"Midnight Special" Ending Song (HD Audio Blu Ray Source) By Lucero & Ben Nichols

- After watching Midnight Special upon its release, I instantly fell in love with the film. It really captured the style and imagination of movies I grew up with like E.T. and Close Encounters Of The Third Kind, similar to how Super 8 was a throwback to 80's Spielberg but with more of a darker overtone. The only thing I loved more than the film itself was the song that played during the end credits which has not been officially released on the soundtrack. The song is entitled Midnight Special and is performed by Lucero and Ben Nichols (brother to Jeff Nichols, the director) who also wrote the lyrics. The song is a mix of a cover song and added original lyrics as it's been covered countless times in the past by other groups. In order to get the best possible quality, I imported the MKV file from the Blu Ray to Audacity and simply cut, faded and exported it in WAV and MP3 (320kbps) formats. I hope you enjoy and if you haven't seen Midnight Special, please check it out, it really is a fantastic film and stands out amongst other films in the last few years. Take care

I've listened to this song non stop since I rewatched the film, it's so moving and gives me a real nostalgic feeling for some reason
A stand out movie of 2016. It has a great feel to it, supported with a wonderful score. And this final song by Lucero. I stayed until the credits stopped rolling.

Here is a film that can shake you up, and inspire you as well. Not too much dialog, a father deeply loves his son, who is important, although why is nerver made very clear. The haunting song played at the end is achingly beautifull. Watch this more than once.
