Loved that Carley lost this one 🤣. Hey mad/disappointed face reminded me of a spoiled child when told no. Serves as a lesson. Not everything will go your way.
I think Carley's read of how Tempest was sharing his information was spot on, I was thinking the same thing. It felt like he was just sharing enough information to prove that he was the Amnesiac without any actual interest in capitalizing on being the Amnesiac to try to win. That always seems like one of the easiest to spot tells of an evil player, when they are so passive about sharing their information. A real Amnesiac you would expect to be talking about what their ability COULD be, not simply reading off a list of things it wasn't.
But this was the exact reason Tom was so sus as well, noone knew his role until the exact point where he conveniently had the game solving role. Tempest at least had time to build their story and the amnesiac tends to get that benefit of the doubt because they don't know their roll, at least to start with
Honestly. Take this with a grain of salt because we obviously knew Tempest's role to begin with. But Amnesiac is not a role I really care for and I wouldn't put any real interest into trying to figure it out and capitalize on it either. Which makes the way Tempest did it believable for me. Sure it's a role thta seems so epic when somebody figures out their power and uses it to solve the game. But chances of figuring out the power unless you know the Storytellers well enough to predict the type of abilities they will give is just so very low that it's just shots in the dark and I'd probably just be setting myself up to be offed immediately rather than trying to figure it out in most games (and quite likely be denied being killed off because so many value the hope of the amnesiac figuring it out). So it's not just a tell of an evil player being easy to spot. There are some of us that could be genuine and still not get invested in that role and what some feel the Amnesiac should be expected to do or talk about be damned really.
@@Quandry1 Since the Amnesiac relies heavily on the story teller, results may vary, but a good ST would make the ability something that could reasonably be figured out my a player who knows how to ask good questions. If the player makes really specific shots in the dark like "Does my ability tell me if my living neighbor is a minion" then they only remove one possibility out of thousands. Like playing 20 questions, or Guess Who or anything similar, each question should be chopping off about half of all the ideas you can think of. "Does my ability involve players' roles?" If yes you have a place to start narrowing, if no you've eliminated an entire category of things it could be.
@@aGoshDarnTravesty even with that approach the chances are low. Though I am fully aware of it you ignore that you get an extremely limited number of questions to do it in. Having even just 4 or 5 questions to guess it is doing pretty dang good but you have to hope to even get that many usually, and if you can't get it in just 2 or 3 the info may be losing value even if you figure it out.
Whether or not you believe the amnesiac is a fun role to play, I agree that this was the main weakness of Tempest's bluff this game. He never tried to brainstorm with the town his role, and even after he claimed, he didn't ask the town for input on what he should ask despite basically being completely lost based on his previous guesses. This is very sus imo. That being said, the decisiveness to kill the king knowing that it's still tom's word against his in final 3 more than made up for his semi-flawed amne bluff.
It's great to see Carley back and ready to dismantle the entire game once more! Credit to Tempest for keeping everything together there and making an argument that sounded very reasonable on the final day, he's always seemed like a very methodical player and I think the Demon role really worked out for him.
Tom gave a pretty thorough reasoning for Blair being the demon, was then told that Blair was in fact the demon, and then swiftly decided to nominate Tempest (and he was right of course). That's what the game does to you.
The fact that no one caught it when Jon said "does the vote end with tom?" when the vote was on tom. obviously he wanted to know so he could put his hand up at the last minute.
I enjoyed Tempest as the demon. Very good play, very convincing. Hope to see him play more often. Dom always makes me laugh. He's probably best cast as a good alignment character because everyone's always so suspicious of him anyway that it's more fun that way. John clearly shines best as a good character; when he's made evil his heart doesn't seem to be in it. 🙃
2 games in a row Jon, as an evil, came out against himself 😂 First time: knew he was evil, convinced he wasn't evil, told everyone he was evil. Second time: didn't know he was evil, convinced he wasn't evil, told everyone if his power didn't work to kill him 🤣😂🤣
Tom and Ben at the helm as the storytellers is a classic duo and I love the knowledge they bring to the role. But very much enjoy seeing other such as Laurie and in this case Adam take a crack at it as well.
