@@fromrawn9303 for me it ultimately ended up being a space issue. I deleted just enough for the download to start, but then it would always stall. I ended up deleting more things and it finally worked
Fixed mine if you have enough space the go to your storage section delete the apple update then go back to software update it will re-download then will install fine
It is so sad. Please try to update your phone to iOS 17.2 using Mac Finder or on Windows PC with iTunes. i hope, this will work like a charm. if you don't have your own PC or Mac, try to follow it on your friend's computer or borrow one for a few hours.

@@user-dy7lu7yh3c Okay, as you say OTA update not working for you, please try to udpate your PC or Mac computer (Finder), if you do have not a proper device then you should borrow one from your friends, or you can go at nearby Apple store to update your device properly.
Try to back up your iPhone 8 to pc or Mac and after that restore backup from pc to iPhone 14. This might be work for you. 1) for Windows- use latest iTunes version 2) for Mac - connect your phone and locate it on finder sidebar under the location tab.

I was able to download IOS 17.2.1. When I click install it get a message saying "unable to install update an error occurred installing ios 17.2.1"

I managed to solve it by leaving more storage space than the update file even after downloading it.

Yes, As I mentioned on 0:29, if the device doesn't have enough space, then the issue will occur.
Turning on airport mode and wifi, waiting for 30 seconds then turning them back on fixed the problem
