Thank you 🙏
Thanks a ton! You are simple creative no one can beat your creativity. May God Bless you more with the creativity.
Thank you 🙏
Bro you are mind blowing you save my money 2500 this filter is so easy and perfect my 2 feet aquarium really bro I salute you I like your attitude thank you you share this knowledge
Thank you 😊
Just discovered this video. Contrary to many DIY canister filters, it's obvious this one has been throughoutly thought! Up to using a siphon as an inlet so it's easier to fill the filter. I have no problem believing it actually works in real conditions.
Yes, it works great, thank you 👍
just stumbled upon this video, glad you're doing well with ur subscriber count now
I think this is great. I always use a diy filter. Power head in the tank up to a filter box. Works great. Thank you great way to do it.
Glad to help
I have made several Canisters and all sort of filter over the years. BUT, I always had issues creating a good flexible inlet assembly for smaller canisters, today I learnt that too. Amazing video like always. Waiting for more such wonderful videos.
Thank you :-)
Kya usmae apko overflow ki dikkat yi hai?
Oh Nooo....... Just baught a costly Canister filter yesterday 🤦
That’s okay, if you have any other aquarium, make a filter like this for it :-)
@@madebykm Thank you for the video.... I will for sure! 🙏👍
👍
Was waiting for your video and as usual you didn't disappoint. Excellent content
Thank you 😊
Thanks again for this very useful video. The steps are very clear and easy to follow.
Thank you 😊
Will it overflow if the current goes out ?
Also do we need to pump everytime we start ?
No, as the container is airtight / leakproof, it will not overflow when it is off. Also, there is no need to pump it every time you start the filter. It needs to be pumped when the container is empty / the container has to be filled with water.
Bro pls start talking in your videos again, it's nice to listen you explain things😄👍
All right, I'll do 😀
Had made this similar kind of diy canister but I'd used cpvc pipes and a big sponge on the inlet pipe + partion made of drilled plastic sheet between the media.
That’s nice 🙂
@@madebykm I must say your videos are great to watch.. Nice work👍
Thank you 🙏
Can you help me by telling what size of CPVC pipe you had used ?
@@amitavaduttabanik half inch
Awesome amazing superb work 👍
dada chomotkar hye6e...ekta diy aquarium making er video banio plz
Ha banabo, thank you.
Superb dada.
Where can I get straight connector and elbow connector?
Thank you. Please see the video description section for the product links.
Very nice build but those cheap siphon tubes are prone to leak over time!
Saludos desde Honduras en Centroamérica; lo único que se le debe agregar arriba de las esponjas es perlón nada más; del diseño y construcción es un canister fuera de serie.
Gracias
Hello kaushik , I have seen both of your videos on diy canister filter . Which one works the best ? The new or the old methodb
Both will work equally well
@@madebykm I'm following your method and i have placed the motor at top ( outlet at cap and inlet at the bottom) but the only concern is the tank is at a height of 3 feet stand , will the water reach there ( I'm using 18 w motor) also what's the side of PVC pipes that should be used
Wowww so great keep up the great work
Thank you 😊
You deserve a million sub ❤️ vison innovative laglo...ekta banabo ami eta dekhe 😌
Thank you 😊
@@madebykm ekta question chilo...oi diy co2 video te tumi agar agar powder add korechille...otake bangla te ki bole?? Dokane giye ki bolbo?
Otake Agar Agar e bole 🙂
@@madebykm ok dada 😌
What a pity. This guy is the best in trying out new things and very few subs
Even if one tries hard but does not get the support of luck, he will not get the expected result. And I'm one of those unlucky ones 😀
@@madebykm i dont about you but i am. lucky enough that i encountered this channel it is going to help me in my fist tank... I am new to this hobby 🥰😍
i subbed!
Amazing work bro as usual, you rocked it.
Thank you 😊
Bro such a useful video. I am gonna try it. Atleast it looks better than all those costly canister filters in the market. Best part is that you have listed all the required items in description. Thanks buddy
Brother maine same filter bana diya hain achaa work krta hai but mujhe overflow ka problem aa rha hain jab band krta hun filter to overflow hojata hai thoda paani
Aur 1 doubt tha kya main is fliter ko 4 feet aquarium main use kr skta hun??
Yahaan 100% airtight / leakproof container use karna chahiye, nehi to ye problem hoga. Isliye maine video ki shuruyat me dikhaya tha ki kaise test kiya jaye ki container leakproof hai ya nehi.
Aur ye filter maximum 2 feet tank ke liye ideal hai, 4 feet tank ke liye aise 2 filter use karna parega.
@@madebykm Aur agar isi filter main jyada power wala powerhead laga diya toh kaisa rahega kya wo bhi chal sakta hain?
