This was so interesting, you and your sister are really inspirational. I am a mother of two, 10 and 13, and I am 20 years older than you but I've discovered so much about healthy eating and fitness through you which I am now passing on to my family.
It's good to know you are an actual dietitian. It certainly gives you credibility. Unlike many influencers giving dietary advice without any qualifications, some barely out of high school. Not too shabby by the way as it's quite an involved and complex course that not just anyone can do. You're doing an amazing job 👍

Good on you! I would say start small with some great designs, see what the reception is like. If you’re not a designer I would say it’s been soo amazing for me working with one to help draw up my ideas and produce tech packs.
In terms of finding a good manufacturer, I’ve partnered with local companies that I’ve paid to connect me with good ethical manufacturers. I’m sure there would be something similar in the US. But essentially they have good relationships with factories and go visit them and then they connect you if they think it’s a good fit (for a fee:))

you can start anywhere! it depends what you want to do but for a product / ecommerce, begin with a brand idea like what it is you want to create, an aesthetic, logo, branding, website, mood boards and then begin sampling products. You can start with a relatively small investment eg small collection, or even just 1 item/product. There is a great website called fiverr where you can find people to help with websites/logos and colours too!

I think anyone who asks you their salary should tell you theirs first. No idea why people think they are entitled to talk about what creatives make when in general we don't want to talk about what we earn as nurses/taxi drivers/receptionists/publicists/librarians/chemists/IT specialists etc.

How did you end up with a Canadian agent??!
good question! he reached out to me early in my career and offered to bring me campaigns or for me to flick over any emails for him to take over for me. Over the years I have handed more and more over to him and now almost every brand deal I do goes via him as he is so so amazing! I have spoken with some Australian agencies but never got the greatest gut feelings from them :)
