For external BOMs I have found the plate parameter 'Area for 1 Side'. Its code in the BOM Editor is |Area1. How do I use this parameter in the BOM Template? Is there a special Field value I need to use to call this value?
Thanks for this video. Question...How can i create a BOM of a floor plan on a drawing to only contain information for the beams showing on the plan...I ask because if i try to create one on drawing it gives BOM for the whole model
Hi Douglas, Thank you for your question. Not easy to answer, but it definitely is on our list for a video. Briefly for now: a BOM on overview (GA) drawing will show all elements if the drawing style of detail is based on "Complete model (with or without xRef)". If the GA drawing is created using a drawing style based on "Detail box", then the BOM will start from the elements included in the "Detail box". This is what you are looking for, I assume. %QuantityInPhase only counts beams in the same level. But if I have (e.g.) 4 beams in a level and 4 beams in another level. The list only shows or count 4 beams. I need show in the Bill the paint area of the 8 beams. ¿¿??
Amazing! Thank you so much!
Another very helpful video, thank you.
