      I'll have to think on that one. Groups are pretty scary. I don't want to lead to anyone messing up their ODOO instance.

    Having to restudy this video. Changes from 16 > 17 have broken our access restrictions that worked fine in 16!!! Need to find a different way to restrict access to contacts, going to try your method! Thanks Andrew!

    The partner model is tricky for sure. You can't print a delivery/packing slip without having access to it but at the same time you don't necessarily want the shipping guy to be able to change the address or even create a new contact on the fly accidentally. I really wish Odoo had more granularity to the stock user groups. Most apps only have one or two levels. Just this week I had my web guy trying to beautify our job postings but he needed admin rights to recruiting to do it! My web guy needs admin rights to recruiting, what?!?!? I could go on and on....

      Hahahaha...yep, groups are probably one of the most difficult areas. You have to test it pretty thoroughly to make sure you're not causing issues for anyone.
