I've gone through the Headrush, The Helix floor, the Digitech RP1000 even the Kemper and I haven't found tones as good as the Boss gt100. Instant gratification and for $300 second hand. I absolutely love this pedal!
I've been playing one of these for years and it's great. I recently got back into pedals and have bought a Bonomassa wah wah, OCD, MXR univibe, MXR carbon copy, and Joyo American. So far, the GT100 is as good as any of the pedals, plus I like the fact the GT100 can change it's sound unless you do it, unlike a pedal board with knobs that can move just by taking it out of the case.
I run one of these into a Mesa Boogie Simul Class 395 and 2x Mesa Boogie 2x12 Half Backs. I turn off the cabinet simulation and just use the pre's and fx. I've owned all the Line 6 units from the kidney shaped to the HD500X. I've also had both the TC Nova and the TC Helicon Voicelive 3 and the GT100 beats them all. Especially being able to assign different amps and effects each side. It's exactly what I need and it's built like a brick outhouse! Highly recommended!!!
I'm looking to get back into the grove, I like heavy and clean sound, I need advice about this board, should I look at the firehawk fx? I'm only going to be playing at home and church,
You can play anything on it. A lot of people are saying 80's. Nooooooo..... whatever your style? There's no reason this processor cannot give you what your looking for!! Take the time to learn it, (not that hard with practice) and it's not only Amps, it's complete pedal variations as well. Chorus, flange, OD, various distortion, delay and more. I've gotten tones out of this that were "Heavy as F@#%" and more. Cool tuner built in, bank/save all your creative inputs and your golden. It's really worth every penny. The best part is, I was able to get rid of all the hassle of gigging with extra bags and cases of gear lol. I would recommend this to any guitar player, no matter what your style.🤘🤘
This guy knows his way around a guitar, very nice. This looks like an amazing sound processing device but I'm not sure this is the right one for me based on the demo. Accelerating delay really looks like a lot of fun!! I just feel like I would take something that tries to create perfect sounds and break it. IDK, I would need to play with one for a few hours to see how well we groove.
Of coures he knows what his doing because Rob Marcello is very well known guitarist all over the World and a Private Demonstrator diffrent kinds of Boss guitar effects and Roland musical instruments. FYI.
Amazing review of the GT100. And Marcello plays very good, better than other more known guitarists. He has good taste, and good technic too... and yes, I agree, the intro is the worst music I never heard before in my life ;)
WOW! So did someone time travel from the 80s to the present to review this or did the pedal fall into a wormhole and land in 1987 Wisconsin? Too bad they didn't know about expression pedals back then so he coulda demo'd it here.
is there any way or option to bring or get back all the presets patches like it's brandnew? like formatting the patches/processor something like that, if possible.
Just curious, why would you use a full range speaker with a tweeter and then put a mic on it? You're not even picking up the sound coming out of the tweeter. Wouldn't you get a better reproduction of what he is hearing if you ran the headphone out to what ever source you are using to record your video with? I have a GT-100 and have been searching for the best small stereo set-up I can find for a quick pick up and go rig. Here in Nashville I can't always use my guitar rack full of gear. So if I use a couple of little keyboard amps such as the KC 60's for stereo, wouldn't it be best for me to send a direct signal to FOH?
I'll answer that. Yes. You would want to send a direct signal to the sound board. As far as stage sound is concerned, I play in a band with a guy who runs a modeler into two small powered speakers so he gets a massive stereo sound onstage. It's killer sounding.
