regarding the debut song confusion, i assumed that their debut song was cookie because that was the last thing they released and i was thinking that just officially marked their debut, but as im hearing from many people that attention was their debut, so i’m very sorry for the confusion!! I hope this helped anyone asking :) tysm! (edit: i’d also like to apologize for not helping to distinguish the members when they were all together!! from many comments im seeing that would have been a great help, ill keep in mind this mistake and make sure i dont do it again in the future 👍 on top of that, id also like to say that when i was making this i tried to cram in as much information as i could find while keeping the video under a short time since the software i was using at the time did not have a alot of space. Since i stanned newjeans the same day when they announced that theyre gonna be debuting i thought attention is theyre debut but turns out it isnt! so just clearing this up for other people

what I like about the group is that the company does not focus on a particular member only, instead, they promote the members as a group fairly. favoritism is not visible. and in every promotion, you can really see the equality for every member 💙❤️🐇

We all adore this group BUT don't compare yourselves ..like really ... we only see the good side of this industry but we fail to see the "bad" side.. they get health issues , menstruation issues , bad hair issues , they get forced to stay slim and are mostly on diets.. they have many struggles but all we see is their figure , beauty and we start comparing ourselves which is not good .. People , you're unique and beautiful ✨ we're sent on earth to be better version of ourselves not to be someone else..

tysm for this comment, after seeing newjeans they seemed extremely perfect, im really insecure about myself in terms of dancing and honestly it's refreshing to hear that they only show a good side of themselves and not the errors
The only member I knew up until this point was Danielle because she is clearly mixed-race, so the face (and name) was easy to distinguish. Now I know all their names, but I still can't tell who's who 😭 It's gonna take practice but I'll get there. They are SO talented, now I see why they blew up!
I have the same problem. To me as a westerner that means they all pretty much look Asian, which is so refreshing. I was getting tired of all kpop members trying to look like me.

1. At first, I cannot differentiate between Hanni, Hyerin, Hyein and Minji lol all of them hair long black hair and 2 of them have almost similar name 😂
2. Danielle is easy to spot cuz she looks western.
3. I also thought Hyein is the oldest cuz she's the tallest and have more mature aura compare to others and Hanni is the youngest.
4. Hanni and Danielle have the strongest stage presence

The girls confirmed through Phoning that as they have no official positions, there is no leader either in the group! We all think of Minji as the leader because she is the oldest one but they confirmed that she's not!

NWJNS debuted with 3 title tracks (Attention, Cookie, Hype Boy) and 1 B-side (Hurt). They have NO OFFICIAL position, not even official leader assigned. (Confirmed by NWJNS themselves via Phoning). They said they can do all so there's no position assigned to them.

Just look at their eyes. One has cat eyes, not literally but the shape at the end is very sharp for one. Minji looks different than other 3. She has a classic Korean look, and looks mature. I guess 2 other names are similar too so that make it bit harder to remember their names too.

I think maybe in the updated version you could include that minji and hanni were in PTD MV and Danielle was on a korean variety show when she was younger so a lot of knetz remember her from that and hyein was an MC for pocket tv for a few years doing kpop challenges and guested on boni hani with TXT and hanni used to be in a kpop dance crew in melbourne too! other than that though i really love the format of this guide and it really showcases their talents first and foremost!! :)

The two that were the hardest to tell apart for me at first are Hyein and Hanni. Haerin immediately became my bias. She's almost to pretty to be real, her moves are always on point, and I love her voice. She also seems like the member most likely to get lost in her thoughts and look at things in her own unique way.
