      @@decocookie You're welcome, keep making them.
      I'd like to see you make some 'Ajisai', 'Minazuki', 'Kanoko', and 'Matsukaze'. Those cute rabbit nerikiris that appears once in a while in animes are good too.
      Maybe you could make a whole series of videos on wagashi making. Once the viewers watched what goes into making them, they'll have a better idea on how to choose what they like.
      This is true, especially since in some parts of the world people have Halal or Kosher standard, and there are those who can't eat bovine gelatin or gluten or other types of allergies.
      Knowing what goes into making the food would help them the most... Not to mention the ASMR stuff that you've been doing, and the interesting perspective of your videos.

    These are absolutely fantastic! It made me think though, since shiroan and mochi are hard to come by here, would marzipan have a similar translucency you think?

      thank you!! and maybe you can;)

    • @robinv6461
      @robinv6461 4 года назад +2

      I think that if you are working with marzipan you can better just mix /buy the colors you want . Because marzipan isn't very translucent .

      You can make mochi and shiroan yourself, the ingredients are available in most countries. You should be able to get riceflour for mochi in every asian supermarket. Shiroan is white bean paste, all you need is white beans and sugar.
      Just cook beans until they are really soft, remove the hull and mash them through a sieve. mix with lots of sugar (about 1:1 ratio) and cook the mixture to evaporate moisture until you get a thick paste. Keep stirring the whole time, it'll take a while. Don't dry it too much, it will keep drying after taking it of the heat.
      It's really easy, just a lot of work.
      You could try marzipan, I find the consistency quite similar. A thin enough layer should get you the transparency. But I think it's worth the work for an authentic nerikiri. If you use marzipan, you might get the look, but the taste will be just marzipan.

      有難うございます!!未経験で独学は、ちょっとハードルが高いですよね。私のお勧めは、旅行に行った際、和菓子屋さんの体験教室に行く事です。そのあと、もっと知りたくなったら、独学か、近所のワーキングショップを選ぶのはどうでしょう。最初に和菓子屋さんを勧めるのは、教師の腕と経験、あと旅行先なら人間関係に縛られにくいという点でおススメですよ(*^-^*)