@@eazyleezy85 I kinda agree and disagree, I agree that he is very chill, which I think is good because you need some people who are chill to counter all the louder chaotic people.
I really like Tom as a player in most games, just not in BOTC. He has stated multiple times that he doesn't like to outright lie in the game, which is really bad when he's evil and not as entertaining as it could be with another player instead when he's good.
Incredible from Tempest. So glad he got the win at the end. Also I admire the "Picked the wrong week to quit smoking" Airplane reference from Sir Dom Allen.
Absolutely. He read as incredibly good to everyone but Carley for the entire game, even when defending himself at the end, when we've seen GOOD player begin to sound evil. All the credit in the world.
Congrats on a brilliant evil team win! I wonder if it might have been more comfortable for Tempest to coordinate kills more closely with Jon to keep the lycanthrope bluff going and then star pass to him at some point after convincing everyone the amnesiac wasn't worth keeping in and should be the lyc target, leaving a Jon with a believably functional power who the townspeople would think could control the night deaths.
Always love to see Dom in these games. Tempest and his last speech was too good to not got the win. Also, lover Adam as a storyteller, his input on the storyteller aspects was on point and made it feel callobrative with Daddy Ben
Adam is an amazing co-ST. He manages to propose all the worlds the players think might happen and put suspicion accordingly. Excellent hosting and understanding of the game. Also the effort that went into crafting his poems every single day should not be overlooked.
tempests' only blunder is absolutely why it's okay to usually back the evil team as a storyteller! ONE missed kill and he almost lost it all. good can afford to make plenty of mistakes but just one can cost everything for the evil team! but by god did he claw it back masterfully. extremely deserved win
This was soooo awesome! Sometimes, less is more i guess and Tempest played masterfully! Also, was thinking Jon screwed up by not protesting more. But the fact that he did not protest ended up convinving everyone he was good and that helped at the end as well.
I don't think there was any actual info pointing to Tempest. There was Blair's Noble ping which pointed to Carley, Dom or Tom (wrong as she was made drunk by Dom) and her Lycanthrope attacks failed as both drunk and poisoned, Mara's Noble ping which pointed to Dom, Tom and Jon (if they work out Jon is marionette which no one suspected then that points to Tempest), Sullivan was always good (could of been made evil at any point but never was so making Tempest look good), Tempest claimed amnesiac and never worked it out (was demon by still), Jon's Lycanthrope attacks all failed resulting in people thinking he was drunk, Tom's Drunk Choirboy pointed to Blair, Brooke was Sweetheart so no info, Dom was Sailor so messing with other people's info, and finally Carley's king info got Imp which while true didn't help anyone. If I was in this game I would of gone with Tom as demon.
Well, Sullivan could have been evil and he just wouldn't have said anything. But yeah, there wasn't any evidence to point toward Tempest *or* Tom. Everything was circumstantial and social. And on that front, Tom was more suspicious as he kept quiet to everyone, even the King, until the 11th hour. Tempest wasn't in the clear though, because his (bogus) ability didn't seem earnest.
Extremely impressed with Tempest in this game despite his couple of slip-ups! I’m so sad that now I’ve watched every NRB Blood on the Clocktower video over the past two weeks, what on earth am I going to listen to while I work now?!
All of Tempest's amnesiac 'guesses' were powers that already existed in the game. Curious that nobody pointed that out, as storytellers have thus far only created novel powers.
Ben always reiterates that to us, but I dont think its repeated that much to the players with every script. Unless a player gets and plays Ben's amnesiac they may not be sure how he chooses to run it
@@PlayerXIII i think this is it. regardless of the actual power, in a world where tempest was the amnesiac, he could have asked those questions even though they would have been poor to ask
Came here to say that too. She has been in Tempest’s spot before though and won, so fair play. Great to see her back and hats off to Tempest. Being believable is everything in this game and he was.
Yeah I noticed that too. Seems like a poor loser. Everybody else was laughing and having a good time. And she sat there being pissy because she lost. Bad sport.
@fprosk it's not based on one clip. I've watched every episode she has been on. And that is what I've picked up from her. She acts like that every time she loses or people don't listen to her.
