    I now see why Gillig calls it the "PHANTOM" !

      You are correct on that. Especially, when Transit agencies would paint them in this tuxedo scheme with their local insignia. Night time, You'd hear that loud, roaring 6v92, and see nothing. Then, a set of cab lights, 40 ft apart with a center set, comes out of the Shadows, and is gone before you can blink. Phantom indeed🎉

    yeah its a 6V92TA analog or DDEC Detroit diesel engine with the HT 740 - 748 Allison automatic transmission in the gillig phantom hi floor the same combination as the neoplan AN 440 mcimc9 crusader ii coach 96 A3 or 102 A3 96 A2 or 102 A2 coaches
