Great Adventure has been a major testing ground for the new/old Six Flags recently; free lockers at Toro, first new age Vekoma and now a reservation system!
True but they’re not a testing ground for coaster prototypes.
I’ve Heard Extremely Popular Coasters with One Train Ops had to add Boarding Passes/Reserve Times is to Address the Significantly Reduce Thought and I give the Park a lot of Credit for doing So
I find it completely unacceptable how they’re only running one train on Superman, especially with these insane crowds during Fright Fest.
@@adamdragster it physically cannot run with 2 as of right now
At least they have the ride open so be grateful for that. With shipping delays, lead/manufacturer times, it’s also possible they’re still waiting on parts for the other train.

Im really glad theyre testing it out, since superman is on one train and that line gets insane... i hope they dont use it as an excuse to keep other rides on 1 train though.

The issue with Superman is that it is physically incapable of running 2 trains as of right now(except for 10/10 apparently.) Everytime it runs 2 trains it stops on the lift hill. My best guess is when it chassis downs and goes on the lift hill it draws max power and the power supply just dies. It doesn’t happen with 1 train
Maybe. I'd need to see schematics but I wouldn't imagine there being a obsessively large power draw when the train is in the station so I don't understand why having to trains would have anything to do with it as there's not a lot of power draw besides for when it's on the lift Hill
@@gunsmoke132 8000 pounds of force is required for the ride to go in the running position to the station position. So when that pump or whatever makes the ride chassis down is whatever the cause is
I would reccomend watching eltororyans problematic roller coaster video on Superman. That’s where I get my knowledge from

Some additional info:
Reservation slots are 30 minute windows. If you fail to ride within your designated time slot, the reservation automatically cancels. Flash Pass and ADA DO NOT have to make reservations.

Well, i do understand because both the ride closing for the good majority of the season and the fact that fright fest can be packed on weekends and when i went on Friday the 8th, there was a pretty lengthy tine
it closed in mid-late august, 2 months doesn’t seem like season majority to me.
@vrryan6 well haven't been to six flags for the majority of the year, so I probably would't haveve known. But thank for the correction
I don't mind this at all assuming it works as well as it does at Disney World. Join the VQ, enjoy the rest of the park/rides, then when your time comes ride superman with minimal wait.
I love GA. I absolutely LOVE it. But this season has been so confusing. Some of the decisions and outcomes….. eh. I expected much much more this season especially.

I hate this new system I don’t like having to plan a ride time I just want to ride what I want and enjoy the day not schedule things
They stole this idea from Disney because Disney used to do it on TRON Lightcycle Run and still use it on Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind.
