Bought a sample of Bois Du Portugal for my father a couple months back based on your review. A little too gentlemanly for me at this moment but my father loves it. Lovely powdery-creamy slightly woody scent.

Cracking vid mate, just personally not a fan of creed, i only currently have (snore) Aventus, but my first ever 2 niche frags were actually creed about 10 years ago, GIT & M.I, I enjoyed them while i had them but the price and them not performing any better than average designer frags just put me off buying them again.
Bois Du Portugal encompasses the phrase "Simplicity of a greatest genius". BDP is my favourite Creed and my favourite fragrance! Royal Oud is my second. But Viking should've been here too IMHO.
Nobody mentioned Himalaya, goes in my top 3 Creeds, beautifuly crafted scent, not even in the comments ... this is beyond me!?!?!? Royal Oud, Green Irish Tweed, Bois Du Portugal, Spice & Wood and Royal Mayfair are good enough. I hope to try Sublime Vanille and Jardin d'Amalfi.
@@MrSmelly1977 when I first tried it all that time ago (when everyone was getting the little bottles and us mortals had to go to John Lewis) I was left a bit confused but I've been through around 50ml now and had some great times with it ..I've worked it out as a classy fougere with a unique peppermint twist ..and the warm salty ambergris is prominent in this which I adore ..it's currently in great formulation and I've received a few compliments , one being at a wedding from a nice lady at the bar. Overall I think it's a real winner
If anybody is wondering it's very close to Creed's Bois du Portual... only better in my opinion. I own both and although they are like 90% the same for the first hour. They become 99% the same on the dry down. Creed does last a bit longer on skin. But on the shirt, they both easily last all day.
All great Creed choices, Mr. Smelly. That Erolfa is something special - just wish it would project a little stronger. I only own 5 Creeds, but at the top is Viking for sure, followed by an old favorite that Ive brought up before - Vetiver Geranium (masterpiece). Let's Project!!! 💨💨💨💨

Interesting, well reasoned and explained list of scents from the freshie master. My longish-lasting Erolfa "expression" makes me scoff at other aquatics I've smelt - so great I kept buying more rather than modern-sweet designer options I sample. Shout out for Jardin d'Amalfi: unisex / fem to my nose w Italian spice vibe to go with a great apple note, citruses - not list worthy owing to poor performance & high price - but great smell. Wish Tabarome lasted too (and I could pick up the ginger). Great intro, content, Bois du Portugal recommendation. Finally have Acqua di Parma samples on way; stoked to try more Smelly sanctioned scents.

Yeah, Royal Mayfair is in top 5. And, I am a coconut freak when it comes to fragrances. So, I got 2 bottles of Gorse after seeing your review on it. Thanks, my man. I spray Gorse and VIW heavily in summer.
Millesime Imperial smells the same as Sean John Unforgivable. So if you're looking for a cheap designer alternative give it a try it smells quite close
I'm getting ready to buy Creed Bois du Portugal. Huge Frank Sinatra fan here so that was a major selling point. My signature scent has been Creed Tabarome but you won't review it lol. Maybe because it was my first creed and I always got compliments from it. Lately I get 2nd most from Savage and GIT. My 2nd favorite was Gucci Envy but it's gone =(....I'm hoping that Creed Bois Du Portugal will be as good as Envy.
Just got into Creed fragrances. My issue is they're so expensive yet my go to scents are usually safe designer ones for a date. Creed can be very divisive.
Still awaiting my samples of Santal, Vetiver, and Neroli. In the meantime, this is my 1-month-old-fragrance-nose ranking: 1. Aventus (I know, I know) 2. Royal Oud 3. Virgin Island Water 4. Bois Du Portugal (lovely to me, but has the capacity to actively repel others) 5. Green Irish Tweed (a crime to mention in the same sentence with Cool Water brofragrance) 6. Himalaya 7. Erolfa 8. Viking 9. Millesime Imperial (the Creedy saltmelon ambergris thing works for some, but I find it uninteresting/slightly conflicting) 10. Silver Mountain Water (a Creedy CK One-esque linen spray, minus the powder... ok whatever) 11. Spice and Wood (too peppery birchy to my nose... borderline irritating) 12. Tabarome Millesime (?) 13. Royal Mayfair (sorry... will have to give this another go per your encouragement) 14. Royal Water (too medicinal... will have to try again later)
Aventus to me is not that great. I know it's a crowd pleaser, but it doesn't have much creativity for my liking. Tabarome is the best one to me, but you have to know how to pull off fall colors in your wardrobe to pull it off in more casual settings.
Since the latest 40 minute Creed video with Smurfy 😂😂 I’ll be watching everyone’s old Creed videos 😂 a year ago Aventus would have been probably my number 2 but being objective and just judging the scents it would probably be number 5-6 for me (VIW, Erolfa, Royal Oud definitely) would clearly be in front of Aventus for me and maybe even Aventus Cologne 🙈🙈 Bois Du Portugal also.

I think erolfa smells like damp drift wood in the humid sun with smells of sticky cantelope on your fingers as you breathe in the salty sea air. Where as milliseme imperial smells like dry musky sea salt. I imagine someone wearing MI with a gold chain and there hairy chest is exposed through there Aloha shirt
Just received my bottle yesterday and I am starting to feel the same way! The opening can be a turn-off BUT I am 5 hours into today's wearing and the dry-down off my skin seems to be a beautiful rose and orange combination; Lovely!

Spices and wood is sooo good, it's one of my favourites. The dry down is so classy and sensual at the same time!
SilverPanos poor performance though. Probably partly due to no ambergris. I can see why it’s not as popular as Aventus. It’s simply not as good.

it's your imagination. similar drags, but erolfa is more complex and unique. Millesime Imperial is more universally likeable tho.
Aventus, GIT, VIW, but BdP...no way, my wife compares it to “Bluegrass” a 1930’s fragrance her grandmother use to wear.
