Hi there, love your reactions and how much you admire Angelina. I have been following her for a long time and I love her so much much. I feel like a very proud Gran. I want to suggest that you listen to song written by Angelina just before her family moved to LA. It called OSLO it is absolutely amazing. Blessings to you from a 77 year old gran from South Africa.
I have listened to this reaction at least 6 times. Thank you for your unique insight and effort. This time i was thinking about movie scenerios. The violin coda brought me to an old man's tribute to his wife and the peace, sueeounded by grief and love. So i listened again with a whole new perspective. Thanks again.

Classical is on one end of the music spectrum and with this magnificent performance AJ demonstrates her ability. Can she thrive on the opposite end of the music spectrum, say EDM? Hell yah. Like Song for A, she was featured in an EDM single, Above the Water. It's no cover, it's her original vocal. That girl is one versatile powerhouse.
First time I heard her sing this song I thought this can't be happening! This style and type of music as compared to what we normally associate with her doing blew the top of my head. This is not an easy song to do with any singer. Nico Cartosio obviously saw and heard something in her that made him think she would be perfect for this. This young lady just keeps surprising us every time she comes out with new music, be it a cover or an original. That's why I never tire of listening to her!

I must say I rather think she might have been spotted by Nico Cartosio by the invitation Angelina got to sing at Quinsy Jones 85 birthday consert in London in 2018. Nico recorded his album in London (Abbey Road studios) as Angelina gave her "Fly Me To The Moon" performance, honoring Quincy at the "O2 - Arena", late in summer that year. Nico`s album was released in April 2019, so AGT had nothing to do with this great collaboration. Still Angelina WAS in LA when she recorded this song, and the musical track was sendt to her. I do love that Angelina had this wonderful opportunity to reveal her ability for even this kind of music, and I do wish for more of this from her, even though I might not expect that for a few years still. As Angelina turns 25 - 30 + I guess she might alternate between genres like a kid plays her/his different toys. I surely do hope that will be the case.The main thing to me though, will be that her voice will be part of the world music enjoyment. I can barely imagine a day without enjoying her amazing voice and music.
How many beautiful voices are there? Hundreds? Thousands? And I wonder, why does a classical composer of the highest caliber like Nico Cartosio choose Angelina to dedicate to him the only sung track of his entire work? The only answer is that there is no one like Angelina

This song is actually poetry transformed into music but Angelina's voice is so eclectic that it completes and improves the equation of these two ingredients, she fascinates you and captivates you in every situation and is absolutely my favorite daily company, I don't get bored never of listen to her. Hi Andy, as I said the other day, enjoy the Angelina concert, hope you get some video if allowed... I am unable to travel anywhere due to my Wife's health, will likely never see her live unless she comes to SC. BTW, I did purchase White Roses for her concert through a link on James Theil's channel...as of Sunday there were already 135+ white roses being delivered to Angelina in New Hampshire....really hoping she is surprised.

This is a very difficult song to sing from so many aspects; the intricate and unusual melody, the unique and dated language, the complexity of the phrasing, the challenge of correctly interpreting, and expressing, the emotional impact of the lyrics, etc. This would be a challenge for any adult, fully trained and experienced professional artist. For a little girl to not only be specifically chosen by the composer to perform it, and for that little girl to do it so brilliantly, with such unparalleled perfection, is absolutely mind-shattering. But then, our Angelina was never just any little girl, was she...

Loved your reaction and truly appreciate that someone has finally said just how amazing this song being sung by a child really is. I think she was actually 12 when recorded. In my 81 years there have been many great female vocalists; BUT not one that, in my opinion, could have given anywhere close to the justice Angelina did with this song at even twice the age! And very few could at any age! Oh, and I am pretty sure Nico Cartosio knew of Angelina long before she was on AGT the champions!
NIco choose the greatest female vocalist to ever live and this is only one example of hundreds! The barefoot Princess of a thousand voices! There has never been another with the combination of talents that this young lady possesses.
Dear sir, I am an almost deaf elderly teutonic dude. Often I said and told others, tha Miss Angelina is FAR beyond her age. You know how she answered the question in that all-show, I f she felt 12 years old? YES I thought so. We are unbelievable lucky to witness this marvel, and I dearly hope we witness her for a long time. I for myself see from time to time the friendly gent with the scythe on his shoulder waving from far away, reminding me of our time on Earth. So lets enjoy the wonders while we are here. She was 12 when she did the recording. 😇🌺 Composed for her by Russian Classical Composer Nico Cartosio. The Only vocal on his album. He has explained his choice of this poem…”So, I remembered this beautiful poem by Robert Burns (1783) and wrote this song especially for Angelina. And she gave a sensual performance.”

