    Q&a: motyl gear 75w90 Vs motul gear 300 75w90. What is best for Subaru gear box?

    Do you have any aftermarket parts for performance/ has your car been tuned?

    • @00Lach
      @00Lach  3 года назад +1

      Hey mate, as far as engine performance goes, I'm only kitted out with a full 3 inch turbo back exhaust, 3 port boost solenoid and a dyno tune to 16psi boost. So it's a nice little kick above stock power

    Do you have to bleed the clutch after putting in gearbox oil in

    • @00Lach
      @00Lach  6 месяцев назад

      No, this has nothing to do with the clutch

    Q&A: whenever im driving and i get in it when im in 5th gear its like my gear keeps slipping and it smells like rubber it burning. Is that a clutch or transmission problem?

    • @username8644
      @username8644 Год назад +2

      That smell is typically the clutch. Idk if the transmission smells the same, but I know for certain that smell you described is how the clutch smells.

    Question do you read the transmission fluid dipstick before you changed the fluid? What did it read at before vs after ? And when you did take the reading was the car warm, or cold, or warm with the engine on? My 2012 wrx transmission fluid reads low. I did take a cold reading . Let me know thank you. No leaks, just got the car.

      Hey mate I didn't read the level but I would say you take it when it's cold. I would say maybe change it over if you feel like it might be lower than its threshold.

      My transmission fluid also reads low when its cold, the manual (in my 2007 wrx) says to check the level when its at operating temperature, when I check it at operating temperature it hits the full mark.

      Transmission should be checked at operating temps. The reason I say this is because when you do the oil change for the transmission, part of the procedure is letting it warm up to operating temps and then topping off the oil until it reaches the max on the dip stick. So that means when the oil was added, it was brought to full while the transmission was at operating temps.