Haan, laga sakte hain. Phir bhi, 4 ft tank ke liye ye bohut chota hai.
Excellent. Easy to make, use and maintain in comparison to those cumbersome filters available
Yes, thanks
Nice build KM👌👌🤝🤝
Thank you 😊
Can you pls make a bacteria starter for newly established tanks
Will look into it.
I have made this cannister filter works brilliantly, i have made it using this same lock and seal container, however the water level jn my filter keeps decreasing till the head of the submersed pump, anyone who has made this kind of filter has any idea why this is happening ?? @MadeByKM
If air bubbles in the aquarium water are sucked up by the filter intake, it will gradually accumulate inside the filter, at the top. So, if this happens, you can turn off the filter and open a hinge of the container and let the air out and then close it.
Very nice. If you would have added fine filter sponge it would make the water much more clean.
awesome video thanks, just 1 question. we have a lot of power failures in South Africa 😩. will the container keep filling up when the power goes off or not????
It will depend on the quality of the container. If a very good-quality airtight / leakproof container is used, water will not leak under any circumstances. So before making the filter, you need to check that the container is completely airtight / leakproof or not, just like I showed in the video. Thank you 😊
Thank you
👍
🙏🙏 thanks bro this knowledge sharing👍 this 2 benifit
👉save my money canister filter 2500👈👍👍👍
And 👉 this filter is perfect my 2 feet tank ♥️♥️♥️♥️
Great 👍
Amazing work bro
Thank you 😊
Nice bro👍
Thank you.
wow! That is super nice! I am thinking now of ways to modify that so that the input can feed plants and the output can become a waterfall. But yeah awesome!
Thank you 😊
Good one 👍🏻
Thanks
Y did u make holes in inlet pipe
This is my favorite DIY video.
I would prefer an Eheim Canister but why shouldn't I make it myself, when I have excellent teachers like you.
Please give me the links of the things from where you purchased. Even the glue and the hose. I'm not finding those.
Also can we place the pump outside the filter. Please make a diy like that.
I have given the links in the description, you can check them out. Also, you can get the glue (fevikwik) at any grocery store. You can get all these items at very cheap prices if you buy them offline (supermarkets and aquarium stores). Moreover, I will be making more different types of canisters in the coming days, so stay tuned. Thank you.
Great stuff!
Qq, Can this be used to any tank. Or is there a certain limit.
Especially with the container you used..
This filter is suitable for 15 to 20 gallon tanks and can be used in tanks up to 30 gallons. Thanks.

Increíble trabajo 👏🏻😁 Lo copiaré 😁
Thanks 😊
Hi , is the filter pump is under the water or if not does it get the motor heating issue ??
Yes, the pump is under the water.
Ok this was cool... just needs more filter media. Carbon, polishing pad, etc
Yes, you can add different types of filter media to it as per your requirement.
Dada one doubt : I have built my 3x1.5x1.5 planted aqm, with 2x1x1 sump below it , now should I turn on an air pump also ? and if yes can I do it in the pump return chamber or I have to do it in the main tank ?, ba na dileo cholbe ?
Air pump er dorkar nei, emni thik ache.
Very very very very nice❤😮, 👍 yahan mujhe achcha Laga thank you
Thanks
I have 20 lit tank. i will using method in video but i have 400L/hr powerhead. Will it usefull. I am having betta fish.so i need slow flow.
Great work
Thank you.
Saved it and will do it later. This is the best filter i found.

Thanks I bought all the stuff all I need to do is start this process 😅
Thanks sir 🙏 ☺️
👍
Its the inspiration to make DIY
Thank you
Excelente trabajo muchas felicidades 🎈🎉🍾🎊
Thank you 😊
May i aak why you chose to place the Siphon on the bottom and the pump on the top as oposied to thr pump on the bottom?
Amazing , I had a question, you fixed inlet pipe at bottom and outlet on top , what if we put both inlet and outlet through the top lid itself ?
Also if I place the canister at bottom on the floor , will it work or the motor won't be able to pump the water in the tank (my tank is 2.5 above floor)
1. This is because the water will first come to the bottom of the container and go up through the sponge filter pads / bio balls where the powerhead will pump the filtered water back to the tank.
2. You can also place the filter below the tank, there will be no problem if you use a powerhead with a good flow rate (eg 1000L / H or more).
@@madebykm ok thanks 👍
👍
@@madebykm Then , is it ok to do vice versa , means will it work if we put inlet on top and outlet at bottom
Yes you can do that, but then you need to place the powerhead at the bottom of the container, under the filter media and connect it to the outlet.
Hola excelente video. Quisiera saber para qué le hiciste huecos al tubo de entrada? Gracias
So that water can enter the inlet tube not only from the bottom but also through the top of the pipe. Thank you.
Brother user UV light inside the container it will helps to more clear water.
