    Incredible playing and tone!! The reverb is sweet and the drive doesn't cover up the tone of the guitar. I want the cherryburst plaintop gloss version of this. Something about it looks so cool.

    If it is possible could you share the specs and amp setting you use to get the tone? Cause among all the videos I saw for epi lp classic your tone is the best.

    I'm at this point in my life where I believe that an epi with upgraded electronics & pickups and a good setup is a better choice than a gibby most of the times. Maybe that's because I have played Gibsons and have demystified them a bit

    • @hanskorn

      Agreed! Playability, tone, and comfort can be achieved regardless of brand name.

    Und wie fühlt sich die Gibson an, im Vergleich zur Strat?
    Ich spiele schon seit Ewigkeiten Strats, aber in letzter Zeit denke ich auch über eine Gibson nach.

    • @hanskorn
      @hanskorn  2 года назад

      It’s a different experience compared to a Strat. For me, Strats feel faster and easier to play while Les Pauls feel clunky, but have a drastically thicker tone. These differences inspire me to approach the music I’m playing differently and I feel both are fundamental instruments to own any collection.

    Nice playing! How would you describe the difference between the strat and the les paul necks? I have a Player Strat with a Modern C Neck, which I really like. The les paul classic has a slim taper, wich I never played. Are they kind of similar?

    • @hanskorn
      @hanskorn  Год назад +1

      Thanks! For me, they are different. Modern C Strat necks are very thin-to me, almost like an Ibanez Wizard neck. Even though the Les Paul Classic has a slim taper, it's still quite thick in comparison to the modern C. To my hands, the Les Paul's slim taper feels more along the lines of a vintage Fender baseball neck. Think U-shaped or D-shaped.
      Hope that helps!

      @@hanskorn I know what you mean. I was always a superstrat guy and when I first got an LP I was so confused with the shorter scale. After many years I've come to prefer it actually, feels totally natural especially if combined with a beefy neck. Suits my wide palm, short finger hands
      I must point out how badass your epi sounds through that THR. I love that amp to the death 💪

    • @hanskorn
      @hanskorn  2 года назад +2

      @@WeeFreeMan78Agreed! I played some superstrats and even though they had bridge humbuckers, they still sounded totally different compared to the raw crunch and power of a Les Paul’s bridge humbucker. I feel like superstrats are so slick that they basically play themselves where as a Les Paul fights back, puts out whatever you put into it, and makes me play in a different way. Wish I had owned a Les Paul sooner in my guitar journey!
      Thanks man! These Yamaha THR amps are amazing. Great value, convenience, inspiring tones, and motivate me to practice more.

      @@hanskorn I've had some amazing superstrats, played effortlessly but there was something missing. Only one that stands apart is a 1991 Korean Washburn N2 which plays like nothing else and sounds MASSIVE, significantly better than my old N4. Weird...
      I wouldn't change my THR 10X for any other expensive micro head. And I'm about to purchase the 100 head, not because I need it but because it's really something worth having in your collection. And it absolutely deserves to be a hand down to your kid in the future 😆
