Connection: the foundation of learning in Waldorf early childhood

In Waldorf early childhood and preschool, we often hear about delayed academics. This video explains why we don't turn our Storytime field trips into science lessons. Instead of focusing on "learning opportunities," we focus on "connecting opportunities." As parents and caregivers, we can focus on cultivating connection between our child and the world around them. Connection is not the opposite of learning but is the foundation of later academic learning.
