Classified world cultural heritage... I guess the dunes and the stary nights alone could fill it up... Been there : most beautiful experience ever...

My new found research of Algeria, the escorts are to protect the tourists and the locals. Trying to get around this, even if it’s not intentional, isn’t respectful of the care they are showing you. It’s not what we’re comfortable with in the West, but this is a different culture with limited exposure to our craziness. The trash you found in the desert, might be a sign of that.