I'm so glad Tempest won this one. He played super well especially considering he had no way of knowing that the choir boy was drunk, and letting Jon run wild knowing he was super unlikely to get and share game-solving info was a masterstroke. Many little pieces that he arranged just right all game to keep the heat off just long enough. I'm shocked that the other players didn't say anything about his guesses being very specific and very close to existing roles, I would have thought that the good players would have tried to help him ask better questions but they didn't. And as much as I respect Carley's logical reasoning in a lot of these games, she seemed lost in this one, and tried to pin it on Tempest based only on vibes. Those wins never feel deserved, and I'm glad the town outvoted her.
I think tempest had the benefit of not being as experienced, so his guesses being close to actual roles makes sense, as does him not finding out his actual role. I think he played really well and deserved it.
Great seeing Tempest having fun because he clearly wasn’t enjoying the 15 player game. It’s always awesome seeing players give a game another shot and do a full 180.
@@eazyleezy85 yeah I love Carley but she hates losing. Especially when she told everyone Tempest was the Imp and they didn't believe her. To not be trusted can really hurt. I guess she's just too good for people to believe she's telling the truth.
@@eazyleezy85 to be fair to her, this isn't the first time she figured everything out and then basically got ignored at the end to lose. That has to be frustrating after awhile.
Being able to bluff Amnesiac opens up so many possibilities that I really wish Tempest had had more fun with it. With this particular venue and cast of players, I would have metagamed and made up something ridiculous that Ben and Adam would believably subject someone to, instead of a generic Clocktower-style townsfolk ability. My immediate thought was night 1, tell someone you received "Undertaker". It's on the script, it sounds believable, whoever you tell can roll with that and start making guesses and spreading gossip. Maybe there's an undertaker in play. Maybe undertaker is a demon bluff. Maybe the undertaker is a marionette. Then you throw a curveball and say that night 2 you received a "Bautista" and send all the townsfolk down the rabbit hole.
I have a lot of respect for how good Carley is at this game, but at the same time since she is so good, I can't help but smile when a relatively poor player like Tempest beats her and she has the gloomy facial expression at the end of the game.
YES! A NEW 1! ❤ I've been binge-rewatching all the other BOtC episodes the past few days and have got thru at least 10 so a new episode on top of that is great 👍
Yet another exciting & tense game ! Awesome seeing Tempest's win, he played it very well especially with Jon as such a great marionette minion. 😄 Really cool seeing Mara join the group, she had a great game and would be great to see her in future BotC games with No Rolls Barred. 😊 It was a fantastic game overall I just feel for Carley (so happy she's back ! 😊) who once again had the game figured out but no-one wanted to believe it. It's happened multiple times & I imagine it would be very frustrating as a player so hopefully she's ok after it all. 😅 Fingers crossed her words of wisdom will be heard in future games to lead good to a win. 🥺 Also it's always a pleasure to see Ben as the storyteller & Adam being a great partner-in-crime with storytelling. 😊 I really enjoy hearing their insight into the game & the many potentials that could occur. 😊
Problem is, Carly has been SO convincing in the past as a demon/minion that there will always be a suspicion when she plays - and that’s great for us viewers!
Also, this time, she had no real evidence to persuade people away from an alternative view. She was accurate enough, but it required a lot of assumptions. I understand why it was doubted - especially as I feel Tom played his hands too close to his chest this game
One of the things I loved the most out of this game was the fact that Tempest is still a relatively new player. Thing is, the more games you play, the less likely you are to pull off insane mind blowing plays like that, specially as the Demon. It brings me joy to see someone turn the game back around when so close to certain doom on one last night XD
Two comment Charlie (No one likes a two comment Charlie.) here with another note: Tempest's reasoning of wanting to take the game into his own hands is extremely solid, prevents him from being screwed with later, and is just respectable. Love to see it.
