voice has matured even more in past couple of years.

To hear her really open up and belt, the last third of All By Myself is outstanding, power and control never any where near losing full control and the first two thirds is very very good as well but those high belts cut through like a laser.
You should check out Elvis Presley doing Bridge Over Troubled Water live in Vegas 1970. Paul Simon saw him do it around that time at Madison Square Garden and basically acknowledge that this is the best performance that will ever be of his song.
I’m not an expert but I have listened to Lucy enough to know that she understands how to adapt her voice to fit the song and the emotion of it, so maybe breathy at times but not at other. She doesn’t just sing songs, she performs them and her ability to soften songs when others belt them out makes her unique. This isn’t a criticism of your reaction because I like it, but you might need to listen to several more to understand her range.

Lucy has a beautiful voice and it's a beautiful tune, but the words are a strange mixture of two Biblical themes plus other phrases that don't seem to fit.
No teasers that give away an important part of the song. Thumb's down.
