Of course, da blue-eyes were a dead give away, & I too have the VERY same shade of blue-eye color myself!
On the whirlpool, you can do a manual soak. Add clothes in the washer, add in oxiclean, then let the machine sense the load. I try to keep temperature warm to hot and wash the clothes inside out. Then you let the machine go to wash mode and that’s when you pause the machine. Now make sure not to open the lid of the machine. I left my load in overnight this way.
Hello. I just bought this kind of machine and thinking if i could soak the garments first in a tub overnight then put it in the machine and do a regular wash cycle?

My only question is, since the water seems to drain after the soak cycle, do you re-add detergent for the wash cycle?

Yes you can pause the soak program and let the garments soak as long as you want then start up again when you're ready to do a wash cycle