I knew that this would rock your world and I am glad it is early in your AJ journey. I have listened to Every song she has performed, that I could find, including Andy's Playlist, and this is in my top 5 for sure. The whole 10 year stretch has been nothing but consistent amazement, astonishment, and always truly enthralling. Even returning to previous faces it's just as thrilling as the first time. Angelina was in LA when she recorded the lyrics for this. Nico laid so down the track and sent it to her. She did an unbelievable performance. What an honor for, yes 13 year old Angelina. Nico actually converted the poem specifically for Angelina. Although she did not write it, it’s not a cover. She really can sing anything in any style she chooses. Great reaction.
I'd add, it's been clear since I've followed her in 2015 the world will know her when she and her family decides, not the music industry. If there's any holding back, it's her and her families wish to protect Angelina as she's still a teen girl. Heck, she still has 8 inconceivable years until her voice is fully matured, I'm fine with letting extremely rare wine age properly😊

I need to know about Angelina's fascination with barley. Her cover of fields of gold by Sting, and the fan collab with Eva Cassidy of the same song are totally stunning. As a non professional, with no formal musical training, I appreciate both Lara and Angelina and a dude named Dan Vasc. This was my first time listening to it and it evoked memories of some of the old 1940's era black and white Hollywood musicals. Racking my memory trying to recall names of actors...Judy Garland comes to mind. That's what this made me think of. Indeed, a beautiful song.
I have said so many times. The point of difference between Angelina and other great singers is that they do what they do really well. Angelina can do it all. That is what a reaction should be like, you expressed so much of the awe that we all feel when we listen to this. I don't know how much communication there was between Angelina and Nico. The instrumentals were recorded in Abbey Road Studios in London, the vocal in LA. The poem includes terms from a old Scottish dialect, not easy to work with. The tracks on the album start in the cold hells, gradually rising, until this final track - here comes the enlightening. Nico stated that he needed a special voice that could portray this. He thought of Angelina, it must have been some time before the AGT Champions (recorded September 2019, broadcast January 2020). Angelina would have been the one to decide to do this, her team sort out all the logistics and so on, but she is very much in charge of the music she chooses to do.

I just wanted to thank you for your heartfelt reaction! Although Angelina has been featured on a song on the soundtrack of a Motion Picture, it was a cover of a pop song. I would much rather hear Angelina be used in something much more epic. I'm thinking of a Lawrence of Arabia, or a Doctor Zhivago, or even, as soooo many have suggested, a James Bond film. I think she could win an Academy Award for a truly great Motion Picture theme, or original song, where her voice is allowed to not only compliment the film, but even to transcend it. Cartosio found Angelina before AGT.. (the album was released in April 2019. Angelina must have been no older than 12 at time of recording). As I understand it he needed a childs voice to "lift the spirit" at the end of a rather sombre instrumental classical work and found Angelina "through the yellow pages" or someone pointed her out to him. 🙂.
An easy answer..as a pure old soul, she is now here to melt the world out of the Cold 🥶 hell. The notice of Nico. He needs this at the end of his beautiful instrumental compositions. The theme of the Album ✌️👍🥶 she's giving us hope for a world full of love 💕😊
If you find "Song For A" 🎵 impressive, check out "La Boheme" sung at the age of 11. Rumor has it that Angelina debated singing "La Boheme" in French, or 50/50 French/English. You'd better have a calming beverage before you react to AJ's interpretation of that classic! It's truly stunning!

This song is widely ignored by reactors, which is quite a pity. Maybe it's because you can't see it's a 13yo girl singing. It was Nico’s intention to have a music video produced with Angelina, but due to unknown circumstances it hasn't become reality. So Yozhik v Tumane, a very talented video artist and also a Angelina fan made this lyric video. It quickly became the standard YT video for this song. So if you're right in your foreshadowing he will be famous too because of this in the far future. 😉 IIRC Nico composed this track with Angelina's voice in mind, he did not search for an artist after finishing composing. The AGT connection is a nice idea, but doesn't fit the timeline - AGT The champions was prerecorded in late 2019 and aired in 2020, when Angelina was 14yo already. Neverteless, Nico deserves some credit too, it's a beautifull tune, and it should be because it's meant a opposite to the eight instrumental tracks before on his album. But whatever you decide where to put it into - the fact the voice that makes it a masterpiece belongs to an teenage jazz artist is unbelivable. IMHO it's only possible because of her long time expirience in music and a mind that's much older as her body is - Angelina politely answered on Skavlan's talkshow, when asked if she feels like an 12yo: "I feel like an 12yo only when I look on my passport". This explains a lot, I believe.

