I had a similar situation of what was depicted in the video. I was cheated on by my ex when I deployed to Iraq in 06-07. Of all the times I tried calling I got in touch maybe 4 times and almost never when skyping. I did not find out the full extent until I came home. I had my suspicions, but gave her the benefit of doubt. The reality of it really started hitting me toward the end of my tour and I started becoming more reckless everytime I went out on a mission, things like not seeking cover when taking fire or nonchalantly responding to IEDs (Improvised Explosive Device). Also I would become more insubordinate to my superiors. One thing I knew for certain was that she was not going to see a dime of insurance money if I was killed, I listed others as beneficiaries. After all this time I'm still not quite over it.
I have family that has been in the service and I think the fucking Jody's need to be forced at gunpoint to join the service and see what it's like when their girl fucks around behind their back.
Most people are going to recemend The Distance as a good song but I'm going to suggest Sheep Go To Heaven, Goats Go To Hell. The title alone should intrigue you to check it out! Lol
