For everyone that don't know. All Super Sport style bikes have fully adjustable suspension and controls for a reason. Unless you have tuned your suspension and controls for your height and weight , the bike will not feel right. And if a bike does not feel right, most cases some minor adjustments can make huge improvements. Even if your bike is brand new and feels awesome, if you haven't tuned your suspension and controls to your body, your missing out on alot.

I have an 07 R6. It was my first vehicle. We've been rockin together for 11 years now. I've ridden countless other bikes and have two liter bikes in addition to my R6 but my R6 is still my favorite bike. The way you can grab it by the scruff of its neck throw it around, the way it screams when you're wringing it out. Oh man it's just the best.
When I get off my liter bikes and back on Storm (my R6) it is almost shocking how underpowered it feels in first gear. Power comes on at 6,000rpm. Under 6k it legit could pass for a 250-400cc bike BUT I love that because it sounds amazing and I actually get to use all the gears. It's super fun constantly going up and down the gears and rev matching on downshifts. I've got 2 bros exhaust and it just absolutely sings. On my liter bikes, gearing is of course, WAY taller. Like you actually could and probably just stay in first gear for all normal city riding and that's incredibly boring. There is just so much power you never get to use.
The ONLY thing I'd change on my R6 is rear brake lever position. Idk if it's just me, specifically but it's very difficult to cover the rear brake. In fact, I do not cover the rear brake. I have to lift my foot upand reposition any time I want to brake. I"m not sure if that's how it is on other bikes as well. But for wheelies you should cover the rear brake to prevent looping and there's just no way I can effectively do that without trying to fanagle into some weird body position. So that's possibly what Max meant by not feeling comfortable. You cannot comfortably cover the rear brake if you're my height 5'11
Yes I'm 5,11 and I can not seem to cover the rear brake comfortably either I'm looking at getting a brake pedal that is extended wich might help
I have never heard anyone say that an r6 was hard to ride other than having to keep rpms up. But not handling wise.
Late response but same, Maxy said "you've gotta get on the throttle so early" while cruising around 6k rpm. Shift early and the R6 is really tame, kinda cool if you ask me.
I have an 07 R6. Probably one of my fav bikes ever made.
Edit: The 07 is one of the best years made. It’s HIS bike that is set up all wrong

im curious as to how his bike feels. i have a 2014 r6 and its my fav bike ive ever owned. feels amazing and its not really that uncomfortable at all, and im 6'0 250lbs.
It’s not the bike, it’s how the owner set it up. He has aftermarket stuff. I have 07 r6 and you won’t get really any power until like 10k rpms so just gear down next time.
I just bought an 07 about a month ago best feeling bike I've road so far and I think his clip ons need adjusted cause I don't have that fairing problem

Power kicks in starting at 8k - 10k.. R6 loves to stay above 10k rpm
12.5k and above it is when it is happening. Too old to use it a lot, but that's where you want it.

the handlebars look out of slight alignment. lever perch on both sides to low.your gloves look to tight on your wrists as well restricting movement .it did look awkward. not the norm cheers

U should have never got above 2nd and 3rd gear if a r6 aint screamin your not doin it justice facts 💯💪takes some big nutz to truly ride a r6 thru the curves at thise high rpms but its the nature of the beast
