I thought the same thinf but i yelled loud asg the whole show cuz everytime i thought about letting off i couldnt help to think that dave is still going hard he gives it his all might as well give it mine to show appreciation. The whole audience never let up either. Grohl does it every night like a badass and gives it his all we might as well do it for him and the band🤘
I was so afraid Dave was going to fall off the stage and break a leg. He made me laugh hard tonight. He eventually broke his leg by falling off the stage but he still kept going. Making life fun for the whole family.
A few days after this, I saw them in London two nights in a row. June 22nd and 23rd. BEST SHOWS EVER. On night 2 I got in the Golden Circle and it was absolutely amazing. Nothing could beat it except from meeting them.
Wow what a view! I was there that night on the floor at the end of the runway. I’d give anything to go back to that night. Top video thanks for sharing.
thank you so very much for this my friend. I guess 99.9% of us musicians will die unfortunately not being able to reach something like this, but still, love to watch

Does Dave tell all the other dudes....'I'll do all the runnin' around, arm waving, and 'forward ramp' meet n' greets? I get the weird feeling that...as much as we 'Love Dave'....that HE's the Alpha Boss in the outfit, and will be the one getting most the attention. is this the "Dave Grohl' Band....................or are they called, "The Foo Fighters? Just an observation. Guess there can only be "One Rock Star'...in Dave's world. hey?.... just sayin' it like i'm seein' it here. The other dudes...seem 'dutifully restrained.
I'd say there are elements of both. The Colour And The Shape was entirely made by Dave, he recruited other musicians so he could take it on tour. He's the main songwriter. Taylor Hawkins (drummer) refers to Dave as "his boss" in a radio interview (search "taylor hawkins drumming masterclass"). I think in the same interview he also said "Dave, you gotta relax and let this be a proper band". So I think nowadays, each band member will bring things to the table (if not full songs) and they'll thrash them out until they have something worth releasing. But on the other hand, yes, I think think Dave is still very much in charge. He'll likely have the final say on album tracks for example. On stage, yeah, he is being the front man and all that entails, because can you imagine what it would look like if the whole band was doing that? It'd be a circus. It would just look silly. I can't find the video anymore so I can't say what to search, but i've seen Chris Shiflett (lead guitar) and Pat Smear (guitar) on the catwalk during songs. No doubt the others have been there too. They are indeed dutifully restrained, but not because Dave has ordered them to be, but because they all professional enough to know what is appropriate and what isn't.
On-stage volume these days is very minimal. In fact most bands of this size normally have no on-stage sound at all! They play with in-ear monitors instead. Gone are the days when bands like ACDC and The Who used to play every night deafening themselves with stacks of Marshalls/Hiwatts behind 'em.
All of those speakers are directional. Nothing's pointing towards side/back of the stage. Plus the compression of the camera audio and RUclips audio. Sounds exactly how it's supposed to in that position.
Are you kidding me? Dave Grohl is one of, if not the best drummer I have experienced in my life time. Not only that, he is full of talent as a musician, songwriter. I’m amazed at that comment! Not only that but the foo fighters are one of the best live bands you will see. Nothing middle of the road, if anything they get better and better as they grow older. On top of that, they remain down to earth rather than allowing fame and money to turn them into jumped up divas. You can’t say that about many people in that industry!
It's great to see the Foos from this angle, so I don't have to see the gorilla drummers ,bleached toothy grimace. Man those cymbals are loud in the mix but the snare sounds bad.

I'd say he's just being a good frontman and doing his job

Strangely quiet on the stage. I find this odd and interesting.
Not really surprising. The speakers are facing outward towards the crowd

It would definitely be louder on stage in front of the monitors and amps.
