In the story with undyne she tells that asgore dodged all her attack except 1 but hesitated to harm her showing how asgore is fast reacting and in the fight with asgore neutral route he was heavily holding back due to grief from losing toriel

Shes a boss monster, but her hps too low and she has nearly no combat exp.
7. Mettaton
Mettatons strong but not necessarily comparable to the rest of the list
6. Sans
This will get me ALOT of hate but let me explain.
Sans deals one damage and dodges about 28 times, kr is his main factor, however. Against people such as papyrus or people with little to no guilt hes rather weak, and even against people with huge amounts of guilt but huge health pools, he deals one damage, sans is so hard in the game cause hes the perfect matchup against the player.
5. Papyrus.
Really strong character who holds back alot, but if its an all out battle hes really strong.
4. Asgore
Asgore is THE strongest monster normally without determination nor souls, he holds back by a ton when fighting us, causing us to actually win, undyne said she wasnt able to land a single hit on him during training, which means asgore CAN dodge, him not holding back will result in the whole mountain being turned into a pit of fire.
3. Undyne (the undying)
Undyne managed to tank alot of hits from a genocidal frisk (who was dealing about 20k each hit), shes got alot of attacks and she has determination.
2/1 chara and asriel.
This can go to either one since chara can completely erase the game while Asriel has infinite stats.
Your forgetting gaster who has the 2nd highest attack and defense stat making him third or 2nd (behind asriel and maybe chara)

@@What57119 we have seen him teleport or fade out of reality meaning he can move and potentially fight but id still make him third simply because he would be so tanky that no one past chara would be able to harm him meaning he would simply outlive them by being too tanky
You forgot Napstablook who has the best defense of the hole underground and only one shown to harm ghosts
One thing about Sans. After fight, we can notice, that count of killed monsters haven't get bigger. That's mean, that he survived hit with 999999999 damage ang his hp can be a lot more
I think, Asgore is underrted, because undyne said Asgore can dodge attacks, and we don't know what happen if he absorbs six human souls

It's something like 9999999 Hp 9999999 Def and 8 Atk so Gaster may be stronger than Asriel according to stats yet we don't know what he is actually capable of because he is almost featless except for being Royal Scientist so we know he is pretty smart but that's all.

IMO Asgore is above Sans and Undyne, there is a reason he is the king (still not above Asriel and Chara though for obvious reasons). In the real fight, Asgore is practically begging to be killed by Frisk. He doesn't wish to fight, intentionally holds back, and when your HP drops to 1 he purposely stops the attack so you can heal. If Asgore wasn't so depressed and destroyed by his past and a little boost of confidence was added, he would probably be the hardest boss you'd ever face BY FAR. Don't forget he also has the ability to dodge as stated by Undyne, and his stamina is much higher than Sans' stamina. On top of that, he has way more health than nearly anybody in the underground (exceptions being UTU and Normal Mettaton). So if he was fighting with everything, good luck with him dodging and widdling down his HP one by one.
Strength is not the only indicator for becoming a king (inheritance and wisdom are even more important here)
+ In a fight with the same Sans, Asgore’s sins would greatly harm him (we do not cancel the effect of karma, as well as ignoring armor), and he would also not be able to have 2 breath against Undyne (if we remove the conditions for her transition to an indestructible form )
He is a strong monster, but still he dies just as easily from our 1st attack in genocide (you can’t even write this off as a surprise, Sans was able to escape from our 1st blow while sleeping, and it’s very difficult to wake up from a dream INSTANTLY and move quickly )
Therefore, he is deservedly lower than the Judge and the Immortal Undyne

2. He has a lot more stamina than Sans, since Sans gets tired easily.
3. All Asgore has to do is just tire Sans using his comple bullet patterns, then he can just land a hit on Sans.

Technically sans is stronger then undyne since he can manipulate space and time also he doesn’t die from being hit by frisk in genocide at the end you can check your kill count it doesn’t go up after you beat him meaning he lived
Also anyone saying you gained lv you gain level of violence being hurting people it doesn’t matter if you hurt them physically or mentally all that matter is that if you hurt them enough you will gain lv aka LOVE so that means sans had at least 10mil hp meaning that he could definitely take hits from undyne if we take that into account
Nope. That's not his HP, rather the damage that you do. Same thing with papyrus, it says you do 420k when Papyrus only really has like 400-1000. Same thing with Asgore at the end of a genocide route. That's also why you kill METTATON NEO in 1 hit. Not because he has 9 million health, but because you want to hurt him so bad that it does that damage.
Sans has 1 HP, or at least, very low HP. He cannot take a single hit from Undyne (undying) as he'd die, like from ANY other monter.
Also, yes, he does die at the end of a genocide route. Your LOVE changes to LOVE 20, and the reason why the kill counter doesn't go up is probably something along the lines of "There are no more enemies to kill, so I just kind of forgot"

@@RodrigoCedeno-t3l Ok, i'll try and make it easier to understand. In UNDERTALE, love is Level of Violence, or the willingness to hurt. The higher your love, the higher your willingness to hurt others is.
So your willingness to hurt others can far exceed their HP. To put this into perspective, Asgore has 3,500 HP. However, in Genocide, after you get the max amount of hurting capacity you can, you do like 1 billion damage to him.
This is also the reason why your ATK goes up. It's because you want to hurt more.
TL;DR: The more you want to hurt, the more damage you'll do.