I was already excited by another BOTC game, and then Adam started making Poe references, and now I'm positively giddy 😁 Poe's one of my favorite classic authors, and The Raven is one of my favorite poems. Thank you, Adam, for brightening my day even more 😍 ...now I'll continue to the actual game part of the video 😅 *EDIT* I hope Brooke felt better soon after this! But also, I appreciate her filming this despite being sick, because her brain fog is immediately making things far more interesting 😂 *EDIT* The conversation between Tom "DM-ST" Burgess and Sullivan "Bit Chaser/Cult Leader" Beau Brown is absolutely what I need more of in my life 😂 *EDIT* "You need at least 5 feet between your ball pit and your casual sex pit." Don't mind me, just taking notes...
i understand carley's frustration, but there wasn't much evidence to pin tempest besides her gut feelings. she was being a bit of a sore loser tbh when she's gotten one over on other players in the same way
Right? Crazy how I didnt notice this the first time I watched these, I'm rewatching them all and for some reason this one in particular she has a real stinker of a face going on when the game ended, even after the grimoire reveal and then everyone starts laughing at the comedy bits, though she did muster a smile at the end.
Tempest played so so so good this game! I've never seen Tempest play before and it was just amazing to watch. Well deserved win, I was cheering for him to win the whole game!
I was thinking that was a tell too, 100%. But the confusing thing for the players is he was super loud on day 1 and 2 before he knew he was evil, so he's naturally giving off conflicting tells. Also first impressions are so important the good tells (which were right at the time) probably stuck in people's minds more, as multiple goods said at the end of the game.
I mean, aren't most of them roleplayers? I know Tom and Laurie are big D&Ders, and a bunch of NRB were part of that wrestling RPG that predated this channel...
I am really glad that tempest enjoyed himself this game. He have had some games lately where he have seen a bit out of it. But he played really well here and you love to see it. Also loved that Blair got so pissed at Dom in the beginning that she wanted him to die, despite thinking that he was the sailor.
This script would be so crazy if the minion was a baron, you get 4 outsiders 3 of which don’t know they’re outsiders. Then the imp convinces an outsider neighbor they’re the marionette, AND there’s a lunatic.

Dom has officially won the best lone town square moment with his fourth wall breaking rant
Agreed, not enough comments mention that part!:P
Dom, John & Sully are my personal dream team. It’s a great video already when 1 or 2 of them are present, but when all 3 are together it’s the best.
@@LucyTheBox totally. and the one featured sully as the mayor.

“John that is not the kind of demon I am” one of the funniest lines I’ve heard in this series so far
The moment Carley is back, Adam is sitting in the Storyteller Chair. Coincidence? I think not
#AdamFearsCarley
Honestly I'm just happy anytime Tom gets to play.
Gotta keep them apart for a while otherwise the constant rematch will exhaust the interest. Smart long term booking.
He storytold last game as well… so it seems like Tom wants to play is what I’m getting.
@@劉智顥yeah can't overuse that rivalry.
Plus it lets Tom play when they switch the ST around. Keeps the games fresh for the audience
Almost 14 hrs of NRB content this week, this is the best week of my life
Giving the amnesiac the power of "every night you are told what number night it is" would be hilarious >
All the moments of dramatic irony around Jon’s role 10/10, had so much fun
2 games in a row Jon, as an evil, came out against himself 😂
First time: knew he was evil, convinced he wasn't evil, told everyone he was evil.
Second time: didn't know he was evil, convinced he wasn't evil, told everyone if his power didn't work to kill him 🤣😂🤣
I think he just wants good roles otherwise he’ll just break the game.😂
So glad to see Blair back regularly. Missed her curly wee self! Then when she gets smaller annually I am going to miss her even more
I still don't know how it's even possible for her to get better. 😁
Blair is the best.
Yeah, hopefully she's feeling better next time, she sounded quite sick.
@@TheAngelScorn 😂
I like Blair, but, she has horrible intuition about things. She consistently derails her side.
Absolutely loved Dom's mini rant 1:06:49
That was gold!
The comment Adam makes about the demon killing the king makes so much more sense now that the Kickstarter episode is out for us to watch... XD
Tom and Ben at the helm as the storytellers is a classic duo and I love the knowledge they bring to the role. But very much enjoy seeing other such as Laurie and in this case Adam take a crack at it as well.
@@eazyleezy85 Tom is very cagey on botc he gives nothing away which sometimes backfires. Like here.