But even then, the surprise only comes when you SEE Angelina in the recording booth - 11 years old and acting as a crooner from a classic movie era long ago (which she rarely does, unfortunately). Hi Andy, as I said the other day, enjoy the Angelina concert, hope you get some video if allowed... I am unable to travel anywhere due to my Wife's health, will likely never see her live unless she comes to SC. BTW, I did purchase White Roses for her concert through a link on James Theil's channel...as of Sunday there were already 135+ white roses being delivered to Angelina in New Hampshire....really hoping she is surprised.

This is a very difficult song to sing from so many aspects; the intricate and unusual melody, the unique and dated language, the complexity of the phrasing, the challenge of correctly interpreting, and expressing, the emotional impact of the lyrics, etc. This would be a challenge for any adult, fully trained and experienced professional artist. For a little girl to not only be specifically chosen by the composer to perform it, and for that little girl to do it so brilliantly, with such unparalleled perfection, is absolutely mind-shattering. But then, our Angelina was never just any little girl, was she...

In my 81 years there have been many great female vocalists; BUT not one that, in my opinion, could have given anywhere close to the justice Angelina did with this song at even twice the age! And very few could at any age! Oh, and I am pretty sure Nico Cartosio knew of Angelina long before she was on AGT the champions!
NIco choose the greatest female vocalist to ever live and this is only one example of hundreds! The barefoot Princess of a thousand voices! There has never been another with the combination of talents that this young lady possesses.

This was my first time listening to it and it evoked memories of some of the old 1940's era black and white Hollywood musicals. Racking my memory trying to recall names of actors...Judy Garland comes to mind. That's what this made me think of. Indeed, a beautiful song.

Yeah..this one and Angelina's rendition of La Boheme set markers on the landscape of music that few others can attempt. Together they reveal another facet of her quiet genius.
That is what a reaction should be like, you expressed so much of the awe that we all feel when we listen to this.
I don't know how much communication there was between Angelina and Nico. The instrumentals were recorded in Abbey Road Studios in London, the vocal in LA. The poem includes terms from a old Scottish dialect, not easy to work with. The tracks on the album start in the cold hells, gradually rising, until this final track - here comes the enlightening. Nico stated that he needed a special voice that could portray this. He thought of Angelina, it must have been some time before the AGT Champions (recorded September 2019, broadcast January 2020).
Angelina would have been the one to decide to do this, her team sort out all the logistics and so on, but she is very much in charge of the music she chooses to do.
It has me crying my eyes out - I didn't know I had so many tears inside. And you were part of the problem! Our dear Robby Burns will be doing this too - merely a tearful thought.

I just wanted to thank you for your heartfelt reaction! Although Angelina has been featured on a song on the soundtrack of a Motion Picture, it was a cover of a pop song. I would much rather hear Angelina be used in something much more epic. I'm thinking of a Lawrence of Arabia, or a Doctor Zhivago, or even, as soooo many have suggested, a James Bond film. I think she could win an Academy Award for a truly great Motion Picture theme, or original song, where her voice is allowed to not only compliment the film, but even to transcend it. Cartosio found Angelina before AGT.. (the album was released in April 2019. Angelina must have been no older than 12 at time of recording). As I understand it he needed a childs voice to "lift the spirit" at the end of a rather sombre instrumental classical work and found Angelina "through the yellow pages" or someone pointed her out to him. 🙂.
An easy answer..as a pure old soul, she is now here to melt the world out of the Cold 🥶 hell. The notice of Nico. He needs this at the end of his beautiful instrumental compositions. The theme of the Album ✌️👍🥶 she's giving us hope for a world full of love 💕😊

This song is widely ignored by reactors, which is quite a pity. Maybe it's because you can't see it's a 13yo girl singing. It was Nico’s intention to have a music video produced with Angelina, but due to unknown circumstances it hasn't become reality.
So Yozhik v Tumane, a very talented video artist and also a Angelina fan made this lyric video. It quickly became the standard YT video for this song. So if you're right in your foreshadowing he will be famous too because of this in the far future. 😉
IIRC Nico composed this track with Angelina's voice in mind, he did not search for an artist after finishing composing. The AGT connection is a nice idea, but doesn't fit the timeline - AGT The champions was prerecorded in late 2019 and aired in 2020, when Angelina was 14yo already.
Neverteless, Nico deserves some credit too, it's a beautifull tune, and it should be because it's meant a opposite to the eight instrumental tracks before on his album. Here’s his description on the song:

To put this song into a genre isn’t easy. When asked, Alan Papier ranked it into Broadway musical, but agreed later it also could be Cinematic for it has both a Hollywood feel to it and a Classical feel to it.
But whatever you decide where to put it into - the fact the voice that makes it a masterpiece belongs to an teenage jazz artist is unbelivable. IMHO it's only possible because of her long time expirience in music and a mind that's much older as her body is - Angelina politely answered on Skavlan's talkshow, when asked if she feels like an 12yo: "I feel like an 12yo only when I look on my passport". This explains a lot, I believe.
