This young elephant met an unfortunate situation, and it is a critical one. The train has not been able to stop at all as it has happened at night with limited visibility. However, this young elephant was somewhat lucky to survive such a mishap. Wildlife department was informed about this situation, and they quickly rushed in and relocated this young one to a place where they can continue their treatment plans until its complete recovery.

As much as I’m grateful to the wildlife team trying to help, it doesn’t seem right to keep this animal on its feet when it’s just been slammed by a train. Poor thing can’t stand. Am sure they know what they’re doing and I don’t mean to be critical, questions raised more out of concern at what I’m seeing which is very distressing. Some here say they want to see a part 2 and the conclusion to this elephant’s terrible injuries, that would be appreciated. Huge Thanks for all you do for these majestic beautiful and gentle giants

Thank god they finally got a woman in there. This is the first video of dozens from this station where I’ve seen actual compassion. I hope they continue to update and not just end the storyline like they usually do. I’m hopefully for this elephant and this station.
Very unfair. This reality. These guys run from place to place doing their best; there are few resources apart from the goodwill of locals. Compassion is in their dedication and actions.
That is your opinion. Some people are narrow minded and believe everything they see or are told. You are most likely one of those dogmatics, probably religious as well, I would guess. I donate to the organization I believe in. I am not alone with my opinion on this matter. Try it, go to any other one if their videos and see if there are any similarities in remarks. I bet you’d be surprised. Just don’t believe because I said it, I’m not your savior.
These are not promotional videos to show off compassion or anything. These are real life duties /works carried out by Sri Lankan wild life conservation department (funded by public tax money paid by Sri Lankan people) to protect wild animals. These animals are protected by SL law

These farmers need become better shots instead of leaving these things half alive everywhere. If they would learn where to shoot , right through the brain. The job would get done . Instead these things wander around begging for sympathy and wasting money and resources on their useless rescue. They need to stay away from people crops.