Eh... what your saying is ture, but theres something else to it. Sans will tire out after numerous attacks from Undyne. Lets say every spear of Undyne's attacks are one attack, in her first two attacks in the Undying form, she throws out 27 spears. Sans can only dodge 25 times, in theory this would tire him out. Now, lets say Sans wouldnt tire out, he would need 12.78 Minuets to kill Undyne (Without KR as we dont know if it works on Monsters) where as Undyne could very easily tire Sans out and strike him down.

Technically sans shouldn't be there: he is strong only against someone with a lot of love, if he were to face Undyne in base form he would get obliterated. Imagine how strong would sans be for example, against Asgore, who killed several humans who are way stronger than any other monster and give waaaaay more "exp"

Even just insulting someone raises your LOVE, with a lot of monster having gone through the Great War (the war between Humans and Monsters), he surely is pretty strong against everyone. Also all that does is that it makes him able to deal Karma damage (the poison one), but he still deals 1 dmg/frame without it.

If you're talking about how he dodged Undyne, it's a pretty poor explanation. All that was said is that he could dodge Undyne, but can he dodge in the 1v1 system of Undertale when paired against a player ? Also why would he not dodge the player's attack ? Because he held back ? That's such a lame & headcanon-like excuse.
The only reason why Sans gets tired is because he continuously breaks the rules of the world. He attacks during your turn, the first turn is also his for some reason, he can dodge the player's attack, teleport, change the size of the box & keep his turn forever. The only reason he gets tired is because when you attack him and he dodges, he's breaking one of the most fundamental rule of the world.
Also let's not forget that the only reason we actually win is because we learn Sans' patterns and attack. Literally no one knows Sans can fight apart from Asgore. If he goes all in he's sure to kill the monster since they won't have any experience.
Now if Asgore absorbs the souls, that's a completely different story.

Also even if Gaster could get out of the void,we don’t actually know what he can actually do (every of his abilities are fanons but he can probably summon bones if he a actually skeleton) and I doubt that he can beat Asgore or the God form of Asriel (or even Omega Flowey).

people are confusing the diffuculty of boss fights in the game with the actual power of characters... the thing to remember is, most of these characters dont expect us to create that much chaos for them. they already captured 6 human kids, and it's probably kind of a yearly route for them now. they aren't filled with DETERMİNATİON. at least, for most of them. and we have seen what happens when a monster is filled of determination. I mean, look at undyne. she has a reason, and she is fully determined to stop us at the genocide. sans? he is the last barrier, last hope for the monsters. just think how much determination should he feel. so yeah, I think every monster is around the same power level. Every one of them have their abilities, and weaknesses as such. the think that makes them strong is, though, determination. determination is kind of like an energy source at undertale. so you cant judge them based of their boss fights. everybody will be strong when they have enough determination. thus, that's why we, as a human, are able to beat all of them. this is our power. we have the purest determination among all. anyway, looks like I talked a little bit too much. good strollings if you made this far, and goodbye
As far as I remember, wasn't Undyne an exception? In pacifist we are told that monsters are not compatible with determination, and that those who were injected with it lost their form, same as Undyne when killed in neutral route. It's just that in the genocide run the world itself tries to give her as much plot armor as it can. Moreover, monsters show that they can use different abilities associated with souls like Patience, Perseverance, Integrity, Bravery, Kindness and Justice, only being incompatible with Determination. We are able to beat them only because we have the Determination; with another type of soul we would die like the previous kids that came to the Underground

I would agree but since asriel needed souls to achieve the form i find it a little unfair to out asriel in there due to the power up
Papyrus and Asgore are underrated. Both of them holds back during fights, we would probably get two more sans level boss fights if they went all out.
Chara is equal or stronger than Asriel. Chara has possession of Frisk at their absolute, who’s Determination was on par with Asriel (Asriel wanted to use a True Reset to erase the world).
For those who want to say Frisk couldn’t hurt Asriel. This is because Frisk doesn’t have any will to kill. We see with Undyne in pacifist they only dealt 1 damage as they were incapable of going all out.
Chara was also capable of a true reset even without the Players soul. As they erased the world much like in Pacifist.

Papyrus could destroy u in 0.00000001 milliseconds if he went all out. he doesn’t even move in his fight but every other monster does and the monsters go all out to try and kill the human. Also, papyrus has such good control over his magic compared to any other monster. And also he has a cooldude costume under what he wears all the time

1.flowey is the GOD of undertale he HAS to be 1 it would have been IMPOSSIBLE to kill omega flowey if the souls obeyed him becuase remeber the heals in that fight were only there becuase the souls disobeyed him + there is no other way to heal so if the souls obeyed her you would die becuase you couldnt heal and EVEN if you managed not to die whats impossible you only deal 1 damage and the checkpoints are also only becuase of the souls disobedience so its a guaranteed 1st place

Papyrus is actually not that weak as you think. you see, other monsters like toriel can *accidentally kill you* while in the toriel fight while at 4 or less HP. But papyrus doesn't accidentally kill you he leaves you at 1 HP before you die so he can _capture you_ and put you in his shed. This means he can control his magic abilities (bones n stuff). And hes THE ONLY MONSTER TO DO THAT.
To me, and I think I've heard this else where, Sans isn't powerful in the canon of undertale whatsoever, he's just a very difficult boss for the player to fight because he essentially cheats and is smart. So alot of people misunderstand this as him being powerful when he isn't.