I have a full pedal board consisting of BOSS pedals and I love it, BUT, lately I am getting quite a few gigs around cities which are further away. Being in a 4 piece band with 2 guitarists, a drummer and a singer along with only two cars kind of means a lack of transport room. SO. I'm looking for a smaller guitar cab and a more streamlined pedalboard. Do I buy one of these for the road or carry on using my individual pedals ?
Andrew Sorry you aren't happy with the Mustang III. I think it does very well for what it is and the money spent. "Liquid Lead" is as good of a lead sound as ANY I've heard from any modeller, amp or floor including PODHD500. But I think it's strengths are Fender cleans/breakup, and Fender with overdrive pedal-type sounds. The FX loop in works great for devices, its a 100 watt Fender amp! But it's still a small light open back combo- so the Tech 21 or poweramp and cab might be more satisfying.
should I buy gt 100? should I keep my gt 10? I have to decide right now and I dont really know what to do, is gt100 much better?? is it worth the upgrade? not worth?
Do you think It is good to connect a multi effect pedalboard like GT100 or Me70 to Roland KC? I mean using the line output from the Multi effect to the line in of Roland KC to use the amplifier simulation of the pedalboard? Did you try it? I'm thinking about buying a roland KC
How can you switch from one tone preset to another while playing live? Are you going to turn the tone selector with your fingers while playing live? Or can you do it with your foot while playing live? Anyone? Thanks!
I have a Fender Mustang III, but I can't make as good of presets I want like I can on something like this. I don't know if buying one of these and hooking it up to my Mustang III would mess up the sound?? Please get back to me. Would it make my amp sound distorted if I had a clean tone on my Fender amp running tones from the GT-100? Is it not worth it or should I buy a non modeling amp and run it through that instead? Thanks
I have a question. I luv the Shadows music. I'm getting ready to buy a GT-100 so can I recreate the Shadows sound using the GT-100. I think Hank Marvin used a Vox AC-30 amp. Of course I can use one of the amps in the GT100 and it would probably sound just as good.
In my Opinion the Sound of the Boss GT-100 is Top Notch! If you have a GT-1000 or a Headrush Board or what ever, it can‘t Sounds better than the GT-100, while the GT-100 Sounds Top Notch and with the right Amp and Speaker you have the Real Sound and more than the real Sound is impossible and make no Sense!
Everyone is making fun of his voice comparing it to Chris Walken, which I do hear it, but Rob is very Swedish and a great guitarists, taking Andy Timmons spot with Danger Danger, Replacing Harry Cody of Shotgun Messiah, etc etc.
+Diego Zuñiga It depends. If you like the amp modeling (and it is pretty good), then your best bet is to by a transistor amp that is very clean. I played a GT-8 through a Fender FM-212R for years using the amp models built in and was very happy...until I bought a Blackstar HT-60. Now I use the GT-8 solely for effects using the four cable method (i.e. I turn the amp modeling completely off). I am even happier now.
tHESE SOUND LIKE A GOOD DEAL, i LIKE EASY TO USE BOARDS. THIS SEEMS FLEXIBLE. i AM GOING TO CHECK ONE OUT. i THINK ANY ONE OF ME TUBE AMPS WOULD WORK, IF RUN THROUGH A CLEAN CHANNEL.
The 80s never ended for this dude. Awesome.
HULK HOGAN it’s called individuality brother. 🤘🏼
The 80's never ended full stop.
You had Sisters Of Mercy, The Clash, The Mission, The The, Guns And Roses, Nirvana, UB40 etc
I've gone through the Headrush, The Helix floor, the Digitech RP1000 even the Kemper and I haven't found tones as good as the Boss gt100. Instant gratification and for $300 second hand. I absolutely love this pedal!
I knew before he played a note, what kind of music he was going to play.
Fucking good music 🎶🎶
One of the better reviews I've seen on this gt 100.
THE DUDE THAT SAID "The 80's are over, Rob is a good Guitarist. Thanks for the info on the GT-100
He sounded like Yngwie when he used that harmonizer. This guy is a monster musician, he plays those neoclassical lines like its nothing.
Rob will make anything sound good.

