I love tough bandages and Tingsha runs! You are 100% correct that it would be amazing if there were powers that assisted Silent discard strategies instead of just relics for that!!
I only beat A20H on Silent one time and that was because I got an early Toxic Egg. I’ve been trying to beat the heart again and have been getting bodied ever since. Your content helps a lot with learning how to make decisions!
On Twitch, I saw you do a Grand Finale run 3-4 weeks ago (IDK if it was this run exactly) but it inspired me to give it a try just now when I saw it offered from Neow, and I have to say that was an incredibly satisfying run. I think I've always avoided Finale in the past, but you showed me how to take advantage of card counting/draw/manipulation (plus I got a Runic Pyramid!) and I was able to combine it with Pen Nib/Trip for huge shenanigans. Thanks for the great Spire content as always, Baalor.
Great run as always! The Juzo Bracelet doesn't get a lot of love, so I wanted to share something. My first ever A20 heart kill was a run where I bought Juzo Bracelet at the first shop in order to secure a double elite snipe with Neow's Lament. Did the bracelet actually help me not get combats? I don't know, but I like to think it won me the run :)
6:00 I just realized that you can reword "transform" as "remove from deck, then add a random card". So the difference between remove and transform options here is just whether you want to add a random card to your deck. And when you put it like that, I don't think you ever want to just add a totally random card.
removals are not unlimited and in Act 1 you still need absolutely anything above your starter cards to win (Baalor specifically advocates the random swap if you don't yet have a plan)
Dodging normality for the second half of act 3 with a grand finale deck that has frozen eye was a source of some really cool puzzles. Removing the normality was obviously correct but if you were forced to keep it that would make for some really fun puzzle gameplay
This run really highlights how strong of a slay the spire player baalor is, I win about 25% of my A20 runs and I feel confident I could pilot this deck to a win, but baalor barely spends any time thinking about card order. Each fight would take me about 20 mins to play optimally I suspect, he does it in less then 1
No, because spoon only prevent cards that exhaust when play them, while ethereal cards exhaust at the end of turn. Strange Spoon also don't prevent cards that exhausted by cards effects like Purity, Recycle, Fiend Fire, etc
I started a new variety channel! Go subscribe!

>baalor buys frozen eye
>"oh boy here we go again"
>check remaining video length
> 2 days 14 hours and 48 minutes
We need a compilation of Baalor calling his shots (like with the Grand Finale upgrades)
That was so insane
He also called a sunder on last episode, really like this idea.
It would make a good short

I am in the exact same boat. And to see a zero damage heart kill?! Amazing.
I'm actually impressed that juzu bracelet did proc'd literally zero times this whole run.

For that idea with Infinite Blades activating on discard, Replay the Spire has a card that does just that called Scrap Shanks!
If infinite blades added a shiv for each discard, calc gamble becomes storm of steel 😂😂
And storm of steel becomes two storms of steel

this is my favorite run of yours i've seen so far. big brain plays.
I can't even get grand finale to work. I don't think I have ever played it, lol. I bow to the mastery of baalor

The random card is more likely to be a rare than a card reward does, because the transformed card isn't affected by rarity.

if every other card in your deck is strike your defend you 100% want a totally random card

The double finale upgrade was fate. Absolutely beautiful run.
No way you called the double Grand Finale upgrade, holy run !!
That double grand finale upgrade was beautiful
Missed opportunity to mouse over the Bandages at the end, showing exactly how much block it made over the run/fight
Easily one of the best runs I have ever seen

Nothing better than making and winning a grande finale draw/discard deck
What would be a good balance for a starting boon that gave a shop relic?
Cheers from Chile, love your vids
More like "grand entrance" got me @ 44:40
This video took forever to end.
I'm glad its finale over.
*Hehe*
I just cannot beat the heart on A20 with Silent. Sometimes because I don't have enough block, sometimes not enough damage to kill before it scales.
I always watch his videos at 2x speed. I can't imagine watching them any other way. ;)
THIS RUN WAS NUTS
AND HOW YOU PILOTED VERSUS TIMESLUG
YOU GET STANDING OVATIONS FROM ME
what is the mod to make the paths diff colors
Does the spoon relic prevent things with ethereal to exhaust too?
No, because spoon only prevent cards that exhaust when play them, while ethereal cards exhaust at the end of turn. Strange Spoon also don't prevent cards that exhausted by cards effects like Purity, Recycle, Fiend Fire, etc

Wow, watch this video if you like to see Baalord engage in some epic spooning action.
🥵
Incredible run
Hi there! New here, is there a reason you don't play the slay the spire mods? Just don't like them as much?
Nice.
Baalor you are the best
