Its such a cliche that people outside India put the tag of religion on Indian cultures because they have for thousands of years grown up with a type of god, but in India there never has been a religion, its just a way of life to connect to the higher possiblities.
It will always be difficult for ppl outside India to encapsulate what the is happening here and why its happening.

He is a man of science and loves paranormal, sci-fi ideas but it's just human preached ideas at the end of the day. So there will be missing enthusiasm when you already brainstormed beforehand. Enthusiasm will come naturally when stuff comes out worthy enough.

13:53 classic example for americans about respecting boundaries of freedom would be...
you go on a deer hunt, you shot the deer and when you find it, you give that deer a quick death rather than suffer in agony and pain.
which is why every time someone is sentence to death even by law there is always a hindu priest or father or maulana, which ever religion the criminal believes in and asked for the prayer before his/her death.
if you say you are atheist they would call a hindu priest anyway.

Btw, the 14 lokas are just different destinations based on one's karma, actions.
All these 14 planes are also considered to be the part of the material realm, and they are not spiritual realms. The heavenly lokas above the Bhu loka are still temporary destinations for us similar to the hellish planes below. They are not the ultimate destinations as after spending our karma we return back to earthly plane, to continue our journey as part of our birth, death, rebirth cycle. Only when we break free of this cycle, we go beyond these 14 planes and attain liberation or Moksha which is the spiritual plane, beyond all that exists.
So, ultimately, in vedic traditions, it is concluded that both good karma (which elevates out consciousness to higher planes) or bad karma (which degrades our consciousness to lower planes), both are not ideal for anyone.
Obviously, Good karma is recommended over bad karma, good over evil, but ultimately, neither good karma not bad karma are the ultimate goal in one's spiritual journey, nor elevating to higher planes or to the highest plane is the primary goal.
The earthly plane that we live in (Bhu loka) is said to be balanced and conducive for spiritual growth and enquiry and advancement, however that only happens when one is focused on their goal and not distracted by world materialistic allurements.
The ultimate goal of spiritual journey is "liberation" or "moksha" i.e., being liberated from all that is non-spiritual, and go BEYOND these 14 lokas. THIS IS THE MAIN GOAL.
Because ultimately, you do good deeds, go to the higher planes, enjoy and return... We'll still be in this cycle of birth, death and rebirth.
But attaining liberation or moksha releases us from the cycle of birth and death. That's the ultimate goal of a jiva according to Vedic traditions.
For this the highest level of recommendation is to perform good karma but by spiritualizing them, so in short, convert good karma into spiritual while performing them. Spiritual karma doesn't add any additional good karma but it clears all the karma balance good/bad in our account. And when all our good/bad karma account becomes zero, we'll attain liberation or Moksha.
To put it short. Spiritualizing one's good deeds and then performing them is recommended over just doing good deeds and bad deeds (which harm disrupt others, people, beings, environment) are discouraged.
Spiritualizing one's good deeds is done by performing those activities by being devoid of attachment to tha activity and also not having sny attachment to the result of that activity and also not having any expectations or material desires through those activities. By doing good deeds in such a consciousness, one can spiritualize their activities and thus, actually elevate spiritually towards attaining liberation, rather than just elevating our good karma to attain higher planes which are also temporary destinations for us.

Dont think heaven or hell as a different physical realm..it's rather a sensory experience and a state of mind. The idea is, if you're a crappy person in this life and inflict pain and suffering..you will become a crappier person in the next life, and will have to endure the same suffering thereby having a hellish life/experience. On the other hand, doing good makes you feel good..elevates your consciousness and you feel at ease and bliss for the rest of your life which is nothing but a heavenly experience.

jaby i hope while you watch this you also understand that 'puranas' were written much later as hinduism progressed & as it transitioned into a ritualistic religion from being a way of living. so 'garud purana' is a later development by sages when they started to make hinduism more ritualistic and caste based where the priests benefited. This is NOT the main essence of hindu afterlife but a perspective ONLY. this is when hinduism was getting towards a more commercial divisive stage.

There were many many sages throughout history who have peer reviewed these types of things by giving similar statements and standing by them even when their physical body was tortured to death. There were and There Are human beings who have uplifted themselves from this planet of consciousness to upper levels of consciousness. If you want proof then try yourself.
It can't be proven to you by others, others can give guidance, but can not prove it to you. It is like a blind person saying that there is only darkness, which is that blind person's truth but it is not the absolute truth. Until you gain the sight, you can't see. Until you gain a level of consciousness, you can't experience other planets.

*Word of caution:* Please note that certain sect of Hinduism hold puranas at a special place. Particularly those who follow dualistic interpretation (Dvaita) of Hinduism. Dualism is similar to Christianity where God is omnipresent, omnipotent, and omniscient and human beings are his creation. Only major difference is in Christianity the God doesn't have form but in Indian dualism, God has a specific form of Krishna.
Indian major religious text books are as follows:
    1. Vedas, which are believed to be written in 2000bc
    2. Upanishads, there are 108 of them, which were written between 2000bc and 600bc
    3. Bhagavad gita, Mahabharata, ramayana, which were written and edited between 600bc and 500ad.
    4. Puranas, which were written and edited in 1st to 12th century ad.
Hinduism is admired because of Upanishads, which discusses nature of god and us. Explores meaning of life in various forms. Bhagavadgita is essentially Upanishads in teaching form. Ramayana is a story of perfect and complete person Rama, telling us how to be. Mahabharata is the story of day today men, telling us how not to be. Both Ramayana and Mahabharata are story form of Upanishads.
Caste system believed to have emerged between 1st century bc and 1st century ad. It became concrete during Gupta period (5th century ad). So, many puranas which were written during these periods have problematic suggestions as well. So, I suggest sticking to prior ones if you are interested in exploring Hinduism.

World is subject - object complex and mind is the tool for that. There is nothing that is outside of mind learning. Even belief need a book or verbal information and knowledge. What Hindu scriptures says is if you want to experience what is beyond then purify yourself by youu deed, not just talk and preach, but be that purified soul.
So, it is not religion but dharma , as a human being it is your duty (dharma).
    Hinduism is dharma.
    Religion is book religion.

The transition of the soul from one body to another is like a software used in different hardwares.
Some software cannot work in absolute hardware due to technology default similarly the soul cannot work in a faulty body absorbing substandard nutrition.
Similarly if the software gets corrupted it crashes the hardware so in Hinduism firewalls are erected so that viruses cannot infect the original software.
This firewall is called discipline. There are many branches of academic development in science hence the number of gods in the religion called Hinduism.
All Hindus acknowledge the supreme being as a collection of souls which are emotionless and formless them that cannot be described.

I don't know how much this guru makes sense.. But the essence of sanatana dharma.. Is soul evolution.. The soul gets multiple chances.. Of rebirth to cleanse itself of bad karmas.. Until it attains moksha.. Or detachment from this cycle of rebirths.. To then become free and become one with brahman.. Or mother field of consciousness.. Depending on the karma's accumulated... The rebirths happen in better or worse places.. With a chance again to kind of work on the karma's.. And yama.. The much malgnied god of death.. Is essentially just an escort.. Of the soul.. Once it leaves the body.. To escort it and park it in an astral layer.. Suiting the karmic baggage at the end of that particular cylce. This concept of hell through which soul goes through is nonsense.. The soul travels through life experiences of the bodies it takes physical form in.. To have a chance at betterment. Hell is the life.. Through which we go through.. With a chance of helping our soul in its journey to moksha
