As most of you probably know, CBS has cancelled MacGyver - out of nowhere, and without any obvious justification. It seemed like a sure-fire renewal, every prediction site had it in the "sure to be renewed" category, it's ratings are consistent, it's beat out the competition in it's timeslot 13 weeks in a row. A toxic and abusive showrunner was fired between seasons 4 and 5 and was replaced by a WOC who has had to manage a Frankenstein season of leftover episodes, and only got 5 of her own. The new showrunner and the new writing team deserves time to tell the story they set out to tell this season, and MacRiley? Well MacRiley deserves to START. For that we need a season 6.
