    The question was how fast is the piranha 140cc?
    So I decided to do a top speed test on the piranha 140 and the piranha 125cc.
    Which bike is faster? How much faster is one vs the other? Watch the video to find out!
    Enjoy!
    Bikes:
    White with Stickers: Pitster Pro X2 with Piranha yx140cc

    My buddy and I follow you. I just finished a 70 cc with a 90cc parana motor from tbolt. Now working on a125,with 140 parana also from tbolt. Ready to start it and ride, but waiting on custom cables to be done. I have 17 teeth sprocket in front and 35 in the back on both bikes. I raced the teenager down the street from me about a week ago on his ssr 125 and almost beat him in 2 drag races up our street. Was almost about to pass him as my ram's were still climbing, but we both had to start slowing down for the stop sign. Next run was rolling into second gear on the next street over. I smoked him on that run and he is about 70 pounds lighter than me.🤣 tbolt is the shit and I can't wait to have the 140 going with the same sprockets. Love your videos man, keep it up

    Loving your videos im from Australia been a pit bike lover for 15 years or more unfortunately they aren't as popular over here i just bought a old school genuine thumpstar 2007 model to play with and will probably get a pitster pro as well soon but harder to get over here

      Convince a few friends to get em and make it popular. I have snowmobile, atv, big dirtbike and jet ski. The pitbike is the only thing I could never see getting rid of lol
      And those thumpstars are really fun. We used to have one and it was a great bike to wheelie

    If both motors are pulling the same rpm's at the top end and have adequate torque to get there with identical gearing being used the top end speed should be basically identical, the higher HP motor may get there quicker but is still limited in actual speed by the rpm, and gearing.
    The larger more p[owerful motor though should be able to run a taller gear and still reach top rpm than the less powerful motor and this is where you gain all the benefits from the larger more powerful engine as far as raw speed difference is concerned.
    To go faster you have to increase how fast the tire is rolling either through gearing or turning it faster due to a higher achieved rpm of the motor.
    You can always gear the bike for more speed at the cost of acceleration and hill climbing power.
    Speed is not the end all advantage to installing the larger more powerful engine.

    Great video well explained. But both bikes have different rear sprockets that's changing the gear ratio. That 140 if you brought it down to a 37 tooth sprocket that thing would fly.

    • @slavsquad
      @slavsquad  2 года назад +1

      Thank you! Yeah I changed the sprocket on the 140 and it flys. Both are oem engines. I have to see how big the rear is on the 125. On the 140 it’s a 39t

    You cant compare the bikes unless the equipment is the same. The 125 had street tires. The carb tuning. etc lol this isnt an accurate demonstration. I have a 125cc and its great, but my 140 is definitely a step up. Especially when you have it tuned right.

  • @jeremyharris4415
    @jeremyharris4415 2 года назад +3

    I was very surprised what the difference in the speed with both of them but you are still getting a bigger frame with the 140 bike and probably depending on how much you weight is well on both motors

    • @slavsquad
      @slavsquad  2 года назад

      Yeah the 140 defiantly weighs a good 20-30 pounds more. Plus the 125 is on street tires so that helps a little.
      I ordered street tries for the 140 so will see if that plays any big roll. Then maybe do different sprocket sizes
