Happy don't really complain about others. It's the bitter, insecure people who try to focus on hating someone else rather than themselves. People focus more energy on hating others than admiring others. American society is very cynical. Therefore, we seem to have this unconscious hatred of people who are happy, successful, and confident. I can understand this, as I was a cynical teenager (in hindsight, I was even a really cynical nine-year-old) and it's something that I still fight against. It mostly stems from insecurity and envy. Just know that shaming others for being more privileged, happy, nice, confident, or successful is not going to make you any happier. You're merely self-perpetuating your cynicism and dissatisfaction with your own life. Just some thoughts...

What's moving about this is the blush, or rash on Anne's neck. It shows how this is still affecting her emotionally. Her voice indicates this too. And talking about it in public is difficult. But talking about it openly like this helps her in her ongoing journey to overcome it completely.

Gosh haters, get a life, you'll never be happy with her one way or another. You call her phony, vapid, insecure and many other negative things, yet she's here doing great. Use some of that energy and make your life happier. If she chooses not to shake a journalist or anyone else, that's her right. Some people are not big on shaking hands but that doesn't mean they are arrogant or proud. It's just that some people easily get infections as a result of their immune system and avoiding close contact with people in general is something they choose to do (I know a few people like this). Some people extend hand shake without even making eye-contact or respecting the other person so I don't think it's a sign of respect. There are many other ways to show appreciation and respect.

Those lines sound cheesy for one who doesn't suffer from such a problem. However, for the person struggling with depression and manage to get over it, those popular lines magically appears to be extremely meaningful and can be understood deeply. (Speaking of my own experience.) I'm pretty sure Anne understand those words deeply.

The self-love bit really struck a cord with me and I kept re-playing that part. Anne has now inspired me to go on the self-love and acceptance journey. I think we should all be at a point where we never listen to other people's comments because WE KNOW WHO WE ARE and dont need validation :)

She is a very good actress, and she seems to be that kind of person that when has to do something works hard. Maybe some people are annoyed by that, maybe they prefer the "i don't give a damn" attitude of Jennifer Lawrence, but i don't see how you can write things like "shut up bitch, we hate you anyway". Hate is kind of a strong word to use for someone you don't even know and also for someone who hasn't done really nothing harmful to deserve it.

I must congratulate both Anne and Ellen, for surfacing this very important issue that effects all people. Bullying. When it is your intention to please, especially, verbal abuse can and does cause deep, injuries and lasting scars. ..put-downs, name calling, insults, belittling and critical statements can literally destroy belief in one's reason for living. That was a great little speech Ellen gave at the end. People shouldn't mistake someone being emotional with them being weak. And even if someone were to be weak, who in the world are we to spread rumors and make their life worse than it already is? I wish bullies would just put themselves into the shoes of the victim and realize how hurtful they are.
Anne Hathaway is beautiful inside and out, kind, graceful, and really strong. Everyone just hates on her because either they're jealous or because in comparison to jennifer lawrence she doesn't exude a self-deprecating type of humor which makes people nowadays believe attest to how grounded you are. it's like because she's so sweet and slightly awkward it's seen as "fake" and used against her. just because she's not your cup of tea that's no reason to hate her though. she's extremely talented and hardworking and I hope to see more of her in the future! wishing you all the success and happiness, Anne :) I look up to you.

Gosh haters, get a life, you'll never be happy with her one way or another. You call her phony, vapid, insecure and many other negative things, yet she's here doing great. Use some of that energy and make your life happier. If she chooses not to shake a journalist or anyone else, that's her right. Some people are not big on shaking hands but that doesn't mean they are arrogant or proud. It's just that some people easily get infections as a result of their immune system and avoiding close contact with people in general is something they choose to do (I know a few people like this). Some people extend hand shake without even making eye-contact or respecting the other person so I don't think it's a sign of respect. There are many other ways to show appreciation and respect.

I always liked Anne, but as of late, I've seen more of her that I love. I saw her speech when she won that ally award and this. She really is an amazing person and I hope to run into her one day! i've heard so many people say things like "learned to love myself", "kept on living", "got to know who I was" etc...Yes, but what does that mean? For the person struggling with depression and cyber bullying they need a bit more than these popular sayings.
Those lines sound cheesy for one who doesn't suffer from such a problem. However, for the person struggling with depression and manage to get over it, those popular lines magically appears to be extremely meaningful and can be understood deeply. (Speaking of my own experience.) I'm pretty sure Anne understand those words deeply.
I love Anne so much, she's my main inspiration in acting and I look up to her so much for her work, how she carries herself, and her inner and outer beauty.
