For those of you watching and wondering what "NOED" is. "No One Escapes Death" is a perk that activates when all generators are done. It allows killers to down you in one hit. Tunneling refers to focusing on only the unhooked player, or one player in particular ( even going as far as ignoring someone in front of them ) until that player run out of lives, then they tunnel the next person until they are dead too. It works more effectively at lower levels, mostly because the person that's unhooked hasn't healed up to full and will go down in one hit, but tunneling makes the killer focus too much on chasing, and less on more beneficial opportunities like getting the others from completing the generators, and it really sucks for the person being tunneled no matter what level they play at. Edit#1: For you veterans of the game, calm your trousers. This is an overall short description of NOED. I know there's also people who would argue about it's mechanics not being that powerful because survivors can disable the hex totems that activates it in the first place before completing generators making it waste of a perk slot against a good, coordinated group of survivors, who might in fact, not even get caught by the killer to be hit with it to begin with. We know people, we know. But they don't. 😉
Thank you! Literally came down to the comments to figure this out. I was figuring it was gonna be something like all 4 survivors have to be alive to escape, and that's why he'd only be bothering with one of them. Now THAT would be scummy
Camping exists but dosent make any sense, you camp 1 person so the rest will escape without braking sweat... Also i remember when i campes once as huntress and it was bcs all 3 survivors were walking around the hook so i knew that no one was doing anything usefull, so i could do anything i please.
Honestly, Rowan on the hook at the start of the video had a far more convincing blood curdling scream than the actual game's VAs. Should have him do the VA for an actual character.
Listening to it again, yeah, i feel like Rowan really has a great grasp on pain. I make similar sounds when my pelvis misaligns with my femur. The sensation is much like shattering glass (femur end) and burning in pelvis. (I have VA care, not much hope for the future lol)
I tried playing as a killer for a while and honestly, it can be so hard. I was so happy whenever I finally saw someone that I would just do my best to get them, I most definitely did not have the luxury to choose who to go after (in fact, I couldn't really even tell them apart). So I sometimes ended up essentially accidentally tunnelling people. 🤦♀
I wouldn't be apologetic. I imagine 90% of people who cry "Tunneling!" are people who aren't very good at the game and the killer naturally takes the path of least resistance.
Don't worry about it. As a killer main, I end up tunneling people sometimes and I never mean anything by it. Usually it's because they keep running into me shortly after being unhooked, but sometimes if they're harassing me with flashlights and pallet stuns and what-not, I'll gladly remove the thorn from my side if they let me get the chance lol.
I think at times tunnelling can't be helped. While I do actively try to avoid singling out a player to hunt down and kill, there are times where I end up chasing the same player. But if a player gets unhooked when I am close by, I at least do the decent thing and go after the one who did the unhooking. It's no fun for the player who gets hooked if they don't get a chance to breathe and die early in the match. Only times I intentionally target a single player is if I think they're either being toxic, or I have a mission to mori kill one. But with the latter, even then, by playing normally that can be completed naturally.
I mean... It's the logical thing to do. Should you hook the player who got unhooked he is going to die quicker which is going to give you an advantage. That's the point of playing killer. Fucking killing!
@@tearsofamon I mean, it's the killer's fault for going after the person that was unhooked every time. Obviously it's not camping if they unhook barely after you left, but tunneling and camping are two completely different things. Plus, if someone's tunneling, they probably would've camped them, they just didn't get the chance.
Imagine if survivors would have honor rules like no pick up save twice in a row or don't finish a gen if killer is chasing someone. It's ridiclous how these rules only go one way.

And sometimes you have to because you need the pressure. It’s such a biased opinion on both sides and yes it’s not fun for whoever gets affected but most times it’s not intentionally against specific people and sometimes you need to confirm a kill because you need pressure against good survivors
@@Grebolexa that and the fact that it makes sense going after the one that has already been hooked before. Its just logic decision making: Secure an almost safe kill or go for a complete fresh survivor?
@@Grebolexa if all you found was the injured survivor then sure I can see the point but the way games been going for a while now it's the above scenario to a t. Killer has the option between the unhooked survivor and their unhooker and will go after the injured instead of actually applying more pressure by going after the other. If you have three people uninjured and you go after the hooked person that's still three healthy people doing gens. If you go after the healthy person instead of tunneling you're denying one healthy person from working and making one unhealthy have to spend time healing themselves or occupy two people's time healing. Tbh, there's nothing wrong in this so called intentional "tunneling". The survivors are just gonna bìtch about something. It's a fine strategy to target a wounded survivor because of his slow speed.