@@eazyleezy85 I kinda agree and disagree, I agree that he is very chill, which I think is good because you need some people who are chill to counter all the louder chaotic people.
I like Tom very much as a player as he usually brings something unique to the table. Most games he comes up with something no one else has thought of
I really like Tom as a player in most games, just not in BOTC.
@@gordonshumway3514 ah yes the one person with the different opinion than everyone else 🙃. You must be a genious
Absolute blinder by Tempest, look at him Edgar Allan Go...
‘Twas a great Edgar Allen show
Adam is an amazing co-ST.
Adam's absolute cackling in the corner as Jon's marionette identity was revealed... same Adam, same.
This was soooo awesome! Sometimes, less is more i guess and Tempest played masterfully!
Also, was thinking Jon screwed up by not protesting more. But the fact that he did not protest ended up convinving everyone he was good and that helped at the end as well.
Yeah it felt like he was quick to give up and stick with his assumption of being Townie at that time.
The fact they can now see each other whilst playing must be even more nerve-racking to be on the evil team.
Extremely impressed with Tempest in this game despite his couple of slip-ups! I’m so sad that now I’ve watched every NRB Blood on the Clocktower video over the past two weeks, what on earth am I going to listen to while I work now?!
Haven't watched the game yet (can't wait) but I'd just like to compliment Daddy Ben on his phenomenal t-shirt game. What a guy.
Thanks, smeg head.
What an absolute smeghead!
Content overload from NRB this week. Love it.
Mara: "I'm going to call you the CanNoble." 😂
not dom breaking the fourth wall to drag us 😭
Legend
c'mon Tempest
you should at least wait for the body to stop twitching before you do your evil celebration dance
I love cuts to Dom where he is talking to us like he is losing his mind to the bottle.
All of Tempest's amnesiac 'guesses' were powers that already existed in the game. Curious that nobody pointed that out, as storytellers have thus far only created novel powers.
Yeah, that maybe why Carley had vibes that it was Tempest because her subconscious registered that mistake by Tempest but her logic brain missed it.
Ben always reiterates that to us, but I dont think its repeated that much to the players with every script. Unless a player gets and plays Ben's amnesiac they may not be sure how he chooses to run it
That and players couldve taken it as a sign of Tempest's inexperience at choosing questions
@@PlayerXIII i think this is it. regardless of the actual power, in a world where tempest was the amnesiac, he could have asked those questions even though they would have been poor to ask
Carley looked so pissed at the end that they hadn't listened, she said nothing after the reveal!
Bad sport.
@@tlehto12 uhm no, it happened many times before to her and I kinda understand it feeling bumped
@@tlehto12 damn so judgy off of one video clip
@fprosk it's not based on one clip. I've watched every episode she has been on. And that is what I've picked up from her. She acts like that every time she loses or people don't listen to her.
1:06:50 Marker for Dom's monthly episodic moment where he spirals down into madness 😂
Adam's Poe-inspired stuff was great. But it would have been even better if this script had a Raven-Keeper.
I think Adam asked if they could add one to the script again, but then quoth the raven, "nevermore" 😁
Plot twist: all the players are in different rooms of the same house. It's a big house.
Adam: "What kind of demon would immediately kill the king?"
Me, after watching the Kickstarter episode: "Which demon, indeed...Adam." 😆😆
1:57:48 - A wild Laurie appears! Knew he couldn’t miss an episode 😂
JOIN THE CULT--I mean, GET ON BOARD!
Maaaaan Schrödinger's Sullivan is soooo good. How do you let that slip as an episode title
Carley is a combo of mad and extreme disappointment at the end
47:10 - Shout out to Tom’s Sub/Dom word play joke. That needed WAY more recognition than it actually got.
Also fun - seeing who caught onto the joke.
@@duelist301 she got the Laurie Special
Me too!!
I just binged the whole series. I’m so glad to be caught up! 😅
I have a lot of respect for how good Carley is at this game, but at the same time since she is so good, I can't help but smile when a relatively poor player like Tempest beats her and she has the gloomy facial expression at the end of the game.