This is a great demo! Much better than the ME-80 "demo" that is more of a performance video.
Nice overview Robert Marcello, I bought one these and love it :)
Charles Graham Same here! Got mine from SweeLee Singapore.
Charles Graham tifjfdkdfjgk

Great review and Incredible playing!

Forget about buying this Multi - Effects System, How much would this Guitarist cost me?
this is such an excellent review, and excellent player as well i cant believe his chops
Awesome guitar tone. The keyboard amp complimented the rig. Along with the Fender/ Roland guitar.
Rob is a monster player... really love his demo's
Amazing review of the GT100. And Marcello plays very good, better than other more known guitarists. He has good taste, and good technic too... and yes, I agree, the intro is the worst music I never heard before in my life ;)
Damn man! Tasty playing and you know what you are talking about. Hope you are well. Best Regards!
Rob Marcello is one of the amazing guitarist in the world like Yngwie Malmsteen
Just wow. I still can't believe my eyes.
I just bought a 05 Roland Fc 200 gt pro for $146.90 a amazing deal sounds amazing

Excellent job bro.. Very nice demo..
Great video and playing.

very cool tutorial dude keep them coming
Very cool tutorial keep it up

Wow!nice tones
I don't even care about the pedal. I just want to hear him play.

God Rob is a treasure.

Hello, I'm looking for a second hand Boss GT-100 guitar.
Yeah, my guitar doesn't have those notes on it either.
I have a full pedal board consisting of BOSS pedals and I love it, BUT, lately I am getting quite a few gigs around cities which are further away. Being in a 4 piece band with 2 guitarists, a drummer and a singer along with only two cars kind of means a lack of transport room. SO. WhT amp is he using there?
Which Roland?
it sounds like Carl Cromox! beautiful
Wait so do I have to use it with a piano amp/ pa speakers?
Do they produce the same effect threw a pa.or do u need a amp
I don’t know how can I buy the sound like that, or what is a real connect I can call
What is the amp being used? Maybe a keyboard frfr amp?
Richard Poole Roland KC-60 Keyboard amp. Yes basically a small full rang PA.
@@fullcompass - what is the settings on the keyboard amp the output settings on the GT-100?
he is using the new roland vg strat ?? why was this not mentioned ?
Thanks you gave me knowledge then any other You can play too

Boss GT-100 How does it cost..?
How can you switch from one tone

Are you going to turn the tone

Anyone?
Thanks!
80s still here
@SEAWAVES what about that tune at 2:4O?
1:59 bro wtf...

Que ampli roland es el que esta usando
boa noite pode me informar quantos minutos da pra gravar no loop desse pedal
Good job brother
Share the patches.

Qual ampli você usou , você usou simulação de ampli em cima de outro ampli pode isso ??????
2020 and still looks like a good piece of gear. What do you all think or advice?
Why is your screen red? Mine is yellow.
Só timbre lindo !!!
What's the blue light on his Strat?
FansSports That's a Roland Ready Strat.
line 6 podhd500x or boss gt10??? what will you prefer sir??
I am exactly in this question right now since there are 2 on sale (second hand), I dont know what I would choose. (I have a gt10)
He says 'this is Extreme lead" but the board clearly says "Smooth Lead"....???
How much this pédale?
In my Opinion the Sound of the Boss GT-100 is Top Notch!
If you have a GT-1000 or a Headrush Board or what ever, it can‘t

Can I play my gt100 with my bass guiter??
I wish i knew the Patch settings he's using.
CosmicSea7 just presets
Does anyone know what's the difference between "system 1", "system 2" and "system 3" in "System/preference/preamps"?
So I'm not the only one who uses a Roland KC amp for guitar..
Lucius Malfoy decided to become a rockstar after Harry killed Voldemort.
Vin Helsing Now that's is funny.
what kind of amp i can use with my gt100 to have a really nice tones?? transistors or valves?
+Diego Zuñiga It depends. If you like the amp modeling (and it is pretty good), then your best bet is to by a transistor amp that is very clean. I would use it for Willie Nelson style and genre.😎classical guitar.
Mantapp master...
Magnific How much?I m musicien guitariste i need one ?pliz tell me How much?
Ive seen them for around 499.99 i could be wrong
tHESE SOUND LIKE A GOOD DEAL, i LIKE EASY TO USE BOARDS. THIS SEEMS FLEXIBLE. i AM GOING TO CHECK ONE OUT. i THINK ANY ONE OF ME TUBE AMPS WOULD WORK, IF RUN THROUGH A CLEAN CHANNEL.