No need to use a UV light, this filter can make the water crystal clear without it also.
@@madebykm in my case used UV light after couple of days only my tank water come crystal clear
👍
how will it work once after there is a power cut, as the water input is not initiated by pump and is done by syphoning. will the water stop flowing? or what will happen?
McGyver...
Thanks
It's amazing I want one
Add ceramic rings , at top instead of bio balls.. more effective
Sure 👍
Master stroke ….Using gravel cleaning syphon for suction 👏👏
😊
Nice
Thanks
This filter make enough oxygen for 2 ft tank
Found your channel today and subscribed. Great idea's 👍 gonna try a few. Thanks ❗️ 😊
Thank you
Thanks for giving an idea😂❤❤❤
👍
👍👍👍👍 can u tell me from where u got this parts ...........
Please see the description box for details.
Nice video and great idea for the flex hose. I would spend the extra dollars and get a bulkhead fitting for the suction line, that’s a lot of water to want to rely on silicone
Great tip!
Awasome dada 🤩 😍 ❤ ♥ 👌 😢 🤩 😍 ❤ ♥ 👌 😢 🤩 😍 ❤ ♥ 👌 😢 🤩 😍 ❤ ♥
Thank you :-)
Superb idea. Very useful for me. Love it from SRI LANKA 🇱🇰 😍 🙌
Thank you 😊
Plz make a video on diy bowl light.
Ok, I'll keep that in mind and make it 👍
nice! this video made me subscribe to ur channel
Thank you
Great work, it need creativity to do such things, well done
Thank you very much
What happens if power off...? It will over flow? Or stop suction?
You need to use a container that is 100% airtight or leakproof, then water will not overflow from the container under any circumstances. I have given the link of the container I used in the description, you can check that out.
Man u r awesome in my life I see the best diy filter video
Thanks
AND ITS GOT A PRIMING FUNCTION !!! WOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWW !!!!!
🙂
nice
which silicone did you use
Can it make the problem of overflow if we switch off the the current
Absolutely not, I used a 100% leakproof container.
Awesome
It's Nice Dear, kindly clear my one issue how to clean fish poo from aqurium
Use aquarium gravel cleaning syphon - amzn.to/3uFiBpB
Thanks.
But we used the syphon to make the canister filter now tell me is it possible that we clean the wastage with the same project
Canister filters / power filters cannot clean waste from the bottom of the tank. But if any waste gets near the inlet pipe of the canister filter, the filter will suck it up.
Will it work if i try to make it with a bigger water tight container cuz i got a 4ft aquarium😅
Why not? Just make sure the container is 100% leakproof. Also, use a powerhead with a water flow appropriate to the size of your aquarium.
Can i use 30w pump for same method ?
Does inlet flow and outlet flow will be maintained equally or not??
Sir can you make a DIY top filter that's easy to make
Yes I will make
Dada I am from kolkata can help me to making this canister filter
Sure, watch the video thoroughly and check the description box for more information. If you need further help, just ask me here, and I will guide you.
I'm a beginner looking for DIY filter. until i stumbled into this video.
I might try this to build for my crayfish
love you love you hehe thank you
Happy to help!
Thank you. Subscribed.
Thank you too!
Which W power head should I use for my 1ft cube planted canister filter
But if there is power cut then the siphon will still be working.
Yes
wow baik
Thank you
Looks great, new to this hobby, Just wondering how much will this same setup cost if we buy from a brand(Readymade)?
Canister filters available in the market are very expensive. For example, this is the smallest model with a flow rate of 400 Liter / Hour - amzn.to/3uS9NfX
And the canister filter I made has a flow rate of 1000L/H
Thank you.
@@madebykm wow, yes ,i see the difference. really impressive effort by you. Appreciate it. 👍
Thank you 👍
👏🏻
😊
Wonderful craftsmanship KM
Thank you 😊
Is it available if somewants to buy from you?
Sorry, I’m using it.
Should i use this in 2ft. Tank?
Yes, you can
Very nice. Thank you for sharing.
Thank you! Cheers!
Brother main bhi same banane wala hun filter kya iske results achee hain long term main?
Haan, main abhi bhi ye filter use kar raha hoon, aur ye bohut achcha kaam kar raha hai.
Для не большой банки самое то😀
😊👍
@MadeByKM made something alike with different resources used but I can't have it working. Can someone help pls ✌️
What specific issue are you experiencing with the filter?
@@madebykm it won't release the water into the outlet.. I'm thinking a leak somewhere? or is there any other thing to it?
Ensure that all connections or joints (pipes, connectors, the powerhead, etc.) are completely airtight or sealed. Also, use a powerhead that is suitable for your tank size and strong enough to pump water up to the tank. Also, follow the steps shown in the video thoroughly. It will definitely work.