Difference between survivors and killers is perks really, so many killer perks essentially do your job for you or punish survivors for playing the game well. Meanwhile survivor perks are mainly situational. It’s what makes playing survivor so frustrating is that half the games are just “you’re mistake was playing the game”

@@Sariiger I suppose one could argue that most movie killers tunnel. They have one person they're after, and everyone else gets the axe because they got in the way.
@@foofoo3344 I don't understand the logic behind the whole tunneling argument in the first place. The killer's objective is to kill as many people as he can. When given the choice between someone who is injured and someone who is not, basic logic says you go after the guy who will go down in one hit. You cut chase time in half thus giving the other survivors less overall time do generators. If you don't go after an injured target when you see it on some lofty idea of imaginary survivor-invented "sportsmanship", then while you spend a solid 2 minutes chasing and killing another guy, when you could have chased down the other one in 30 seconds, your injured target will have been healed, generators will have been completed and you finish the game with maybe 1 or 2 kills at best. And for what? Some idea that you shouldn't chase the guy who'll die faster as logic would dictate you do? Survivors think the killer should literally throw his own game, so that they can have a better time and that this is what fairness looks like. Because fuck the guy who had to wait 30 minutes a lobby to even get a killer game, right? That guy doesn't get to have fun.
It's all the games out there, the second there's multiplayer and actual people involved there are just people who grief others and others who play casually and don't even know what tunneling is and the game lets them do it so why not and it's always an easy dev fix. Just give the unhooked player 30 secs immunity to down or invisible/undetectable for 15 seconds. If need be, not make it possible for them to interact with anything during that period. p.s. Never played DBD
Could be worse, you could be PropHunt and have your player base dwindle down to nothing because survivors complained so much about killers being "OP" that they completely neutered killers to the point that no one wants to play them and MM, even when queued as a survivor, puts you in as killer. Rather than people getting better, they'd rather whine to the point they break the game in their favor.
@@bhuvangunessee the issue isn't actually the fault of the killer. If you notice, the other survivor immediately starts healing Rowan right there in front of the hook. When survivors get unhooked, the survivor gets notified and will usually come running. If he sees twice survivors right next to the hook, and one is already injured, then he'd be an idiot not to get the injured guy. In DbD, you have 3 health states: Healthy-you can run at full speed, and need to be hit twice to be downed. Injured-you move slower, leave a trail of blood, make noise as you groan in pain, and only need to be hit once to be downed. Downed-you crawl along the flood and make noise, the killer can pick you up and put you on a hook. So when deciding who to go after, it's easy to decide to go after the slower, noisier, easier to track survivor. Especially since you can only be hooked 3 times before instant death. They don't show it here, but the first time you're hooked, there's a full timer, and you can try and escape. The second time, the timer is halved, you can't try and escape, and you you have to mash a button to stay alive. The 3rd time, is instant death. As a killer main, I've seen soooo many idiots who unhook survivors before I'm even out of sight, making them waste all 3 lives instantly.
Its just not very fun when you get into a game, a nurse with lethal downs you in 10 seconds, and then camps and tunnels you for the rest of the game... its a party game where you still rank up if you lose as long as you play well... you derank if you kill all 4 and only get 4 hook states. Its just strange that people play that way knowing there's not a competitive mode or anything.
As someone who played a lot of killer the hardest part was dealing with the survivors. Harassments after game and stuff that basically boils down to "You didn't let us win without any trouble so you're a dick." I honestly play ruthlessly just so I can see them cry and moan. Its a game and I can be "toxic". Tunneling is an effective strategy and so is toying with them until they DC. Yeah. You'll see survivors complain about "tunneling" even in matches where the killer has gone out of their way to hook everyone twice before anyone dies. Surprised the entity hasn't has a heart attack from all the salt.
This is literally the only game I would play that I would get flamed with salty messages after a match. But yes I'm going to camp 2 hooks at the same time if they don't go for generators. If your tactic as a survivor is to group into a circle everyone's game on
Then during the next match, all the survivors start equipping flashlights and begin T-Bagging. Leading into the next match after that as the Killer then becomes a Basement Bubba.

Killer can either chase the person who was unhooked, or the player/s who unhooked them.

I know there's also people who would argue about it's mechanics not being that powerful because survivors can disable the hex totems that activates it in the first place before completing generators making it waste of a perk slot against a good, coordinated group of survivors, who might in fact, not even get caught by the killer to be hit with it to begin with.

My money is on Rowan, angry at being tunneled when it's his thing.
@@scottamann2445 He is probably the killer here
I tried playing as a killer for a while and honestly, it can be so hard. I was so happy whenever I finally saw someone that I would just do my best to get them, I most definitely did not have the luxury to choose who to go after (in fact, I couldn't really even tell them apart). So I sometimes ended up essentially accidentally tunnelling people. 🤦♀
When survivors do the thing where they run of quartet of same cosmetics Nea, it's no longer my fault if someone gets tunnelled.

Should I just ignore the person I found because it’s the person that I hooked last time and intentionally leave myself with not knowing where anyone is. And sometimes you have to because you need the pressure.