YEAH, TEMPEST! Man, that last night/day cycle was wild. Awesome video, as always!
YES! A NEW 1! ❤ I've been binge-rewatching all the other BOtC episodes the past few days and have got thru at least 10 so a new episode on top of that is great 👍
Adam's poetry really adds to this!
What an amazing game by Tempest! I kinda want to see Carley and Tempest team up now.
Yet another exciting & tense game !
Awesome seeing Tempest's win, he played it very well especially with Jon as such a great marionette minion. 😄
Really cool seeing Mara join the group, she had a great game and would be great to see her in future BotC games with No Rolls Barred. 😊
It was a fantastic game overall I just feel for Carley (so happy she's back ! 😊) who once again had the game figured out but no-one wanted to believe it. It's happened multiple times & I imagine it would be very frustrating as a player so hopefully she's ok after it all. 😅 Fingers crossed her words of wisdom will be heard in future games to lead good to a win. 🥺
Also it's always a pleasure to see Ben as the storyteller & Adam being a great partner-in-crime with storytelling.
Thank you, Adam, for brightening my day even more 😍
...now I'll continue to the actual game part of the video 😅
*EDIT* I hope Brooke felt better soon after this! But also, I appreciate her filming this despite being sick, because her brain fog is immediately making things far more interesting 😂
*EDIT* The conversation between Tom "DM-ST" Burgess and Sullivan "Bit Chaser/Cult Leader" Beau Brown is absolutely what I need more of in my life 😂
*EDIT* "You need at least 5 feet between your ball pit and your casual sex pit." Don't mind me, just taking notes...
i understand carley's frustration, but there wasn't much evidence to pin tempest besides her gut feelings. she was being a bit of a sore loser tbh when she's gotten one over on other players in the same way
Right? Crazy how I didnt notice this the first time I watched these, I'm rewatching them all and for some reason this one in particular she has a real stinker of a face going on when the game ended, even after the grimoire reveal and then everyone starts laughing at the comedy bits, though she did muster a smile at the end.
Tempest has an advantage in webcam games: he's wearing a mask! Really fun watch, as always - I look forward to watching these games so much.
Tempest played so so so good this game! I've never seen Tempest play before and it was just amazing to watch. Well deserved win, I was cheering for him to win the whole game!
I hope Adam and Blair keep up the monthly kitty updates.
Favourite part of the whole video was the tiny cameo of Luke at the end
Already disappointed that Dom is not the King again after his antics the first time.

Gotta love the brief cameos from Luke in this one
Tempest is a madman and I love it.

Sully in the forefront. Should be good :)
Nice intro rhyme too
I think Tempest is my favorite NRB player now, this may be my favorite episode yet! Loved the marionette reveal.
Oh Joy! Carley is back for Blood on the Clocktower. This just made my week.
I think tempest was the King in that game. Bravo my boy, Bravo.
Adam’s comment about “who would kill the king right away” makes a lot more sense now that the backer episode dropped
I don't think I've ever seen Jon this quiet as good.
What a banger of a game for Tempest - he carried the whole game.
You guys would be absolutely be great at role playing games. When all of you are invested in a story, it's peak NRB.
I mean, aren't most of them roleplayers? I know Tom and Laurie are big D&Ders, and a bunch of NRB were part of that wrestling RPG that predated this channel...
5 minutes in and it's nice to see Daddy Ben continues to torture poor John Gracy 🤣 This is going to be an epic meltdown
I am really glad that tempest enjoyed himself this game. He have had some games lately where he have seen a bit out of it. But he played really well here and you love to see it.
Also loved that Blair got so pissed at Dom in the beginning that she wanted him to die, despite thinking that he was the sailor.
Nice poem there at the beginning - you guys are killing it with these awesome storytellers!
Sully's transformation into a St. Bernard dog is almost complete now.
That was a brilliant showing of how a marionette can work ! Really enjoyed this
This script would be so crazy if the minion was a baron, you get 4 outsiders 3 of which don’t know they’re outsiders. Then the imp convinces an outsider neighbor they’re the marionette, AND there’s a lunatic.
Ben with the red dwarf shirt knew i liked that lad.
