Kai has one of the best Redemption arcs. It's a seriously underrated one with how Beyblade tends to be overlooked among the endless list of anime, but damn if it's not good. So often we skip over the former antagonist rival having tension with his team before finally settling into a friendly rival position. But with Kai spending more of the season being aloof, before leaving the team, then coming back, it makes the final arc moments with him extra special. Especially because he lost his match solidly, so isn't just 'back and solidifies his spot with power!'. It's his coaching and support that really shows he is part of the team, not just his win record.

This arc was one of the coolest finales to a Beyblade series, but in a way, also bittersweet.
This is, so far, the only Beyblade series to be produced by animation studio Madhouse, with production on V-Force and G-Revolution taken over by Nippon Animation. This isn't a mark against those seasons, far from it, but the visual changes are noticeable, mainly in character designs and the use of CGI for the Beyblades. The latter becoming a staple for all Beyblade shows moving forward.
That said, this was an awesome review series, and I look forward to seeing you tackle the next 2 seasons in the future👍

Man, the eng dub fucked up a lot of things...
    -The white tiger never leaved
-Ralph (Robert) didn't offer Takao a training, he went hard on Takao from the beginning just to expose that Takao was relying on anger (just like Gianni did in Rome)
-After Kai and his grandpa speech the Black Dranzer chip is shown on Dranzer and Takao and Prof K saw it thinking that Kai was about using it. But then during the match Kai uses the normal Dranzer
-And yes, Yuri is definitely not a cyborg ahahahah

However I still wished this final episode have more scenes like seeing Tala, Bryan, Ian and Spencer confront by their coach Boris for using them and then reappeared again as they reform while join the White Tigers, the Allstarz, the Majestic and the Dark Bladers challenging Tyson as the new world champion because that would make sense to the end of this episode.

Will say I wish ya luck with V-force it's not my favorite season tho it may have some moments that could be neat.

I wish there was a beyblade anime with a school setting like Yu-Gi-Oh GX. I think enough time has passed that it wouldn't seem like they're copying that idea. Great job of this reward review. I just started G-Rev about two weeks ago watching 1 episode a day. And yes, the sound track is peak.

I looked forward to this hardcore, and you had a good point about Tala that I never observed before; he's Kai without friends. But he's also an ABUSED CHILD. For child abuse alone, BIOVOLT was so exquisitely illegal in real-world context, holy sh*t.

Thank you for letting me relive my childhood in a fun and also genuinely thoughtful way with your commentary walking us through the story beats and laughing along with the ridiculous and charming aspects of the show. I find it's extreme and ridiculous in world logic is very reminiscent of yugioh and I love it! I also really wouldn't mind you stretching out the content to point out more fun or interesting things or plot beats in the arc, I'd take a 30 - 45 minute version of this any day.

So in the Japanese, the ice dimension was created by the bioengineered ultra Bladers HATRED. It wasn't part of the plan, it was just something his hate filled perfect body chose to do to isolate him, cutting him off from the power of friendship and making him know the pain of being trapped, alone, unloved.

The long-awaited review! Rei's battle with boris/bryan was one of the best episodes ever in the first arc. You can tell a lot of things hinged on his victory; he'll have to gain that through blood. At the end, rei pulled through despite the odds and allowed takao to face off in the final match.

V-Force for me it's the weak point of the original three series. It has the best bit beast animation, although the characters feel younger. The plot lines center around three connected arcs. It's good but I prefer the other two series.

Agreed. As a kid, it was awesome because it was a new season, but even then, I wasn't a big fan of the new art style or the storyline after they beat the Psykicks. As a senior citizen, I prefer to just stop watching after that win and go right to G-Rev.

Glad your reviews have been restored and these troubles are past. I'm... sure it won't be the last time this sort of thing happens to you, but it's worth celebrating these small victories anyway.
Having Kai lose and be placed in the role of a tutor once again was a masterful move by the writers. It highlights that his greatest strength is not his prowess at battling with a beyblade, but as a guide, a planner and a strategist, this makes him more interesting than he would have been if he won and was simply another "warrior".
4:57 Preeeetty sure injuring your opponent should be very illegal in such a sport, but what are you gonna do.
8:29 Pretty sure defying the laws of physics, and taking your opponent into a pocket dimension in the middle of a match should be illegal as well (just a little bit).
Thank you for this review series, this was pretty fun, I barely remembered this stuff. I look forward to your other projects, and the follow up as well!
