It's a bad thing because that means he now has the responsibility of what amounts to a child who will never say their first word. It's a big deal that many people don't want to deal with.
It wasn't that he didn't want to have her, but he wants her to be free.

it sort of IS a bad thing, since he doesn't have the right material to take care of her, and the baby deer has to get some mum luv you know? :)
This was sooo cute and so special that the fawn found her mother and the mother reaccepted her!!! Amazing really, since the man had to nurse the fawn back to health for a long time. I'd be nervous about releasing the fawn into the wild at such young an age without a mother.
Well it was still a baby so how was it supposed to survive on its own? Good thing it was reunited with the mom.
