  • This video shows the progress made on the Regional Rail Link project comparing a driver's point of view between May 2014 (on the left) with October 2009 (on the right).
    The video follows the rail line from the inner city through Footscray and Sunshine and out along the Ballarat line to Deer Park.
    Along the way you can see:
    the two new dedicated Regional Rail Link tracks built in the rail corridor
    the widened and rebuilt bridges in Footscray (such as Hopkins Street, Nicholson Street, and Albert Street).
    the changes to Footscray, West Footscray and Sunshine stations
    the removed level crossing at Anderson Road, Sunshine
    the new Christies Road extension and bridge