In DbD, you have 3 health states:
Healthy-you can run at full speed, and need to be hit twice to be downed.
This is so good i had to turn it into a meme. Love the work VLDL
So true haha nailed this one!
You guys do a great job in this. Everyone looks so much like the survivors.
The Killer’s hand gesture at the end “wait, pls don’t leave…” 😂
As someone who played a lot of killer the hardest part was dealing with the survivors. Harassments after game and stuff that basically boils down to "You didn't let us win without any trouble so you're a dick." I'm not saying there aren't killers that aren't "toxic" but I didn't care about tunneling or the best perks, just went to kill who I saw as I saw them and just had to ignore the end game chat of players who probably still won still being salty and harassing the killer for playing.
people act like "targeting the weak and injured" isn't a basic concept.
I honestly play ruthlessly just so I can see them cry and moan. Its a game and I can be "toxic". Tunneling is an effective strategy and so is toying with them until they DC. Truth is as you said they complain and boast even they do win as if they've never won before 😭. Been a few times I actually allowed the last person to escape and they swore I couldn't catch them even though they were one hit and I coulda. Entitled
So many times as Killer ive been accused of "camping" a hooked survivor when the whole entire squad was there trying to unhook them. Like I'm sorry all 4 of you are here what do you expect me to do just walk off? Maybe if you guys were doing gens instead of trading hooks I could actually be somewhere else instead of "camping"
If your tactic as a survivor is to group into a circle everyone's game on
That was sooooo good and so true… I miss DBD, it’s almost Halloween Season and I play this and F13. Great vid!
Really nailed it! The tunneling and the No-Ed omg I can't believe this universe I got to watch this. Thank you!
As someone whose played a lot of dbd I can honestly say I love these videos!.
"I'm not angry, I'm just disappointed" 😂
Then during the next match, all the survivors start equipping flashlights and begin T-Bagging.
Leading into the next match after that as the Killer then becomes a Basement Bubba.
You guys definitely bring it to the next level. Love it!
You guys are getting really good with he special effects. Awesome work. Love it!
Keep up the work :)
How, exactly, would you describe this work.hmmmm?
You guys should make a video about the survivors not being able to simply jump over the traps haha.
Or walls
“I am not angry, just disappointed.” The words that hurt more than being beat up in anger.
AS A KILLER MAIN...
Ace should have been blocking for David or brought borrowed time.
David could have brought Decisive Strike or sprint burst.
Not everybody wants to grind out every character for their relevant teachable perks
@@deandrethomas9703 Only the first part of the comment then xD
The best part of this is Rowan usually is the killer when you watch his streams lol
That was pure perfection. Absolutely nailed it. Keep em coming.
I want to see the next video where the survivors don't repair the generators because they think they are professionals and are trying to blind a killer
I think you missed one, they already did that one
It’s outrageous that we didn’t get an outrageous at the end there. I’m not angry. Just disappointed 😪
It’s outrageous isn’t it
Just how this plays out had me laughing and I'm not even a video game guy I just stumble across your channel about a month ago and I've been watching a bunch of y'all's videos and this one really had me chuckling. Just the way they confront him and then the comments when they all walk away that was hilarious "You just want an ethical killer"
Poor Trapper needs a hug 😂
Also, since Rowan/David was complaining about the NOED "crutch" perk, you can be damn sure he was running Dead Hard, Decisive Strike and whatever else is considered a "crutch" perk for Survivors :P
DS deactivates now when all generators are completed.
Ooof
@@tricklee31st97 What is NOED and DS?
@@viix3815 NOED = Hex: No One Escapes Death, every Surv in the game is exposed (One hit down), though being a totem the totem can be broken either after it activates or if every totem is broken before End Game- when all the gens are finished- it doesn't activate. Since its rework it also has an aura that can be seen by Survs.
DS= Decisive Strike. After X amount of seconds of being unhooked you have a chance of stabbing the Killer after they down you and pick you up thereby breaking their hold on you and allowing you to run. The stun lasts for 3 seconds now on the Killer. Doing any conspicuous actions in the meantime (healing, unhooking, repairing gens, etc) disables the perk until the next time you are unhooked and you can only use it once per game
@@viix3815 Noed is a perk that makes survivors a one hit to down, if you dont find the totem on the map with noed on it. ds is a perk that gives u a chance to jump out the killers arms if u hit a skill check after being removed from the hook.
The production on these are amazing! Would love to see like a 30 min episode!
As a killer I don't even care about winning. For me, the joy is in scaring the shit out of the players as much as I can. For all I care, all 4 could escape, but as long as I scare them all and chase them around and make them panic I consider it a win.
Then you get survivors who cheese with flashlight and just run in circles around mantles. That ruins my fun. The game is best when played by people who don't really know what they're doing imo.
You sound like a scratched mirror myers player 😆 he gets me every time 😆
I had a really good laugh at this one! I think the perfect ending would have been if Rowan started teabagging as soon as the killer would turn away.
Hehe we have that coming soon 😜
