  • In this video, we'll be practicing how to order food in Korean using natural expressions and everyday phrases. Your Korean language exchange partner, I, will guide you through the practice in two stages. First, you'll take on the role of a customer ordering at a Korean restaurant. We'll provide a script on the screen, and we'll start off speaking slowly before gradually increasing the pace to a normal speed. Then, we'll move on to paying at the counter, again starting slowly and increasing to normal speed. By practicing in this way, you'll build your confidence and improve your Korean speaking skills.

Watching the video for a second time, I really love that ending has no subtitles and you have to rely on your listening skills to understand the conversation. Even though it is the same dialogue but I feel it helps you get use to the normal speed of how a native would speak. Side note: I am always amazed at myself on how well I can understand some Korean dialogue at normal speed.

The normal speed was very challenging

Exactly! It can be a bit difficult to speak at a regular pace. Try practicing speaking a little more diligently. Your mouth will soon be able to keep up with your thoughts.
