Had significant success with Regen/Awe/Obfuscate bless in dom 6. Expand with Dai Oni, never recruit any units, spam temples in every single province you own and drown the world in oni freespawn. Starting domstrength of *2* because after you spam enough temples, it will be up above 10 anyway XD.
@@jackmclaughlin648 Which part? I've been playing Yomi along these lines since.... either early Dom5 or Dom4. It works great for me. A few nations can roll you early, but with the above bless and some basic self buffs (personal stone/ironskin, fire shield, temper flesh) your Dai Oni can, completely ungeared, kill basically infinite amounts of standard human infantry. Giants can hurt them. Berserkers can hurt them. Truly elite stuff can hurt them.... but most indies fold easily. Even barbarians or heavy cav. A lot of national lineups too. So you are making one Dai Oni every two turns and each one is their own expansion party. Towards the mid game, as counters to Dai Oni thugs start coming along, you need to be in the position of having templed every province and beeline towards End of Culture. Banish Demon? Holy Scourge? These things cease to meaningfully matter when you are freespawning 100-200 assorted Oni per turn or more. You one shot an aka oni? I have more. Meanwhile your freespawn can kill even enemy elites very easily when at +5 att/def/strength from chaospower and all the unrest you cause, and is being buffed by some Dai Oni you retired from active thug duty. EA Yomi isnt some secret S tier nation, but playing it this way has made it a solid B+/A- tier nation for me for years, and is great fun.
The dreaded Dai Oni expansion, so fun to do, but very risky, especially with the increased number of indies. Last thing you want is some cloud mages invis in the province you're trying to take. Yeah dom strength of 2 is a legit tactic, though I didn't want to be called out for dom killing people in multiplayer, glad you're finding it successful!
@@ChazzyBurger Regen and Ave can take out anything but bone tribe and is only vulnerable to freak accidents like getting feebleminded (which is rarer thanks to regen's affliciton resistance)

As it stands the next national overview is mostly decided by community votes, both by the viewers and members, who as it stands have voted for more early aged nations. It makes sense, most people prefer the early age over other ages, but I'm trying to work my way through every nation. Hopefully I get there before dominions 7!

Edit 1: Yep they are, I completely dropped the ball with that one, I had left that there when making the slides and didn't correct it before I put it out, completely my bad! Edit 2: Yeah you can! You can usually make temples with most sacred commanders, however due to their upkeep and your slow recruitment outside of your main capital fort you want to keep that role for any of your demon priests, you want your Shugo doing more important things! Edit 3: Yeah I love the larger bless! It's pretty good on most sacreds so long as they're not size 5, 3 or 2, with some exceptions of course depending on whether or not they're easily recruitable. For Yomi I really like it to be honest! Edit 4: Yeah the statue of war has always been the "classic" if it were pretender, not necessarily my paths because you have some versatility thanks to his 40 point new paths but it's a good starting point if you're not sure where to go with the nation!
