I can watch your older videos for days, it's Sooo beautiful out there.. you've done an amazing job.. compared to current pics, I like watching them grow.. you've done an amazing job, and have a beautiful property..
It took a great deal of time and effort to get out property dialed in. I will probably go through sections of the property in the future and explain exactly what we did to make it look like it does. Let’s just say that I’m glad the price of diesel was more reasonable as I have put over 1,300 hours on my tractor so far.
Great video Chris! You are doing a great job with your figs. That Planera Fig was beautiful! I am excited to see how all your inground figs do and can't wait til your next video. I am north of you a few miles and have a few of the same varieties as you. I will begin putting them in ground next spring. Your work is giving me a preview of the possibilities for my Orchard. Thank you for the excellent content!
Thanks George - I’m getting better results than I originally anticipated. I think my in ground trees are actually ahead of many of my potted trees in many instances.
A side note on the persimmon trees. I prune mine to have a very open centre as to get the most sun on it everywhere. So far it has worked great! Is there a reason why you are directing it to have a leader? Great videos, I will continue to follow you thru the seasons. Please keep them coming?
I think BenB might have found a winner with Biffaro Zeus. Really curious to see if Black Zadar and Golden Rainbow ripen in ground after a very cold and wet spring.
Thanks Kevin - I’m learning all the time and trying to identify best practices for my region. There is not much information about growing figs in ground in Oregon out there. Our growing conditions are unique and it is fun determining what works and what does not work here.

Fabulous job. Thanks for sharing, really enjoyed your video.
That is really nice to hear. I am somewhat obsessed with figs and love to share.
Nice looking orchard! I'd love to have all that growing space.

Beautiful Trees!

I grow with an open center as well - I grow with a central leader to get the base above where the bucks like to rub at rut in the fall
Beautiful fig orchard! I’ll be following your growing season so I can apply it here in Seattle
