I kinda figured that much because from a late 80s to 92 at least most Gillig Phantoms back then had the same motor. From 93 up there's been different stock motors for that model. That was almost 30 years of fine Transit coaches and we will never see them made like that anymore
I finally have confirmed the VIN for this bus and it was originally Capital Metro Transit 1120. A 1986 Gillig Phantom.

Yes, while it may have been specified for Austin, the boys there did not accept it and was later sold to Kent State University.
